It would benefit from a reorganization that makes configuration easier and more intuitive. At times, it’s difficult to tell which environment you’re working in and where specific settings are located. More recently, as we’ve been protected against more and more bot attacks, we’d also like better visibility into when these events occur. Our business’s IP lives in the data we present to users, so defending against malicious scraping and other attacks is a huge benefit. The UI/UX is fantastic to use, and they’re continuously working on improvements as well. The SSO integration with Okta for authentication and authorization is pretty good. The HUMAN enforcer that sits in our platform processes requests very quickly, which helps with site performance for us. Overall, I believe it’s a great ROI for our org. The support team is the best. They’re very understanding, willing to help with any kind of assistance we need, and they truly provide 24/7 support for any cases. Their latest work on traffic analysis and bot analysis with AI has been very helpful for dashboard creation and for flagging things we might otherwise miss with the naked eye. Human has a managed service that has been very helpful to us in identifying and blocking bots, and also in managing false positives. Our development teams can easily integrate new services to ensure they are protected. It is helpful also in DDoS attacks where some requests that evade our anti-DDoS solution are blocked by Human Bot Defender. It allows creating custom rules that can be very tailored and they can be updated via API to easily keep lists updated, for example of company IPs. The product collects advanced signals to better detect bots and other malicious actors. The challenges are low-friction for our users, and we like that they’re customizable to match our branding. This gives customers confidence that the challenge is related to our apps. Web integrations and implementations are quick and easy, so you can start getting insights from day one. The data in the portal is easy to consume, which helps our entire team use it effectively—from analysts up to senior management. HUMAN has continued to invest in UI enhancements, providing greater detail around the attacks happening in our environment. We also find the 24/7 support via Slack very helpful. Support is quick and transparent, and it’s easy to update cases in real time. We have seen continued investment in new features that help better detect and mitigate attacks. We’ve found that some mobile integrations can be time-consuming and require thorough testing to make sure every component is working correctly before rolling out to app stores. In our experience, this is true for any bot tool that relies on an SDK for integration. We’d also like to see stronger out-of-the-box efficacy when it comes to detections. Some tuning is needed before moving the tool into mitigation to deliver the best customer experience. We used to have bots hijack our products before the hype sales even began, the waiting room we were using and the out of the box bot solution from our then CDN was not able to mitigate that. After getting Bot Defender a big majority of the bot attacks got resolved like magic. Now ith the addition of AI agents management we can fine tune which AIs to allow in and for what actions. I handled the initial integration on Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and I’d say it’s a straightforward, easy-to-use product. From a DevOps standpoint, it would be helpful to have more alerting options, or additional ways to set up rules to identify malicious users, so we can respond more quickly when incidents occur.
