Multiple mounting possibilities help you access cloud storage via standard protocols such as SMB and NFS, while also providing single-interface central management of files on the NAS, cloud storage, and remote devices. Mount external storage to your local network attached storage **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Marco D. | Product Lead Technology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2023 **What do you like best about HybridMount?** QNAP's HybridMount makes it extremly easy to mount external storage providers like Amazon's S3, Google Drive and even FTP server resources to your local network attached storage. The HybridMount wizard takes you through the necessary steps to interface the NAS with a service, a process which usually doesn't take more than 15 minutes to finish. **What do you dislike about HybridMount?** Depending on which cloud service you interface with your NAS, HybridMount can be a resource hog. Connecting a remote FTP server with a our mid-tier NAS leads to a constant CPU usage of around 10% just for the HybridMount process. **What problems is HybridMount solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use hybrid mount to create portals to remote storage solutions like Google Drive hosted by our own clients. Our customers can manage their storage as they usually would and can easily and securely exchange project files with us. We also use HybridMount to interface with Amazon's S3 and then map the resulting virtual drive to some of our Windows machines, thereby allowing users to interact with a S3 bucket as it were a local storage solution. ### 2. HybridMount **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Mohammed F. | Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2022 **What do you like best about HybridMount?** 1} It supports numerous cloud storages [including file storage and object storage] as well as S3-compatible object storage and WebDAV-compatible cloud storage. 2} It allows you to map non-natively supported cloud storages to your NAS for higher flexibility in multi-cloud environment deployment. 3} On-premises, private infrastructure that's directly accessible. 4} Not being pushed through the public internet. This greatly reduces access time and latency in comparison to public cloud services. **What do you dislike about HybridMount?** 1} Building a private enterprise cloud requires significant expenditure and can become expensive very quickly with all the physical hardware necessary. 2} It's necessary to consider the bandwidth usage they could take up on the network and whether or not it could cause problems in bottlenecking other applications. **What problems is HybridMount solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is helping to save my business documentations, pdf's, notes and it also helps me to save my personal videos and photos and it also helps me with my online collaborations etc... ### 3. This virtual mount is what that I like most. Mostly I used all the cloud related tools with this. It give a good market value as per the other competitors. **What do you dislike about HybridMount?** This can be improved further by adding multiple interface system. This single interface system sometime slow up our bandwidth. (Note: not checked this recently so they might have improve this) **What problems is HybridMount solving and how is that benefiting you?** In my application I need the cloud service caching. This hybrid mount provide me that in very better way.
