## Hudu Reviews
  ### 1. Good Integrations, But Needs Search and UI Improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elliot M.

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I really appreciate Hudu's consolidation of knowledge and its easy-to-use knowledge base and article/asset tracking. The many integrations and API capabilities are great for building what doesn't exist currently. I like the quarterly update schedule where new features are added, and it's great that they actively look at and work on suggestions submitted in the roadmap. It's easy to suggest features or report bugs/UI issues, and it's comforting to know that other users can upvote and comment on these issues. The initial setup for self-hosting was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

The search really sucks, and the articles not having a tree view creates a situation where you don't want to use folders because it's all nested, and you are unable to find articles due to the search being a little broke, which leads us to stubbing out all the articles in the parent folder, or creating a custom script that creates a table of contents. Their export of the companies does also not include the KB articles, only custom assets.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hudu consolidates our knowledge efficiently, making it easy to use as a knowledge base with article and asset tracking. The integrations and API allow for building custom solutions where needed.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Thanks for leaving a review, Elliot! I encourage you to leave your feature requests at https://feedback.hudu.com - we appreciate any and all feedback.

  ### 2. Affordable, Open Source Alternative with Some Complexity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick F.

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I like Hudu because it's pretty much an IT Glue open source edition, and it's simple and easy to use. It's also affordable, or even free. I appreciate how it helps us solve the problem of centrally managing information, making it easier to search for computer assets and have all the necessary information linked to the asset instead of searching individually. This linked information could be articles or whatever it might be. The tracking of BAAs and expirations is important for notifying us, and I can easily find related items like a knowledge base article for servers.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

I think that at times Hudu has too many options, and you can get lost within the features that it offers. For our IT team, the initial setup was extremely difficult because we decided to go with the open source route. It started to get easier over time, but we found it was an annoyance or too much to manage, so we switched to the hosted option.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu for password management and server documentation. It helps centrally manage and easily search asset information. Though the open source setup was tough, their hosted option alleviated the management hassle.

  ### 3. Innovative Features, Effortless Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I like the layout of Hudu's UI, which makes it user-friendly. I appreciate the amount of features and customization options available, which provide flexibility to suit different needs. The rate of new feature rollouts is impressive, and features like the New Hudu Radar keep the experience fresh and exciting by offering new ways to manage our clients' networks. The initial setup was pretty easy, which was a relief. The price and features were key reasons for switching to Hudu from IT Glue, and I'm pleased with the decision.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Maybe on the Home page of a client's page I could pin certain passwords or pages that I often go to for that client. And it would be nice if each technician from my team could do the same but for what they want.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu for documenting IT systems, managing passwords, configurations, and sharing documentation with clients and IT support staff.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Thanks for the kind words! We’re glad you’re enjoying Hudu’s steady evolution. We’re always working to improve our integrations and appreciate your feedback.

  ### 4. Streamlined IT Documentation with Excellent Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Curtis H. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I like the no-nonsense approach of selling the application without upcharging for everything. I also like the library of integrations. Integration into our RMM and Network Scanning tools helps immensely with keeping up with dynamic networks and configurations. The initial setup of Hudu was very easy and straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

The only two hurdles I've run into that annoy me is biometric login on the mobile app. Often times I just want to scan my finger and be in but I have never been able to get the biometrics setup on the app. I also don't like that on the app there are certain assets you cannot create from it. I'd like some more time spent on the app experience since when I'm on the app I want things to work quickly. Other than that I'd like the folders to be more obvious, I had a technician waste an hour not realizing there were folders in place for some documentation.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hudu keeps documents organized and prevents duplicate work for our company. Its integrations with our RMM and Network Scanning tools help immensely with managing dynamic networks and configurations.

  ### 5. Love it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander A. | Network Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

Our team has been using this IT documentation platform for over a year, and it has quickly become one of the most valuable tools in our environment. The interface is clean, intuitive, and extremely well-organized, making it easy for both new and experienced technicians to find exactly what they need.

The flexibility in structuring documentation—whether it's SOPs, network diagrams, asset information, or knowledge base articles—has dramatically improved our workflow. Version control, rich text editing, and built-in search are all fast and reliable. We especially appreciate the role-based permissions, which allow us to securely share documentation with different teams without worrying about data exposure.

Integration with our existing tools was smooth, and the platform’s automation capabilities (such as asset syncing or configuration documentation) save us hours every week. Support has been responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable whenever we’ve had questions.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Editing configurations through the mobile app could be improved

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to maintain clean, neat configurations

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Thanks for the feedback! We’re glad Hudu’s been an everyday tool for you.

  ### 6. Customizable and Intuitive with Room for Mobile Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin W. | Systems Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I use Hudu for client password, site, and inventory management. It keeps all of my passwords in one place and tracks the history of those passwords where other services could not or do not. I like the intuitive interface and the ability to customize the interface to suit my needs instead of a 'one size fits all' model, making it stand out from other services. I also like that I can add my own asset classifications or categories in case the service does not have something that specifically fits the type of data I need to track. The cost is more agreeable, and the user interface along with the ability to create custom assets were the largest determining factors for switching from LastPass to Hudu. The initial setup was functionally complete within an hour or so.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

I'm not a huge fan of the mobile app as navigation still seems a bit clunky. I don't think its user interface is responsive enough for mobile phones.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu for client password/site/inventory management. It keeps all my passwords in one place and tracks their history where others couldn't.

  ### 7. Affordable, Efficient, but Lacks Portal Intuitiveness

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nils B. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I find Hudu's ease of use really helpful, especially for documentation management. The customization options are great, allowing me to tailor the platform to our needs. Plus, the pricing is very affordable, which is a big advantage. Hudu helps us manage the vast amount of information for our MSP clients efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

The end-user portal is lacking at best and compared to ITGlue, it is definitely not my favorite. I don't like having to manually enable every item for the end-user portal. I'd prefer a blacklist model where you pick which things you don't want shown, allowing better use where users can see more of the platform without needing to give a full license.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu for documentation management in our MSP, appreciating its ease of use and capabilities like a KB library. It's crucial for managing different client environments efficiently.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Hi Nils - thank you for the review. The external portal overhaul is definitely on our roadmap - and we still encourage you to leave specific feature requests at https://feedback.hudu.com.

  ### 8. Making Documentation Magic!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua S. | Service Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I like that Hudu continues to innovate with their platform and creates beneficial updates for IT

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

I dislike how great Hudu is! Making us IT folk enjoy IT documentation.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hudu is solving missing documentation gap and gold standards so we know how to design best practices

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Thanks for the awesome feedback! We love hearing that Hudu is making IT documentation enjoyable - that’s exactly what we aim for.

  ### 9. Unmatched Flexibility and Customization Options

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Networking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

The flexibility to add & change a lot of fields and customize the layouts to what works for us.
It's also nice to see that hudu is being actively developed and new features come out frequently.
The overall stability and speed is also very good, and since we use it daily that's good to have.
It also very easy to set up and use, with a fast responding helpdesk.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Some of the new features require some refining such as the unifi integration, this can only be used for a local controller. Since we manage a lot of external sites this would be a nice to have.

It would also be nice to be able to create magic dash items easier.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A central place to store processes per customer, documentation and assets. We also use client portal and password sharing via hudu so we can send passwords securely.

  ### 10. The Self-Hosted Documentation Suite

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corey D. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

Ease of use, great support, and continued development! Pricing is great as well.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Dislike the lack of multi-tenanted M365 integration and lack of multi-tenant Ubiquiti as well.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Proper documentation of clinet infrastructure, setups, and passwords, as well as SOPs.

  ### 11. Efficient Documentation and Client Password Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric B. | Partner, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I like that Hudu is easy to use, which is a big plus for me. I also value the ability to send passwords directly into ScreenConnect and the feature that allows for web fills for clients. The integration with other systems keeps all our documentation in one place and always up to date, which makes managing everything much simpler.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

There's a need for more consistency in creating subfolders.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu for documentation and client password management, keeping all the documentation in one place and easily updating from our systems so it's always current.

  ### 12. Highly Customizable with Robust Client Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Todd D. | Delivery Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I find Hudu quite easy to use and customize. The ability to lock down areas for new hires or for general permission blocking is great. It's super easy and convenient to add clients for viewing passwords, which helps in easily sharing important passwords without finding alternate ways.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Client access could be improved by allowing an entire folder to have 'portal access,' but I understand that's likely for security. I can't delete users, which is frustrating. I also can't impersonate my staff, so I have to assume they can access things. Organization could be better with nested folders. Expiration dates for .ca domains don't work consistently, and this has been an unresolved issue for years.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hudu helps me track device usage, passwords, and expirations, while ensuring easy and secure client access to passwords. It's customizable and simplifies permission management, so I don't worry about unauthorized access.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> We're glad to hear you find Hudu easy and intuitive to use. Your feedback is also greatly appreciated, and I encourage you to add/upvote them as feature requests on https://feedback.hudu.com. Thank you for sharing your experience!

  ### 13. Clean, Customizable, and Easy to Integrate

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathaniel K.

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I like how clean and simple Hudu is, which makes it easy to use. I also like the ability to customize any type of asset to be stored inside the system, allowing me to build a solution that works for my company. Most of the other software I've tried doesn't offer that same flexibility. The initial setup of Hudu was extremely easy, which is a big plus for me.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

The password management system works great if you're using a desktop, but we still have to use LastPass internally to be able to share passwords via mobile device. Having an app that works like LastPass would be great.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hudu allows me to store everything important in one place, making it easy to access and share with my technicians. The custom asset types enable me to build flexible solutions tailored to my company.

  ### 14. Effortless Centralization but Perfectible Research

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emeric L. | IT Technitian, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I love the simplicity of use and the ease of handling of Hudu. It's a real advantage that any technician can understand the platform from the first use and start their work with the appropriate context. The centralization of information makes data understanding simple for technicians. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy. I find it to be a very good product and I would recommend it with an 8 out of 10 to a friend or colleague.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Searching for information is sometimes problematic. Search for the same string of characters 2 or 3 times is sometimes necessary to find the desired information.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hudu centralizes information, simplifying understanding for technicians. Its ease of use allows a technician to understand the platform from the first use.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Hey Emeric! Glad to hear you're enjoying Hudu. We appreciate the feedback on our search tool - that's an area we are always looking to improve. Thanks for sharing your experience!

  ### 15. Intuitive and Affordable Asset Management Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joey W. | Systems adminsitrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I find Hudu intuitive and feature-rich, which are big pluses for me. It's also inexpensive, making it a cost-effective solution. I appreciate how it integrates with many tools and systems and works well with local AD, which is important for my setup. The initial setup was very easy, saving me time and effort.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

could have better rack management

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu for asset management, helping me track all my software, hardware, and network assets.

  ### 16. Perfect all-in-one document repository catered towards people who know IT!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

We now fully utilize the individual password managers exclusively.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Occasional problem signing in with MFA that there never seems to be a solution for.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hudu organizes our documentation. It rates and holds people responsible for incomplete or inaccurate documentation. Hudu functions as a secure password manager for our team as well. MUCH better than what we were doing. The two factor code support is one of the best parts. We had issues where we would have two factor codes on our phones and it was a paion when another tech needed to get into something for a client. Now its in Hudu! Copy and paste!

  ### 17. Centralized Management with Customizable Simplicity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Glenn L.

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I like that Hudu is very simple to use and allows me to customize different folders. I can add photographs, text, and upload documents, which I find really helpful. The capability to put in our own specialized areas and areas of work is great. Having photographs is especially useful because if another engineer hasn't been to the site, they can see exactly where all the equipment has been installed. It's got everything you need, including custom folders, so I feel it doesn't really need anything else.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

I don't like it if you keep putting more features and it gets too complicated, and then engineers don't fill it in properly.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu to keep all client passwords and IP addresses centralized for engineers. It's simple, customizable with text and photos, helping engineers see equipment locations if they haven't been onsite.

  ### 18. Excellent Documentation and Export Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex W. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

Clean documentation of our client systems, with great export capability and good clean functional sections. Global templates and layouts make it easy to standardize information and mark things as 'gold standard'

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Managing it self-hosted is a bit of work sometimes. The update process requires some regular attention. It could be easier with some kind of notification that additional action needed to be done.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hudu is taking the SharePoint/ Proprietary KB system problem and eliminating it. All data is stored in clean Markdown, and can be easily exported. Data exists cleanly between integrations as well which is a great change to other systems.

  ### 19. A well rounded document management and credential management system.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas B. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

The new Hudu Radar feature is very cool and has some promise but does need polish, its just a glorified network device scanner at this point but with some more polish it could come in very handy, along with the Network Rack feature.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

We have moved from self-hosted to Hudu hosted but i still believe a better backup method for self hosted user would be great.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed someone to store information, processes and procedures along with creditials for some clients.

  ### 20. Feature-Rich and Cost-Effective Documentation Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James E.

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I use Hudu for technical documentation, processes, domains, and app information. What I like most about Hudu is that it's easy to navigate, and it's easy to create documents and link them together. I generally find the platform to be useful with regular updates. It's integrated into our ticketing system and we have linked the Knowledge base into Microsoft Copilot, so we can query information in natural language. Hudu has more features and is easier to use compared to IT Glue.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Importing our documentation from IT Glue was not great and could have been better. I don't think there was a native migration tool.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu for technical documentation management. It's easy to navigate and create documents, linking them efficiently. It's integrated with our ticketing system and Microsoft Copilot, making access seamless.

  ### 21. Intuitive Interface and Houdini AI That Refines Documents Effortlessly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew T. | NOC Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I am a big fan of the intuitive interface and ease of navigating between clients and assets. The huidini AI has also been great for refining documents. 10/10

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

There have been some minor performance issues but other than that, nothing.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hudu is making information retrieval very easy and fast.

  ### 22. Centralized Client Management Made Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony L. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I like using Hudu for client information, including notes, passwords, and configurations. It makes my life easier by centralizing all my client data in one place. I really appreciate the ease of access and the ability to share with team members, which was a hassle before when everything was scattered and required multiple logins. The initial setup was very easy, and our assistant was able to input everything. I also feel confident recommending Hudu to others.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

I guess it would be nice if it could integrate with RepairShopr.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu to centralize all my client data in one place, making my life easier. It provides ease of access to notes, passwords, and configurations, while allowing me to easily share information with team members. Before, data was scattered and hard to access.

  ### 23. Enhanced Security and Efficiency for MSPs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim K.

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I like that Hudu is safe and secure. I appreciate that it’s accessible through an app on my phone, which adds to its convenience. I also like that I can share certain parts with third parties that might need to gain access to systems. Previously, I had to use a centralized notepad to copy and paste credentials into emails or share them on WhatsApp, but now I have a safe, encrypted way for people to access the information they need.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

I feel that having a Hudu extension in the browser would be good to inject passwords.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hudu centralizes procedures and passwords, providing one-time codes for technicians. It's safe, secure, and has a mobile app. I can share parts securely with third parties, moving from unsecured methods like email or WhatsApp to encrypted sharing.

  ### 24. All-in-One Solution for MSP Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deja P. | Customer Success Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I like how Hudu offers all of the company information and passwords in a more simplified way, so I don't have to go searching for it. I also appreciate that there's an app for when I'm in the field, allowing me to have all the information right in my hands!

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Nothing

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hudu solves the problem of consolidating KB, passwords, and assets into one app, simplifying company information access. I like that it simplifies finding information and offers an app for instant access in the field.

  ### 25. Hudu: Reliable, User-Centric, and Cost-Effective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas R. | Technical Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I really appreciate how Hudu's company listens to users and continues adding features that are requested by the community. The platform is really stable, which is crucial for us as an MSP documenting IT for our customers. The flexible assets in Hudu are also a huge plus, as they are useful for documenting a variety of customer systems. Also, the initial setup of Hudu is very easy and straightforward, especially for someone who has used other documentation platforms before.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

The API doesn't have feature parity with the UI, making some tasks impossible to automate. Some features feel half-baked, or never fully realized, like Workflows which only have one possible action right now: Add flag.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu for IT documentation, which helps with password management, knowledgebase creation, and flexible documentation of customer systems.

  ### 26. A Cost-Effective, User-Friendly Documentation Hub

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David P. | President/Owner, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I like the ease of use of Hudu, and the pricing couldn't be better, even though, of course, free would be amazing, but that's not realistic. I appreciate the convenience and the fact that we're able to use it across multiple users. Also, Hudu integrates with our PSA RMM and various other IT tools, which is one of the great things about it as it kind of integrates everywhere.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

I have a tough time sometimes with the way the search works. Also, the way the menu system is initially configured. We've put some work into customizing it ourselves.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu to keep client documentation straight and as a knowledge base for technicians. It saves us from spending more money on similar products and avoids security issues with self-management, making client data handoffs much easier.

  ### 27. Easy to Integrate, Full Features at a Competitive Price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan L.

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I really appreciate the flexibility that Hudu offers with its minimum user requirement set at one, compared to competitors who require a much higher number. This allows our team to integrate the product easily without unnecessary additional costs. The price offered by Hudu is also very attractive, providing excellent value for its features. I like that the set of features is complete, we are never left without the tools we need to accomplish our tasks. The initial installation of Hudu was super easy, which allowed our team to start using it quickly without complications. Moreover, Hudu integrates perfectly with Datto RMM and Autotask PSA, allowing us to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Nothing special

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu to automate IT documentation, securely store our clients' technical documentation in a SaaS space compliant with security standards, and I find that the cost and the minimum user requirement are very advantageous.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Hi Bryan! Thanks for the feedback, we're so glad to hear you're enjoying Hudu!

  ### 28. Effortless Security and Versatile Documentation in One Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt J. | Director of Information Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

The platform is easy to use and offers an unlimited range of documentation variables. It also serves as a more secure replacement for browser-saved passwords. Additionally, the browser plugin is very useful and even allows for screen captures. The fact that it integrates with DUO MFA to ensure safe, secure logins.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

The process area needs a little work. It's kind of clunky to setup.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we began using this software, there was no IT documentation at all. Now, I find myself working with it throughout the entire day.

  ### 29. Ease of Use with Room for Better Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luke V.

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I like the ease of use and the way Hudu makes finding information straightforward. The custom assets and the ability to link to other items, when set up correctly, make it incredibly easy to access the information I need. I also really appreciate the capability for custom fields and assets, which greatly helps with recording information. The initial setup was easy, which is always a bonus.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Integration with Syncro - would be great if it pulled a lot more information or integrated better. Use of AI could be better implemented and included in the subscription cost as a default.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu for recording all IT documentation, including passwords and configuration details. It's easy to find information with custom assets and links. Custom fields and assets greatly help with information recording.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Thank you for the review, Luke! We love hearing feedback on integrations and AI within the platform - and encourage you to leave these requests on https://feedback.hudu.com for the best visibility.

  ### 30. Effortless Password Management with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin S. | Automation Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I like Hudu for its ease of use and ease of setup, which makes it simple for our team to get started quickly and efficiently. The great dev team behind Hudu really adds to the experience, fostering engagement among our technicians, especially in terms of documentation. These aspects make Hudu extremely valuable to me.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

I think it would be cool to have 'copy' links for URLs in passwords. Also, maybe integrating with Ninja for password copying would be awesome.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu for password and asset management, solving secure password storage and organization.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Thanks for the great review! We appreciate your support.

  ### 31. Powerful, Simple, and Clean

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George H. | Chief Cat Herder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

Clean interface, easy to manage, easy to integrate

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Some of the integrations we leverage are a little bit limited in fields we can sink, but those are all the roadmap to be addressed

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unified documentation platform, everyone gets access to everything

  ### 32. Efficient Client Support with Fair Pricing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I like that Hudu has a fair price and works well. The interface is nice and the Ninja Integration works well, helping us manage assets by having everything in Ninja create an asset. The initial setup was very easy, and I find it useful for documentation and helping our techs quickly find info about our clients. I'm also likely to recommend it to others with a score of 9 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

I find the password manager extension good but not great. I wish it were faster and had better detection when inputting passwords.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hudu helps all our techs quickly find info about clients to support them effectively. The Ninja Integration lets us manage assets smoothly by creating assets in Ninja, making documentation and asset management more efficient.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Thanks for the feedback! We’re glad to hear Hudu is supporting your growth and that you appreciate the steady stream of new features. We’re always looking to expand integrations and appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

  ### 33. Essential MSP Documentation Tool with Powerful Flexibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt S. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

It is designed for the MSP industry and provides a great framework for what good documentation looks like. Being able to link items between different records is super powerful. Because we self-host the platform in Microsoft Azure, we have a fantastic BCP plan for this most critical system.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

The recent changes to search have been a step backward, and the browser plugin for password filling isn't great. We're using a different tool for this requirement now.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping all our client documentation and passwords in a fast, easy to use platform

  ### 34. Centralized Documentation Made Easy and Organized

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben A. | Senior IT Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

This tool enables us to store all our documentation in a single location, while also keeping it organized by company.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

The IP manager has room for improvement, particularly in enabling the removal of IP addresses from a range when they have already been assigned by DHCP.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform provides a central repository for our IT documentation and schemes of work, which has made it much easier to share knowledge among technicians. Having everything in one place streamlines collaboration and ensures that important information is accessible to everyone who needs it.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Hey Ben - glad you're utilizing Hudu to store and organize your information. Thanks for the feedback on our IPAM feature. I encourage you to add this as a feature request on https://feedback.hudu.com.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jake W.

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I use Hudu as a replacement for IT Boost for our internal documentation as an MSP. It helps us keep an easily maintainable knowledgebase solution, and has fantastic features that make life easier for an MSP. I really like the new process runs feature, which is a game changer. The existing integrations are great, and we integrate it with all of our other MSP tools like Unifi, Meraki, and Connectwise. I found the initial setup of Hudu extremely easy.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

The existing integrations are great, but can be a little complicated to set up. I would like to see a lot more integrations added too.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu for an easily maintainable knowledgebase solution with fantastic features, making life easier for an MSP.

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

Its autometically dials customer numbers, connects answered call to available agents, and helps manage call campaigns, reporting and productivity.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

I would suggest that UI/UX could be more user friendly.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basically it solve the problem of manual calling and catering of leads in unorganized way.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Thanks for your review! We're always looking to improve our UI/UX and encourage specific requests to be made at https://feedback.hudu.com

  ### 37. Fantastic Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan E. | Geschäftsführer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

Hudu has truly revolutionized the way our team handles documentation and knowledge management. It's incredibly user-friendly, with an intuitive interface that makes onboarding a breeze for everyone, regardless of technical expertise. The integration process was seamless and straightforward, allowing us to incorporate it into our existing workflows without any hiccups or downtime.
What stands out even more is their exceptional customer support—responses are lightning-fast, and the team is always eager to assist, going above and beyond to resolve issues or provide guidance. We've fully adopted Hudu across our entire organization, using it as a permanent fixture in our daily operations to keep everything organized and accessible.
The platform is packed with a ton of powerful features that cater to our needs, and they're constantly rolling out innovative updates that keep things fresh and exciting. Plus, their responsiveness to feature requests is impressive—they turn ideas into reality at an astonishing pace, showing a real commitment to user feedback and continuous improvement. Overall, Hudu isn't just a tool; it's a game-changer that enhances productivity and collaboration for our whole team!

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Currently nothing. Some new features we want are already in the works :)

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of documentation, getting information fast.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Thank you for the awesome review!

  ### 38. Hudu vs IT Glue

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wayne N. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

One of the most useful features is the ability to archive information: devices, passwords, and people. It provides a rich history for my clients to retrieve information from past users and devices, without cluttering up the current information. I found that many new users delete or edit the information stored, as that is what they are used to doing. But we don't have to do that in Hudu. Create the person and link everything to them. Archiving singular data points is powerful.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

The iPhone app is not as useful as the webpage interface. The first change I would implement would be making the password field visible in the app.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hud gives our team a perfect location to store and access client information and processes. We provide technical onboarding, and each client or department has a unique environment and set of tools. Hudu allows us to document that and provides a place to note the deployment dates, changes, and history. We update the processes in the knowledge base for each client, providing overall how-to-do steps for various processes.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> We appreciate the feedback on the iPhone app - it is important for us to know ways we can improve the mobile experience. Thanks for sharing!

  ### 39. Intuitive Knowledge Base with Seamless Password Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** dpetersen@symtec.com P.

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I love that Hudu is easy to use and navigate. The GUI is intuitive, and I love that we can make KB articles with dropdown features and more. Password management is huge for us, and it integrates well with Quickpass. Hudu allows us to make high-quality articles that detail step-by-step processes or issues, which is crucial as we work on making our processes repeatable. It also allows us to securely store our clients' passwords with password rotation via Quickpass integration, ensuring that our access to their environment is secure.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Nothing!

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Hudu as a KB for our clients, resolving recurring issues faster. It helps create repeatable processes with step-by-step articles and securely stores client passwords with Quickpass integration.

  ### 40. Affordable, Flexible Cloud Solution That Stands Out

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bill M. | Chief Simplifier, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

We like that Hudu offers a cloud-based solution to be more affordable and flexible in it's setup and configuration that its competitors in the same space.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

We'd like to see vendors that support integration with Hudu be more flexible and offer more options from inside their products to access information in Hudu. Not all PSA and RMM offer this flexibility.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The business problems it solves most for us is centralized documentation for both our company and our clients.

  ### 41. Effortless IT Management with Stellar Customization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad M.

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I really like Hudu for its ease of use and its ability to incorporate OTP tokens within passwords. It's great how items relate to each other, and the customization options are quite useful. Hudu allows us to use MFA securely and share it across team members, which is really important. The initial setup was extremely easy, too, and I found it straightforward to customize and set up assets the way I want.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Hudu has made progress on granular permissions, but more work could be done on individual item control.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu for a centralized database accessible to techs, sharing passwords and OTPs securely, and maintaining MFA while sharing across the team.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Thanks for the feedback! We encourage you to leave any feature requests at feedback.hudu.com and join the Community to stay up to date on our release notes.

  ### 42. Relative new documentation software with great development progress

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wesley K. | Founder and IT Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

Hudu is in the basis a great solution for our customer documentation. It has lots of features, if there are any features missing we can request them and with little platform from other users it already will be developed and release in times I've never seen before.

This is the first application that I've come around that develops in this kind of fast phase.

After that is the modularity, we can set Hudu to our hand and blueprint.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

We see it's a relative new application, so some forehand features are missing (patch panel documentation for ex), but at the same time they are really pushing to get this released.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Hudu we have an streamlined standard of documenting our complete IT infrastructures for our customers. We have golden standards, default and custom categories with templates for what information needs to be entered.

We monitor certificates, websites and domains. And have a place to store expiration dates for (customer) licenses, certificates etc

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Thanks for the feedback! We’re always innovating and appreciate your patience as we continue to add new features.

  ### 43. Much better than ITG with better API access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jared B. | Chief Automation Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

We build a lot of automation. Other platforms have significantly affected our automation capabilities with API restrictions or a general lack of functionality. While Hudu isn't perfect from an API stance, it is significantly better than the competition. This is one of the primary reasons I chose to implement Hudu over other platforms.

Hudu features many integrations with various other MSP tools and creates a simple to use solution for MSPs.

While I haven't had the need to open more than 1 support ticket, the request was resolved on the first attempt within about an hour of submission. This blows away the support response from other vendors in this space.

Combining the integrations with the available features of the API, we've been able to increase usage of the platform by building our own unique automations to keep documentation current for our partners. This makes Hudu the place for our resources to find what they need quickly and efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

I really wish Portal Users could have more than read-only access. This made us add additional tools to our stack to accommodate things like shared roadmaps with our clients as we couldn't maintain these in Hudu with edit rights for clients without significant additional licensing costs.

To make this work, I'd need to setup portal users as technician users. This would increase my licensing cost by almost 500%

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Hudu to document everything about our clients, the solutions we implement, and notes about the health of client relationships.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Thanks for the feedback. We are exploring ways to make the customer portal more useful for end users.

  ### 44. Hudu is awesome

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric L. | IT Support and Project Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I like how you can pin your favorites to the right for quick access to your most common passwords that you use.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

You often have to upload a pdf file and it won't let you upload a different format.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy access to kb articles, landing page for each client so you can see how their network ios broken down.

  ### 45. Moved from ITGlue and have never looked back

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric H. | Vice-president, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

Hudu is our "bible"; everything we do has an SOP in Hudu. The revision controls are excellent; I can look back and see who made what change. It also integrates with all our vendor tools, making it relatively straightforward to pull PC data from CW. We had the tool up and running in under a week, with all our data pulled from our PSA and RMM tools. My team is in this tool every day. The knowledge base on the support portal has been helpful if we have any questions

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Not much to dislike about Hudu. If I had to pick something, the mobile app is a little odd and sometimes hard to find information because the layout is not like the web

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Need a place the was the goto for our client docs. Like ISP info, After hour contacts. This hit everything point we needed it to hit

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Thanks for sharing your experience - we appreciate you being part of the Hudu community!

  ### 46. We were lost without Hudu

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack K. | Director of Technical Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

Hudu gives us what we need to resolve tickets quickly. Everything’s in one place—credentials, assets, documentation—so we’re not jumping between tools or tabs. It’s made a noticeable difference in how fast and effectively we can handle support.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

When we link items together, the relationship doesn’t always show up right away on the other end, which can be confusing. It works eventually, but it feels clunky in the moment.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hudu helps us keep secrets secure and easy to share with clients when needed, without resorting to messy workarounds. It also lets us document what actually happened during a job—not just what we planned—so we have a clear record to look back on.

Project closeouts are a lot smoother now too. We can drop everything the client needs right into their portal, so they’re not chasing us for info after the fact. It’s cleaner, more professional, and saves everyone time.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Thanks for the feedback! We’re always looking to improve the user experience and appreciate you letting us know where things can feel a bit clunky.

  ### 47. Essential product for managing information as an MSP

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martyn S. | IT and telecommunications technical specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

Having trialled both Hudu and ITGlue we found Hudu to be far better value whilst having more features that integrate with the tools we already use within the business. Also like the fact that self hosting is an option.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

Can't think of anything at the moment, support has always been good when we have reached out .

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It documentation and standardisation of that documentation accross our client base.

  ### 48. User-Friendly but Needs Mobile Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeffrey A.

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I like the user-friendly interface and customizability of Hudu. It's great to have related items in different categories that can be easily linked. Also, I appreciate the modern interface which made us switch from ConnectWise Configurations. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

I find it annoying that Hudu uses a web browser to sign in instead of staying on the app, especially as I have to keep doing that and MFA. The app is pretty unusable; the mobile app interface is very hard to navigate. Maybe changing to one more similar to Microsoft Outlook would be easier to use.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hudu for organizing client information and MFA password keeping.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Hi Jeffrey. Thanks for the review - glad to hear you're enjoying Hudu's customizability and UI. I encourage you to leave these feature requests on https://feedback.hudu.com for visibility.

  ### 49. Comprehensive IT documentation system with room for improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin Maximilian P. | IT-Systemengineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I appreciate that I can use Hudu from anywhere. I particularly often and gladly use the password manager.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

The authorization management and the integration of diagrams, as well as the overall layout of the website, is sometimes a bit.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Hudu, we have a central documentation system that is accessible and allows us to organize our data in individual layouts that we need for our work.

**Official Response from Natalie Isbell:**

> Thanks for the feedback! We encourage you to leave any feedback or requests at https://feedback.hudu.com

  ### 50. Centralized Knowledge with Responsive Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam C. | Information Technology Systems Manager

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Hudu?**

I find that the development team is very responsive, which I really appreciate. The open source DIY ethos is appealing to me as well, mostly because you have the option to either pay for the cloud version or self-host. That flexibility is really great.

**What do you dislike about Hudu?**

In the self-hosted version, there's limited support for VPS providers. I wish they would support more than just DigitalOcean and AWS. Also, I'd love to see full integrations with other tools like Snipe or NetBox, as Hudu doesn't do some things quite as well as native inventory or network diagnostic tools.

**What problems is Hudu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hudu helps us organize and centralize knowledge bases, secret storage, and documentation.
