"HubSpot CMS loaded with features, developer and author friendly"

What do you like best about HubSpot Content Hub?

I've used other CMS platforms, most lately Adobe Experience Manager. The page authoring and developer tools on HubSpot are superior. Authoring is intuitive, the system is easy to use for non-technical content creators. HubSpot templates and pages are more accessible for developers than any CMS I've used. HubSpot templates can be created or changed via drag-and-drop or straight code. The template marketplace has a rich selection, and templates are easy to adapt for our own brand standards. Emails, social media, landing pages also are easy to create and manage. HubSpot makes it easy to search for images and page names in a complex directory. With a little knowledge and practice, anyone with basic front-end web development skills can customize pages and templates. Web forms and call-to-action buttons are easy to deploy and have analytics built in. HubDB tables enable you to create database-driven content that is easy to maintain. Building global snippets and modules enables you to deploy across many site pages, and maintain it in a single instance. With help from a HubSpot certified partner, you can create a contemporary, well-designed website that is easy to maintain.

What do you dislike about HubSpot Content Hub?

HubSpot's build-in analytics are pretty basic. We use Google Analytics for serious analysis of site traffic. Video capabilities need to be added. They have an free integration with Vidyard that is just a teaser to buy a more expensive full integration. Their HubSpot Academy video training is very good, but customer help resources are disorganized and hard to find.

What problems is HubSpot Content Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

My organization uses HubSpot for its corporate web presence, blogs, social media accounts, landing pages and email distributions. This is more of a marketing automation platform than a standard CMS. A customer relationship management system is the nerve center of the platform. Subscription cost is based on number of contacts in the CRM. We use the platform for lead acquisition through email campaigns, landing pages and web forms. We have yet to take advantage of work flows, personalization and online chat for customer service.

"HubSpot is a great product suite with incredible customer support."

What do you like best about HubSpot Content Hub?

Simplicity of use. Creating, managing and editing pages withing the HubSpot platform is very simple. Their tool set is very intuitive for every skill set, beginner to expert.

What do you dislike about HubSpot Content Hub?

A few features I'd love to see HubSpot have that they currently don't. One would be a customer portal. Two would be the ability to build out an intranet page. Only other issue I experience is within chrome a contact or company record page will not fully populate.

What problems is HubSpot Content Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

Removing friction for our clients. The ability to know what they are looking at, experiencing and being able to put them at the forefront of our mind. Helps with our website for the simple fact the CMS platform is simple to use and we no longer need an agency to maintain our site.

"Best CMS for B2B lead generation sites."

What do you like best about HubSpot Marketing Hub?

I'm a web designer and I just love building on the platform. For the types of sites we build it's just the option out there. Everything you need to start generating and reporting on lead gen is in place from the start and if you want to further customize content types or add additional features to your site the updated version of their Design Manager is a pleasure. It's also a really great tool for us to use internally. I think my time supporting our internal marketing team for site maintenance is like 20% what it was when we were using WordPress. So yeah it's great for both our needs and for our customers needs.

What do you dislike about HubSpot Marketing Hub?

It's pretty expensive... But honestly if you're actively using it and making it a core part of your marketing and sales strategy its a great investment. Beyond that I just want them to make it a little easier to leverage smart content within custom developed modules ;) But this is a pretty small concern in the scheme of things. Aside from that I wish they offered more advanced training for developers building on their CMS but in general training for the product as a whole is really solid.

Recommendations to others considering HubSpot Marketing Hub:

The UI is just nicer to use... If you're going to be spending your days in a marketing automation platform you might as well do so in one that is enjoyable.

What problems is HubSpot Marketing Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's giving my end users a clean easy to use interface to manage their websites. We're also setting things up with leveraging fluid areas in our templates where end users can simply drag and drop custom modules that we design to give users unprecedented flexibility within an enterprise-grade CMS.

"Easy and developer friendly platform."

What do you like best about HubSpot Content Hub?

What I love of using HubSpot is that you can easily launch landing pages and blog within minutes, customizing, adding style and animation is really easy, also you can reuse the styles. The community is really helpful, they answer your questions in a short amount of time. I like the way HubSpot manages the assets of the webpages to improve performance.

What do you dislike about HubSpot Content Hub?

I struggled with the page caching the content (stylesheet), so I had to flush the DNS, everytime I change the stylesheet. I had to add a naive piece of code to avoid this bahavior.

What problems is HubSpot Content Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

Wit HubSpot we can have a fully featured CMS, with marketing tools included, managing the content is so easy. We can move from one implementation or design to another without hassle.

"It saves money, time and headaches. Social Media tool could be improved "

What do you like best about HubSpot Content Hub?

Extremely high-quality technical support reachable 24/7 by chat, phone, e-mail or call me back function (they really do call you back within 5 minutes). There is also a very active community of users, organising meet-ups in my city (Eindhoven, a middle size city in The Netherlands) but also more significant events and of course the users' forum. When using HubSpot, you are not alone!

Their video training portal and KB (HubSpot Academy) are also very well done, an endless resource of training, not only about their solution but also about marketing in general. As we all know, the tool is essential, but it's how you and your colleagues are using it that matters.

On top of that, I can easily track the progress of my team in their training and certification. Also, for new recruits, I can quickly check if a certification claimed on a CV is valid.

The tool itself is actually more a set of tools. The strength are the CMS (so easy to use, I really do have full control on my website and the optimization cycle is super short thanks to reporting and the ease of collecting the data that matters) the tracking (with ease to respect GDPR) and the automation (so many possibilities there, one of the most powerful I have seen so far)

What do you dislike about HubSpot Content Hub?

The social media management tool is great if you have nothing so far, especially that it allows you to track social media post. Independently of the tool, you have used to post them (the other tool like Hootsuite, or on the platform itself) but it does not include a social media listening tool. You can track who is mentioning you, but you cannot follow your customers, prospects or competitors there, so you will probably want to use Hootsuite or Sproutsocial for that.

Recommendations to others considering HubSpot Content Hub:

Use their CMS; it will make your life easy.

Use it to replace MailChimp and Instapage, the integrations are working correctly, but it's pointless, the mail and landing pages features of HubSpot are perfect

Do the certification it will save you a lot of time, and you will use the tool better because it's not only about the tool but more about how you use it

What problems is HubSpot Content Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

The first thing that I fixed is the user experience of my website, it's now fully responsive, and all I purchased is a template. (I saved around 40k on web design, development and hosting )

The sales team has much more visibility on their leads, no VPN needed, all can be seen and updated from their smartphone. It's much easier for them, also for reporting, we have more insight and more meaningful reports.

I'm now working on the qualification of my leads; I'm in the process of building workflows to allow much deeper qualification of the leads before we talk to them, thanks to lead nurturing and progressive profiling. The sales team will soon be able to spend much more time selling instead of qualifying. This will give us multiplied sales force capacity without additional headcount. I'll update my review when it is done.

"Very good product with emphasis on usability by all"

What do you like best about HubSpot Content Hub?

HubSpot does a great job of balancing ease of use and customization and features. This makes it very easy for everyone on our team to use the software regardless of their technical background.

What do you dislike about HubSpot Content Hub?

Because HubSpot caters to the users with minimum technical experience, the software can leave you wanting more in the customization department. I have often found myself wanting to do what I thought were basic tasks that are simply not currently present in the software.

What problems is HubSpot Content Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

With HubSpot, we are now generating more leads than ever. For the first time, we were able to create a website that users found beneficial and it is showing. We have increased our lead generation over our last website on an in house CMS by over 300%

"Robust, could go even further"

What do you like best about HubSpot Content Hub?

Hubspot CMS, the website creation platform.

What do you dislike about HubSpot Content Hub?

The Social tool within Hubspot is not very robust. The file size limit of 4MB is too low, the lack of support for GIFS is a big issue as well. The Instagram posting has no feature to tag accounts in the image uploaded.

Recommendations to others considering HubSpot Content Hub:

Be sure of your goals, educate yourself on the system, understand inbound marketing.

What problems is HubSpot Content Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

I found the Hubspot CMS very efficient and it's power was unlocked with a very good theme. Hubspot provided a way to leverage inbound marketing and CRM built into the website without the tracking codes and missed data points. i was able to build a new website and create workflows, content calendars and forms that contributed to our effort.

"Focus on marketing instead of the technology"

What do you like best about HubSpot Content Hub?

Instead of spending time designing and building web pages, the templating nature of HubSpot combined with the backend tracking tools allows me to focus on strategic campaigns to help drive sales.

What do you dislike about HubSpot Content Hub?

I think this is the nature of any kind of CMS, but the CSS design of the basic layout and grid doesn't allow easy integration of CSS frameworks like Bootstrap. This makes development a little slower - but the tradeoff is that once a template is designed, it can easily be used over and over again.

Recommendations to others considering HubSpot Content Hub:

HubSpot as a tool is valuable from a convenience standpoint. And that convenience of having all the tools together makes a lot of things possible that would otherwise be very difficult. However, because of the broad nature of the tools, it's not just a system that a marketing department alone will just use. You have to get sales and even customer service involved to be effective.

What problems is HubSpot Content Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest benefit is to know what individual contacts are doing when they visit our site. It helps us customize the marketing content we send their way so that they only get what they are interested in, which makes it a better experience not only for them but for us.

"Everything I Need, All Rolled Into a Single, Extremely Easy to Use Platform"

What do you like best about HubSpot Content Hub?

I've used Microsoft's and Adobe's CMS platforms over the years, combined with other tools (Constant Contact, Falcon, etc.). HubSpot blows them all away in simplicity. The integration between all the components makes everything work seamlessly. Gone are the days of pulling email addresses from one system and then uploading them into another. From a usability and performance standpoint, the CMS platform is so fast, it's almost like using a desktop app.

What do you dislike about HubSpot Content Hub?

It's starting to get to be a bit pricey. The required on-boarding had to be done within a certain time frame that was to Hubspot's convenience, not mine.

What problems is HubSpot Content Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

Generating and tracking leads. Having better visibility into what a user is viewing and what actions they are taking (or not). This allows us to focus on creating messages vs. spending time manually compiling analytics from different sources.
