Slow, clunky UI, slow, useful features being removed, very slow **Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Justin S. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2022 **What do you like best about Hubdoc?** There really aren't any at this point - it used to be good for storing receipts and integrating with Xero and for retrieving bank statements, but now it doesn't do anything particularly well. **What do you dislike about Hubdoc?** The developers have pretty much abandoned this since Xero bought the company. It gets slower every time I use it. The UI hasn't been updated in years and is quite clunky. **What problems is Hubdoc solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's not really solving any problems anymore. We've had to find better softwares for storing receipts, and have to get logins to all clients' banks to get statements each month. ### 2. Bad support and customer service, functionality not as advertised **Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2021 **What do you like best about Hubdoc?** Synchronization to QBO and multiple other solutions **What do you dislike about Hubdoc?** Payment account methods did not allow selecting anything but cash, credit card, check, etc. I reached out to customer support asking why I couldn't pick a loan liability account on my CoA to book the expense to (other expense management platforms allow this and I could have sworn I was previously able to do this in Hubdoc). They said this functionality wasn't there. It took 4 weeks to get this answer. I had signed up 3 of my businesses on this software in the days/weeks before running into this issue. When they gave me this answer a month later, I had paid for subscription for three different entities probably twice? I asked for refunds and they said they could refund the entity which I filed the support issue through, but not the others, so about $48 unrefundable. That's fine with me. I'll leave a review and move on. It's small dollars. Bottom line is support took 4 weeks and customer service was poor. **Recommendations to others considering Hubdoc:** Receiptbank/Dext, but even they don't honestly convey what features you get at different price levels. Not many other options.
