## Huntress Managed EDR Reviews
 ### 1. A quality EDR that removes our stress

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam K. | Project Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress Managed EDR is great. We know that the team that are monitoring our systems know what they are doing. It's simple to setup and maintain and works great with out PSA and Ticketing system. The monthly reporting is great to show customers the value. We get regular alerts and it's easy to review and remediate any issues.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Trust has been eroded in Huntress as they didn't detect a breach via ITDR. Not directly related to EDR but it seems it's growth is possibly making it struggle with keeping up the service.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a smaller MSP it's great to have a team monitoring our clients endpoints and alerting to any issues. We use a different 3rd party AV solution but it's great to have another team checking it's work and verifying the endpoints are secure.

 ### 2. Huntress is World Class

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jake L. | Cybersecurity Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress takes care of all of the toughest cybersecurity tasks for organizations that need it. Our company is too small to staff a 24/7 response team, but Huntress responds around the clock and reports to us on every response. It was very easy to get started, easy to integrate with items, and the number of features it does is incredibly helpful.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The format of incident reports may be hard to read for non-techy people, but its not a problem for us.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress provides 24/7 managed response to endpoints and cloud services. We have also opted to use it as our main SIEM to audit events for clients. The Huntress team are also very helpful and quick to respond for help or to have a conversation about how to do something. Thank you guys!

 ### 3. Huntress helps me sleep at night!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Misty T. | virtual Implementation Division Lead , Cybersecurity Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Previous Response: Huntress has proven to be an invaluable asset in our cybersecurity arsenal, catching threats that other security software often misses. The Host Isolation feature provides peace of mind, allowing us to address threats at our convenience rather than urgently at inconvenient times. The ability to receive text message alerts ensures that we stay on top of new threats promptly. The auto-remediation feature for low-level threats saves us a tremendous amount of time, making our operations more efficient. We highly recommend Huntress to everyone. We have deployed it across approximately 4500 computers for all our clients, and it integrates seamlessly with our RMM software. Additionally, their customer support is phenomenal, always ready to assist when needed.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

GUI is coming along the couple of things that were annoying are now fixed

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fully Auto-Remediating: Huntress has been fully auto-remediating across various divisions and teams, ensuring that threats are detected and resolved automatically without manual intervention1.

Incident Response: Huntress has been crucial in our incident response efforts. For example, during a recent issue with a server firewall, Huntress provided guidance on how to mark the incident as resolved and ensured that the potential security risk was addressed2.

Unresponsive Agents: Huntress automatically uninstalled unresponsive agents from our account, ensuring that we are not billed for inactive agents and maintaining the integrity of our security setup34.

Host Isolation: Huntress's host isolation feature has been effective in preventing unauthorized communication between devices, minimizing the risk of lateral movement during a cyber-attack5.

 ### 4. Huntress Makes SOC/SIEM Deployment a Breeze for MSPs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress is great. Their platform and integrations make managing clients extremely easy. As an MSP Huntress removes a lot of barriers to getting a SOC/SIEM product into our clients' hands. Their integrations with our PSA and RMM make deployment a breeze. Within 4 hours of deploying the agent Huntress found an issue impacting the client which we were able to resolve quickly following their instructions. We just deployed Huntress to our first client and it was a breeze. The integration with Microsoft Defender means our team doesn't need to figure out how another EDR platform works.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I dislike that I didn't know about it earlier. I had an issue with SSO, but that turned out to be on our side, but their support was great in getting it resolved.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is finally filling the security gap of 24/7/365 security review. This allows us to sleep at night.

 ### 5. Comprehensive EDR, Great Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phillip B. | Service Desk Manager

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I like the automated notifications in Huntress Managed EDR, which can be set to email our service desk, creating tickets. I like that it will remediate most things automatically, which means we only have to double-check that they were done or confirm. I also like that it will notify us to check services if they are not reporting properly. We find it comprehensive and good for managing Windows Defender. The initial setup is easy, as it integrated with our management tools and deploys automatically when setting up a lot of companies and sites.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

When there is a critical notification and the machine is isolated for investigation, there are no details on what was detected. If the investigation by Huntress finds that it was a false positive, the alert is closed, which also closes our ticketing system's ticket. There are zero details on what was flagged as a false positive. You do have the option to open a ticket immediately with the Huntress team to get details, and I've had to do that.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR helps me centrally manage AV and firewall, with automated remediation and notifications, easing our workload by handling most issues automatically.

 ### 6. Proactive Protection and Clear Notifications Make Huntress Stand Out

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raul V. | Manager of operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

It's proactive. It's a real threat happens to show up, it will take action and then notify me of what happened.
I also like the integration with O365.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

There has been a cople of instances of users using VPN and Huntress has suspended their access to email. I only knew about the VPN rule when the problem occured. It's a learning experience. I am new to Huntress, but they explained what to do. The thing that can be frustrating is that when the O365 is suspended, I have to go to MS Entra and reactivate the email. If Huntress automaticall suspends it, why cant I just click on a butting on Huntress to activated? For someone not familiar with all the Microsoft universe, it can be hauting.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

People who click on something without thinking about what they are doing.

 ### 7. Seamless SIEM Integration, Superb Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew P.

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I really appreciate the good support and find Huntress Managed EDR easy to use. It's responsive, and I value the detailed reports it provides. When I open up the portal, I can see incidents and get a full detailed report about who, what, when, where, why, and how, as well as the exact directory or location of the issue. This makes it easy for me to know everything about the incidents without feeling overwhelmed. I also like that it provides security templates to send to clients and integrates seamlessly with defenses like from the centralized SIEM antivirus and integration with Defender.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I find the lack of an ignore button for incidents a bit bothersome. Also, I wish it wouldn't trigger ransomware alerts when someone simply moves emails.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR helps with alerts and remediation of security issues. It solves the issue of not knowing what is going on by providing detailed reports, making understanding incidents easy without being overwhelming.

 ### 8. Effortless Deployment, Reliable Security Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andy S. | N, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I like that Huntress Managed EDR can seamlessly integrate with what we already have, such as Microsoft Defender for endpoint. This flexibility allows us to use it alongside our existing security measures, enhancing our overall security framework without the need for major overhauls. Additionally, I really appreciate the ease of deployment. The deployment process is very straightforward, offering scripts and packages with instructions that simplify pushing it out through our RMM. This ease of use translates to less time spent on maintenance and deployment, allowing us to focus on other important tasks. It also provides a central pane of glass that we've been wanting, reducing the need to log in and out of multiple consoles, which streamlines our workflow significantly.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Occasionally, there had been issues with the alerting system where alerts would signal that the EDR or Defender wasn't functioning properly, but the alerts did not necessarily specify the client or device involved. This lack of specificity could impede troubleshooting and resolution processes.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR reduces maintenance time with its ease of deployment, integrating seamlessly with existing tools like Microsoft Defender, offering a central dashboard to streamline operations and minimize console logins.

 ### 9. Essential Protection with Human-Led Precision

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jawad M. | Product Manager

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

What I like most about Huntress Managed EDR is the human-led threat hunting combined with clear, real-world guidance. It feels like having an experienced security team walking through your environment all the time, not just a dashboard with alarms and things like that. It's designed really well for my small team. The platform is lightweight, easy to deploy, and doesn't require constant tuning. It has a really strong focus on precision and attacker behavior.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

One thing that could be improved for Huntress Managed EDR is the reporting and analytics tool. It's really simple to use, but I think a deeper and nicer reporting and analytics tool for the platform would be great.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR provides strong endpoint protection and identifies threats that traditional tools miss. It is especially valuable for small teams lacking dedicated security resources, offering 24/7 threat hunting and expert analysis, saving time and reducing stress with high-confidence, actionable detections and remediation guidance.

 ### 10. Effortless Setup, Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bill K. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I use Huntress Managed EDR to protect our desktops, laptops, servers, and M365. I love the 24/7/365 monitoring and automated response features. It's easy to set up and manage, which I really appreciate. The support team is always clear, responsive, and concise. Cost and ease of use were key reasons for switching to Huntress Managed EDR. Additionally, the initial setup was easy as it deployed smoothly via our RMM.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

minor issues deploying to mac but the support faq's did go in to detail on how to resolve
.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Huntress Managed EDR for 24/7/365 monitoring and automated response to protect our desktops, laptops, servers, and M365.

 ### 11. Easy Deployment, Robust EDR with Excellent Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mitch M. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I use Huntress Managed EDR to protect my endpoints and monitor them for malicious activity, and it has made managing my EDR much easier. I love that it's managed and their support is usually very good. The Huntress Support made the transition to Huntress very easy and it has reduced the 'noise' I have to deal with using EDR. The initial setup was quick and easy, and Huntress provides several options to deploy the clients..

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I would like to see a system tray icon to let customers know Huntress is active.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Huntress Managed EDR to protect my endpoints and monitor them for malicious activity. It has made managing my EDR much easier, reducing the 'noise' I deal with. Their SOC and support enhance client protection.

 ### 12. Invaluable 24/7 Protection with Crystal-Clear Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh B. | Senior Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I use Huntress Managed EDR to protect our clients' devices 24/7, which is crucial since we don't have a large enough team to provide round-the-clock support ourselves. I appreciate the product's ability to find vulnerabilities, viruses, and bad configurations automatically, accompanied by detailed reporting and steps to resolve issues. The level of detail Huntress Managed EDR provides is outstanding; they don't just solve problems and leave us in the dark. We receive full detailed reports outlining action items, tracking who completes them, and who closes them, which is both intuitive and easy to use. The switch from our previous managed EDR, which provided vague answers and lacked transparency, to Huntress Managed EDR has been valuable due to these individualized, clear reports. Plus, the initial setup of Huntress Managed EDR was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Currently the only thing I do not like is the EDR will report an issue like 'other AV' so we go and fix it but it can take the portal sometimes hours before it reflects the fix. It's more of an annoyance than an actual problem.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Huntress Managed EDR for 24/7 client device protection. It automatically finds vulnerabilities and provides detailed reports with resolution steps, addressing vulnerabilities, viruses, and configurations. The level of detail and actionable reports keeps me informed and improves security transparency.

 ### 13. Excellent Cybersecurity Insights at a Great Price

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress provides information to the community about cyber-attacks and methodologies used by threat actors. The reports are clear and detailed with recommendations and processes to follow.
Integration and setup is easy with lots of resources for deployment and visibility.
The portal is generally easy to use and displays the important information quickly.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Support is extremely limited and not phone based, this is most likely why the price is so much lower compared to other vendors while still maintaining quality.
This low price point also has support putting some of the work of troubleshooting agent issues on the client instead of being handled by Huntress.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress provides a strong layer of defense to protect customers from the numerous and unending attacks from threat actors. We are able to provide our customers with true 24/7 protection compared to just an antivirus application.

 ### 14. Searching for an antivirus replacement, found a real SOC 24x7

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piero O. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress Managed EDR brings the comprehensive capabilities of a security operations center, providing 24/7 active monitoring on top of a basic antivirus solution. It is compatible with both the free and paid versions of Microsoft Defender. Security signals are collected through an agent installed on Windows machines, and, when Windows Defender is integrated, directly from the Microsoft 365 Security Tenant. There is also a Linux agent currently in preview.
The whole huntress suite was a game changing in our MSP strategy, helping us to support our customers security needs even at night and during the weekends

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Nothing, but you must consider that Huntress heavily rely on MS Defender.
If there is some other security solution in place, this should be replaced with MS Defender (free or payed subscription) + Huntress.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an MSP, we needed to switch our antivirus solution and move away from Kaspersky. Some of our customers were concerned about pricing, so we initially considered offering two cybersecurity solutions: one for those with tighter budgets and another for clients who required a higher level of security. With Huntress, however, we are able to provide the same solution to all our customers, while still tailoring our offerings to fit each client's budget.

 ### 15. Best software to stop users from getting themselves "hacked"

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Otto R. | Information Technology Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

the EDR is great because it can detect things that are not really viruses but are often abused, getting notifications when users install remote control apps, or "stores" is a life saver, not to mention the integration with defender can catch things that antivirus would never catch.
Also the deployment methodology is a piece of cake, love the single command deployment method, works perfectly with ANY RMM tool.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

the Mac Integration can be painful, but this seems to be more of an issue with MacOs Itself rather than huntress.

And it can be a tad slow on querying the AV status or assisting on resuming the AV when the AV stalls.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Users constantly giving away their MFA, conditional access and everything away. Huntress the MDR in particular has saved us literal hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions probably.

The logging and SIEM system is ease to use, the identity monitoring is great, we have seen SO many users who got saved thanks to huntress.

And the support, something goes wrong? it takes usually about a minute literally to get in contact with a technician on the dashboard and so far we have never had a case they could not assist with.

 ### 16. Just a fantastic SOC Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gareth C. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Its ease of deployment is what sold Huntress to us. Huntress was so easy to integrate into our RMM with a prebuilt automation script and clear, concise KB guides on how to configure the agent also made life much easier. In as little as 2 days we had onboarded 850+ machines with agents installed and reporting back to the dashboard.

All of our Service clients are fully enrolled, and the team use the dashboard daily. We have only had to use Customer Support a couple of times but in each case the support level has been fantastic with most issues resolved there and then.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The only issue we have run into is not so much Huntress but the MS Defender engines. When removing the old EDR solution Defender struggles / fails to restart all the modules / engines leading to alerts in the control panel. These require manual intervention which is a little time consuming but in no way Huntress' fault.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In addition to Managed ITDR and Managed SIEM, the Managed EDR Solution is enabling us to provide a fantastic SOC solution at a cost that makes objections few and far between. We looked at several SOC solutions and the simple ease of use and entity management was just far superior

 ### 17. Incredible product, its the one product we insist our clients use for us to support them

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Riley D. | Standards & Centralized Services Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Unmatched security monitoring and incident response, saved our client's networks/identities many times.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Reporting is VERY limited; hard to prove to our clients the immense value Huntress EDR and ITDR brings

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

catching breaches, bot at Endpoint and Cloud/Identity levels as they happen and stopping the breaches in their tracks

 ### 18. Easy Deployment and Overnight Alert Monitoring You Can Trust

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Knowing that there is a team on the other end monitoring for alerts even overnight, ready to respond and to involve me (as a SOC team leader) if needed. Very easy to deploy and configure, easy to manage. They also have a very helpful support team that is always ready to respond.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The logs that you can search when only purchasing Huntress EDR (and not their other products) are not as helpful as I'd hoped, and the UI for that menu is not as useful as I wish it was.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ensuring that client EDR detections are addressed even if they come in overnight.
Ensuring that our clients (and our own internal company) is protected from ransomware.

 ### 19. Outstanding Support and Powerful Endpoint Protection

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hunter B.

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I am thrilled with Huntress Managed EDR and find the support provided by both the product and its customer service to be nothing short of excellent. I handle a variety of clients, each with multiple devices, and Huntress Managed EDR meets our needs effectively. The integration capabilities, particularly with Microsoft 365 Monitoring, Endpoint detection, and the exceptional SOC support, are standout features that elevate the user experience to an impressive level of excellence. Their SOC support is immaculate, always ready to assist with any critical investigations or escalations, providing a sense of security and trust. I appreciate the strong business and customer support, which consistently exceeds expectations. The inclusion of SIEM logging is a major highlight that I was genuinely excited about, and the integrations Huntress supports are incredibly useful. Furthermore, my loyalty to Huntress Managed EDR is underscored by the fact that I never felt the need to switch to another product.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

N/A

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Huntress Managed EDR for Microsoft 365 account and endpoint protection. Their SOC support is responsive, elevating its value with seamless integrations like SIEM logging. This enhances security management and client support across multiple devices.

 ### 20. Non-intrusive Protection Against Advanced Threats

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon H. | System & Cloud Director, Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I really like that Huntress Managed EDR is lightweight and doesn't slow down the client. Alerts go to the Huntress SOC instead of constantly bothering the client with alerts they may not understand, which other solutions often do. It has proven itself multiple times when Defender alone wouldn't have protected the client. Plus, it's super easy to roll out and set up, even though it's a bit more complex with Mac due to security constraints, it's still pretty easy.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Differences between incidents and escalations not the clearest at first, but we soon learnt this

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR protects us and our clients from modern advanced threats beyond basic antivirus. It's lightweight, doesn't slow down clients, and filters alerts to prevent client overload. It's proven effective in cases where Defender alone fell short.

Our clients love it

It’s become a core part of our cybersecurity stack, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other MSPs looking to strengthen their endpoint protection.

 ### 22. Huntress is THE Solution to Managed EDR

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James A. | General Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress provides us with recommendations to facilitate the cleanup after something is detected.
Huntress operate 24x7, giving us and our clients peace of mind.
Huntress very easily integrates with our RMM for easy deployment, and our PSA for easy ticket management. The ease of integration makes it a no-brainer, and as such we have it deployed for EVERY managed client.

The support team are top notch providing well explained and well documented answers.

Our account manager is also a fantastic rep for Huntress. She frequently reaches out to us (not in an attempt to sell us anything), but to check in, make sure we're doing okay, and offer his assistance wherever we might be able to use it.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

It is very hard to dislike anything about the Huntress Managed EDR tool.
If i had to choose something, and trust me, i am nitpicking, i would say that the software does not (yet) have some form of tamper protection, allowing an admin user to freely uninstall it from an endpoint.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress fits in to our service offering as a Managed EDR solution.
Previous offerings were twice as expensive or more, and with less features or value.
Huntress provides us a solution that is easy to deploy, easy to operate, and easy to understand.
It just works!

 ### 23. Great tool and service!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reed V. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress just works, very little to configure and really works differently from other EDR. Does not put huge strain on system or disk and sometimes so easy you don't even know if it's working. Then you get an alert... and the proof is in the pudding. This tool picks up what everything else misses. Had another EDR and Huntress on a machine today and Huntress tracked, alerted, and stopped a web based attack from establishing persistence on a machine. The other EDR had nothing about the event at all.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Sometimes the lack of configuration and ease of use makes it feel not as superior as it actually is to some of its competitors.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is able to identify behavioral processes that other EDRs dont pick up on. Sometimes you are unsure it is even operating due to the lack of context from both the local agent (which is good) and the administrative console. Would love to see a way to deep dive agent telemetry from the console as like a special view for forensics and investigation purposes.

 ### 24. Quick responses and thorough monitoring

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress has been great at catching things our organization doesn't have enough staff to monitor for. The platform is thorough and responsive, and the support team has been easy to contact and work with. I'd highly recommend them to any business looking to improve their security without implementing an internal SOC.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I've had some trouble connecting to isolated devices with the 'Tooling IP' feature, but I also have not reached out to support for assistance with this yet, so that may be on me.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small MSP with no internal SOC and are only open during regular business hours. Huntress has been a huge help in detecting threats out of normal office hours and disabling/isolating/locking systems or accounts until we have someone who can address the issue. Huntress also catches things I haven't been doing this long enough to have noticed, such as a malicious service running.

 ### 25. Easy Setup and Stellar Support, But Mac Installation Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phillip P. | Cyber Security Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress EDR is great, The software is incredibly easy to install via RMM and the SOC support are amazing. The few Times i have had to contact them they have been able to explain everything clearly and helped me to resolve the issues. The UI is nice and easy to navigate. We have also integrated it into Halo PSA to have alerts create a ticket so a tech can check them asap

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Installing on MACs is a pain and cannot be done via RMM without using a MDM solution.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress has helped protect our systems. It has already prevented multiple attacks on a few of our customers. The SOC are knowledgeable and knows what they are talking about.

 ### 26. Easy to Manage

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis C. | System Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Still very consistent and the soc and product support is very good at assisting when needed

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Improved Defender integrations especially with defender XDR would be great.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a strong security solution for us with good integration with various products.

 ### 27. I was told that the Tool was going to be good but is better than that

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress provides me with complete peace of mind through its monitoring capabilities. The platform provides me with assurance about customer safety while verifying Microsoft Defender's proper operation and threat detection performance. The continuous background monitoring of Huntress protects my clients' systems from threats while providing me with a dependable security solution for my business operations.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The platform lacks the capability to manage firewalls directly through its interface. The platform would benefit from enhanced system details about each PC through additional features that show system configurations and hardware status and network activity information. The endpoint detection capabilities of the solution are excellent but the system requires additional features to become a complete security solution.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Huntress solution enables me to verify that my customers' endpoints stay under constant protection from sophisticated threats which standard antivirus solutions cannot identify. The solution provides me with monitoring capabilities to verify Microsoft Defender functionality while delivering additional protection through detection and response capabilities for all devices. The solution provides me with assurance about customer safety while minimizing attack detection risks and freeing up time that would be needed for manual system checks and problem resolution.

 ### 28. Effortless Setup, Exceptional Support Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony H.

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

I love how Huntress Managed EDR monitors our customers' systems to prevent malware infections. The staff is exceptional, from Sales to Support, everyone is great. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and very responsive when I need them. The initial setup was extremely easy, so easy that I thought I was doing something wrong. Overall, everything about it is great and I can't think of anything that needs improvement.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Can't think of anything.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR monitors our customers' systems to prevent malware infections.

 ### 29. Leaders at what they do

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James H. | 2nd Line Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The UI is simple to use, has every feature I'd want in a SOC solution, it's easy to implement for customers, support is almost instant and eager to help, and integrates with our NinjaOne RMM software and ticketing system.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

When rolling out to customers, we frequently have to disable the SIEM section, however this is the extent of the issues we have and they're already reviewing a way to disable this by default.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress provides us with a dedicated 24/7 team who will notify us of any potential issues/concerns and give us step-by-step instructions on how to resolve them, it's that extra bit of security that every company needs.

 ### 30. Huntress lets you rest easy, knowing someone is watching.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave J. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The fact that as an 1 person MSP, I have a security team watching 24/7. The fact that they are constantly monitoring and can take proactive action is great. I haven't had to use that yet and I hope I dont have to, but it's nice to know they are there.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

So far, I haven't come up with anything. It seems to be lightweight on the clients and doesn't cause any issues.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cybersecurity is getting tougher and tougher. Huntress integrates with Defender, so your EDR and Antivirus can be managed and seen in one place. By using Defender, we do not have to purchase another AV solution.

 ### 31. Why Huntress is worth it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian L. | Network Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

That not only is it cost effective to deploy as an MSP but it provides top notch service as well and I can rely on it to protect myself and customers. Its super easy and quick to deploy saving us time and we like that ability for the alerts to intergrate into our Connectwise Ticketing.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I honestly can't think of something I dislike about it. It provides me everything I need.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most impactful thing Huntress has been helping with lately is catching users falling for fake captchas and alerting us. This would of been hard to detect before unless the user notified us.

 ### 32. Effortless Deployment, Comprehensive Endpoint Monitoring

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liam E. | Chief Technology Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I like the user interface and the reporting features of Huntress Managed EDR. The integration with Defender is also a big plus as all our endpoints, including those of our clients, use Defender as antivirus. Plus, the deployment was fast and the training was sufficient, making the initial setup incredibly easy.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I dislike that there isn't enough detail on vulnerability assessment within Windows Defender.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Huntress Managed EDR for detecting endpoints on Windows devices and monitoring them 24/7.

 ### 33. Easy. Effective. Enjoyable

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

We are a company on the smaller side in terms of staff, Using Huntress managed EDR gives us the flexibility of not stopping our work flow while still ensuring our customers security.

We get alerts quickly with an easily implemented PSA Intergration.

Customer support is fast through the live agent and I've yet to run into an unpleasant experience with a support agent.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The only thing I can say I "Dislike" about Huntress is that in the tool-allow-list I can only input static IP's instead of DNS. The RMM we use changes their static IP's a lot so its not really manageable to keep these updated.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives our team time to not have to crawl through logs of various devices, we get the filtered information and solutions made by the SOC team. Giving us more time for other things

 ### 34. Huntress Managed MDR

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The support is the best feature of the Managed EDR. Anytime we have had issues to resolve or questions, we are able to easily get ahold of someone and have them look into it. We always get back easy to follow advice/remediation. Getting setup and integrating it into Connectwise Automate was extremely easy, a lot easier than some other security solutions that we were deploying at the same time.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The only portion of Huntress Managed EDR that gives me pause is that it doesn't have its own A/V, that it sits on top of Windows Defender. Defender is a good product, but not as good as paid service.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All of the cyber insurance forms that we fill out ask if you have MDR, and this is able to check that box. We are able to provide a low cost solution to our clients that has been as effective or more effective as our previous MDR solution. We also don't receive junk alerts from the software, which take time away from working on real problems.

 ### 35. Exceptional Support, Vigilant Endpoint Protection

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jake H.

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I like that Huntress Managed EDR helps keep a vigilant eye on a diverse amount of endpoints. I really appreciate the support, as the support team is top tier. The documentation is also helpful.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I have no disklikes.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR helps keep a vigilant eye on a diverse amount of endpoints.

 ### 36. Amazing Service, Brilliant Onboarding and Fantastic Team!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

What I love about Huntress Managed EDR is its proactive cybersecurity approach.

It continuously monitors and detects threats, ensuring they are mitigated before causing damage.

The user-friendly interface and detailed reports make managing security incidents easy and swiftly, while the responsive support team provides peace of mind.

Huntress Managed EDR has been a dream to onboard and intergrate into our existing tech stack.

I can't imagine life without it.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Mac Installation is a little tough using automation but it does everything else perfectly!

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR addresses several key cybersecurity challenges for us.

Threat Detection and Response: It identifies and mitigates threats before they can cause significant damage, ensuring continuous protection to endpoints and user identities.
Ease of Use: The awesome UI simplifies the management of security incidents, making it accessible even for those without extensive cybersecurity expertise to look into what is needed most.
Detailed Reporting: The reports provide clear insights into security events, helping to understand and improve security posture.

 ### 37. Huntress EDR proved its worth within 30-days for clients

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mason B. | Senior Technology Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

EDR was an easy sell to my clients as more often then not, all we had to do was deploy a trial and almost immediately EDR detected threats that the previous managed A/V product we used had not detected at all. The rollout/deployment of Huntress was also a breeze using Connectwise Automate RMM it was deployed quickly and without interaction being required.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Until recently it was difficult to interact with Huntress' NOC directly to ask questions or get specific support on an issue until they added the ability to open a request with them for direct communication.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress EDR found persistent threats and unwanted software quickly that our previous cloud-managed AV solution had completedly ignored. The catch rate and automated resolutions was a huge timesaver versus our previous solution that repeatedly required manual admin intervention at the machine level to completely & successfully remove a detected threat. It's also been a very easy sell by demonstrating it's superior detection capabilities over out previous cheaper-but-far-less-effective solution.

 ### 38. Huntress exceeds expectations with EDR

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joost v. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Today had a client click on a captcha on a website he thought was secure but turned out to be bad and it started to execute some powershell scripts and other malicious items. Huntress detected and immediately isolated the device until further investigation could take place.

Fact that their monitoring worked so well is what I'm impressed with. Client was unhappy at first but once understood the nature of the isolation we were able to get resolved allowing Huntress Agent perform the remediation steps automatically.

Overall great product and proves how solid this platform is with Huntress

Also support now has a Chat available to assiste with the incident investigation and remediation. The tech was super helpful and had full knowledge how to help me and resolve the issue.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I don't have anything bad to say about Huntress EDR

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping endpoints secure with their scanning tools and isolating them (endpoints) when something malicious runs.
The SOC is also very knowledgeable in assisting MSP Administrators like myself to help with incident, remediations and explaining the timing of releasing system from isolation.

Huntress EDR is primary tool to keep systems safe and secure.

 ### 39. What a fantastic product!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack B. | Technical Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Using Huntress is like having a wing man in Cyber Security. Always has your back when ever you need.
It has been a dream to use and deploy to our customers. With in a span of 3 weeks, 2500 endpoints. We were online!

The alerts and isolation of endpoints are instant and the reports that come with it, detail exactly what happened and even provide remedation for the endpoint. With a few clicks and a restart that endpoint is ready for action again! Automated remedation.

When ever I need to support from their SOC or Product support, I usually get it all resovled with in a single chat. The live suppport is amazing to work with and has some real personality as well. Shout out to the Support Teams!

We intergrate ours with our PSA (AutoTask) to generate tickets and alerts from the system and helps us keep track of remedations and SLAs to resolve issues. Though, I am usually sitting in the portal everyday watching endpoints come online and begin working with Microsoft Defender.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress is an amazing product, however what would make it better is more reporting!
The reports are based on Monthly and Quarterly for your tenant and each client.
I want to be able to be able to pull a report on Agent Health (And more information around why an agent is degraded like Other AV - AV Name/s), Alerts against agents as like an over view for a client or even for our tenant.
They do have an API that we can use to create our own which is something I am considering devloping for our business however intergrate reports would be amazing.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem that Huntress is resolving is catching and stopping the spread of a worm or a virus and protecting end user data.
Yes, any other AV would do this however the dashboards and interfacing with them can be super clunky. Slow to load or annoying to use.
Huntress sits on top of Windows Defender and doesn't use any extra Firewall/AV engine. Just the one that comes with a Windows PC.

 ### 40. The Huntress Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kenny p. | Service Desk Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

What I like best about Huntress Managed EDR is the team behind the product. From the SOC right through to the account managers (shout out Chris With). We have this enrolled to nearly 4k endpoints and receive constant support and updates via the portal. Features such as ransomware canaries and the ability to manage Windows Defender are big selling points for us, it also plays nicely with other MDR's/XDRs.

We roll Huntress out almost weekly to new endpoints within our RMM platform and the support pages have scripts for almost all RMM platforms. It's so easy to roll out and implement.

The ability to be called or SMS'd when a P1 is active is excellent too, although remember to not ignore calls from Maryland!

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I don't dislike anything about the product itself as I think it's the best product we offer in our stack. However, when looking at unresponsive agents, there is no "Update Agent" option within the OS itself.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress is allowing our end-users peace of mind knowing that if something isn't right with their machine, its being support by a world class SOC and a team that can respond by putting the machine into Isolation should it need to.

 ### 41. Huntress EDR Always has my Back

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe C. | Network Administrator - MSP, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress EDR is very lightweight, but also does many things to protect our clients. It is very easy to deploy with our RMM Tools. We are instantly alerted to any detections and the automated response functionality of disabling the endpoint is crucial. Customer support is also easy to get in touch with which is always a plus in these security events.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

It can be a little noisy with False/Positives, but in the security world it is always better to be safe than sorry.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress EDR is providing us with above and beyond protection of traditional AntiVirus and is working side by side with it. It protects us from new security threats such as Malware and Ransomware. The automated response is benefiting us because these threats need to be dealt with quickly when found and we are not always available when the threats are discovered. So Huntress has our backs so we don't need that 24x7 manual response.

 ### 42. A game changer for our team’s security

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Valentina A. | Incident response specialist, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The major strength of Huntress Managed EDR is its ability to identify potential threats as soon as possible to eliminate them. How it integrates perfectly with other security platforms makes our security operations so efficient, not requiring much input from us. The alerts it provides are more understandable as well as executable, which allows us to make swift decisions for the subsequent phases. So far, it has been helpful in maintaining the protection of our endpoints it also has helped in preventing the incidences of security breaches.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Originally, Huntress Managed EDR is rather good product, but I found that this consumes a significant amount of system resources and that may, depending on the hardware, slows things down. At times, alerts overload the system, meaning an individual must filter through them to nab major threats. Furthermore, although the tool is sturdy, there seems to be limited ability to fine-tune it to various business requirements since this usually gives the impression of being a restricted exercise.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR provides an effective solution to the problem by constantly notifying its users and providing actionable solutions all at once. We have been able to notice significant changes to the potential risks beforehand and act swiftly to security threats thus making the changes a success. Not having to work on as many occurrences, means that our team can prioritize on more relevant work without always being thrown by new threats or concerns.

 ### 43. Comprehensive threat detection and prevention system

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jade A. | MSP Systems Technician, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The good thing is that Huntress Managed EDR simplifies the process of both identifying hidden threats as well as remediation. It’s very user friendly and it just worked with our RMM tools already so it integrates easily into our work flow. What makes threat alerts so useful is that they come with expert recommendations, so we can fix vulnerabilities fast. The automation removes a lot of pressure off of our team, so we can continue to uphold high levels of security without any extra work.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

There’s a relatively limited number of reporting options in Huntress Managed EDR to offer which I do not like at all. Nevertheless, we cannot go as deep as we would like in the customization of reports, so often, there is a need for using other tools. Furthermore, the software can be more specific in its notifications as they seem to flood the system at one time. These weaknesses result in inefficiency during the period of high tasks workload.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR is an incredibly good at finding stealthy threats, drastically reducing our manual investigation time. For much of this threat detection automation, it offers clear, actionable insight to help resolve things quickly. It helps us to cut loss and risk our clients being down time. It’s also a good tool for building trust from the client since we’re able to show the client how we proactively protect their systems.

 ### 44. Huntress Managed EDR - Great Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark H. | Technical Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Since deploying Huntress, we have experienced a marked reduction in security incidents. For example, in the first six months, Huntress identified and mitigated 12 active threats, including 5 malware attempts and 3 suspicious user activities that bypassed our traditional antivirus solutions. These threats were neutralized before they could escalate, preventing potential data breaches.

Additionally, we've seen a 35% decrease in time spent on threat investigations, allowing our IT team to focus on other critical tasks. Overall, Huntress has brought an added layer of security that has been invaluable in safeguarding our infrastructure.

Huntress Managed EDR was easily deployed by our implementation team, with the entire process taking only a few hours from start to finish. Its seamless integration with our existing infrastructure required minimal configuration, allowing us to quickly enhance our security without disruption.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The only aspect we’d like to see enhanced is the reporting customization, as more granular options would be helpful for tailoring reports to our specific needs. That said, the standard reports are comprehensive and provide valuable insights, and we’re confident that any future updates will continue to improve the platform.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR is solving the critical problem of detecting and responding to advanced threats that traditional antivirus solutions often miss, such as persistent footholds and lateral movement within our network. By proactively identifying and neutralizing these threats, Huntress has significantly reduced our risk of cyberattacks and data breaches, saving us both time and potential financial loss. This has given our team peace of mind, knowing that even the more sophisticated threats are being continuously monitored and swiftly addressed.

 ### 45. An EDR that feels like you're working with real people!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael L. | Senior Technical Advisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress provides accurate and informative reports about all incidents.

An accurate and complete timeline of events, accurately identified traces and footholds, and even easily scriptable removal instructions can be found in every applicable incident report.

There is far less junk to wade through than competitive products. We spend less time wading through false positives, and it's easy to make sane detection filters to weed out things like our other tools doing their job.

But my favorite part is the support.

With most EDR products the "security analysts" who are reviewing the case are very clearly not very knowledgeable. It can be frustrating to be receiving support and feedback from someone who clearly doesn't actually understand the detection themselves. With Huntress every single analysis and support ticket I have participated in has been handled by a knowledgeable and helpful tech who understood the issue at hand.

Integrates seemlessly with Microsoft Defender and so can be deployed immediately on all workstations without any additional implementation steps. We use it everywhere and every day now, replacing four other EDR and AV products with Huntress+Defender.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Some of the exceptions don't work in the way you would expect. This is especially true when exceptions have been set locally on a workstation that conflict with or supplant those set in policy.

It can be difficult to exempt software suites that use a lot of different executables, and is necessary to exempt them for performance reasons.

Performance impact is higher than some other products, but more middle of the pack here.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Drop in replacement for multiple different EDR and AV products, as well as allowing us to have piece of mind - I no longer worry something is going to happen overnight and I won't know. Huntress catches any incidents, locks the endpoints, and calls us if something happens.

 ### 46. Huntress has been a great experience, and keeps improving

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shawn F. | CISO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress EDR has been easy to deploy, covers a good attack surface, and has been teaching our team about best security practices and how to resolve incidents that come in. I appreciate the good audit trail and integration with our PSA. Incident Reports are just the right length, detailed, and do a good job of explaining things. Automation is quick and works well, saves a lot of time for my team.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

I can't say there is something I dislike about Huntress EDR. Most of the non-critical noise it creates can be removed, but it's making our client's security posture stronger, so I don't count it as a dislike.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The EDR allows for a safe security layer to catch and stop threat actors that are able to gain access, often because a client didn't follow our recommendations, so that we can show our clients that their security gaps are actively being used.

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The product can be very well automated and many things are also evaluated automatically. In the past, we often ignored the dashboards of other products because only alarms appeared and it became a habit. With Huntress, we know that when an alert comes in, it really is an alert!

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

We would like to have German-speaking support - also in sales, as it is not easy for me and my colleagues to understand everything quickly

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Compliance requirements

 ### 48. MSP Using Huntress

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress is easy to use, with just a few clicks to connect a tenent, or roll out the agent we can roll it out very easy.

If you ever need help, their customer support is very good with lots of documentation and the live chat is answered within minutes. We log into it every day to view our dashboard which shows all the clients in one view.

We also have it intregrated into our other platforms, so everything is in sync.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

The MDR platform needs a bit more work, but more gets added to it each week and it finds issues with client accounts when they get comprimised.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives us a SOC that is 24/7, we cannot hire something to do this due to the size of our business. The products price point sits at a point where my clients are happy with it.

 ### 49. Huntress Managed EDR

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Huntress EDR has narrowed out a perfect spot in the field of Endpoint Protection in terms of access, affordability, and product features. The product is easy to install, integrate, and manage. Knowing there is a great team supporting you and reviewing the incidents takes a lot of stress off our shoulders. Their alerts are clear and concise so know when we need to jump in and they make it easy to review their suggested impact mitigations! We love Huntress and use it all the time!

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

Honestly, there hasn't been anything thus far to complain about. The product and the interface do everything they need to and more.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntess protects all of our higher level endpoints where we need to know without a certainty of a doubt they will get monitored and protected.

 ### 50. Powerful protection against cyber threats

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Huntress Managed EDR?**

One thing I like much about Huntress Managed EDR is its ability to detect threats before they occur. One of the best features I deem advantageous is the way it actively scans all of our endpoints for aspiring malicious activity. I also love the way it just sits nicely on top of our current security tool set and let’s you use tools you already have. This integration we can address threat more proactively or practically, the general safeguard without the hindrance of work.

**What do you dislike about Huntress Managed EDR?**

One weakness that I have come across regarding Huntress Managed EDR is that it produces occasional false threats. Despite this, we need to be careful for these alerts may lead to unplanned investigations that waste the time and effort of our team. In addition, the design of the application may be improved as it is not very user friendly when it comes to some of its functionalities and sometimes it can be rather challenging to manoeuvre around some options hence we may end up wasting valuable time responding to emergencies or critical incidents.

**What problems is Huntress Managed EDR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huntress Managed EDR solves the problem of endpoint security by offering continuous monitoring and threat detection. We can no longer be counted among those struggling to keep their businesses safe. Their reports allow us to gain insights which then inform our security posture and ultimately improving safety of our data and systems. We have a decent system in place so we can raise the red flag when something is coming up, and my colleagues and I feel more secure because of it.
