Hudson Technology Systems extends a bank's existing treasury platform to serve clients whose money movement has conditions attached — property managers, municipalities, HOAs, 1031 exchanges, title companies, law firms. Funds sit in fully routable sub-accounts, and money moves only when the defined conditions are met. Community and regional banks are regularly asked to hold and administer money that belongs to someone else, and almost none of it moves on a simple instruction. A release waits on a signed document, a construction milestone, a second approval, a statutory deadline. Traditionally banks handled those conditions by hand — a master account sub-ledgered in spreadsheets, obligations tracked manually, approvals chased over email, reconciliation after the fact. It's slow, error-prone, and difficult to audit, so most banks either staff up to absorb it or turn the business away. Hudson doesn't replace what a bank already runs; it extends it. A single master account supports unlimited sub-accounts, opened in minutes without core involvement, each with its own account number and each fully transacting: ACH, wire, instant payments, and checks originate and settle directly at the sub-account level, with no sweep requirement and no round trip through the master. The conditions governing each account come from the underlying agreement — Hudson captures the milestones, triggers, and disbursement terms, and a rules engine and approval gates hold the payment until they're satisfied. The bank originates every transaction, and the deposits stay on its balance sheet. The platform is templated, so a new vertical is configured rather than built from scratch. Operations teams work from one dashboard, while white-labeled portals give each counterparty their own slice under the bank's brand. And because these balances sit at the bank for operational reasons rather than rate, they behave as low-beta deposits with high switching costs.
