It is really to use and not complex at all. The navigation is intuitive and there is nothing complex. Unfortunately I didn't use a competitor so I don't have the possibility to compare it with another solution **What do you dislike about Apicbase?** It's not something I don't like but it's something that doesn't exist (or still does). As an employee of a hotel with a restaurant area. I would dream of having a system that allows us to scan all the products we receive so that the matching between the order and the delivery note is done automatically. During this scanning operation, I would like the DLCs to be loaded into our payment system. So when the products arrive at the near expiration date. We could be alerted to products that will no longer be good for sale. So we can push sales through promotions to optimize our sales and reduce our losses. I realize that these features may take time, but I will be happy to have this process in place. **What problems is Apicbase solving and how is that benefiting you?** Apicbase saves us a lot of time in our tasks. The centralization of orders and reception is a huge time saver. This is really for me the main strength of the tool. It would be difficult to do without it now. ### 4. However sometimes you get used to the layout of the website and suddenly it changed again, sometimes unnecessarily from my point of view. The tool is very user-friendly and intuitive to work with, which makes onboarding a large number of users fairly easy. Configuration of the system is relatively straightforward after a bit of training and practice, after which it can easily be managed internally. The support team of Apicbase is great - they are very proactive in thinking along about operational challenges and how the tool can support in solving these. Apicbase is continuously improving their tool based on customer feedback, which results in ever-growing value of the software for the customer. **What do you dislike about Apicbase?** Data config & maintenance is essential for the tool to generate valuable business insights and this is quite labor-intensive for large F&B operations. If the data is not maintained properly from the start, it becomes a challenge to 'clean up' the data after scaling. It is essential to safeguard user training and knowledgefrom the start to prevent this. Apicbase holds a lot of interesting data that can be used to generate valuable insights. Data dashboards are a relatively new feature in the tool that can be enhanced further to make valuable insights more readily available for the user, at the moment these are not very customizable yet and it requires some analytical skills and solid understanding of the tool to properly read the dashboards. I like how it calculates recipe cost, brings allergens and nutrition data through the ingredients to completed product. **What do you dislike about Apicbase?** The 'official EU food label' needs to be updated. There needs to be a 'use by' option for the food expiry. There needs to be an option to print 'keep refrigerated' and to save the business name and address so these things don't need to be typed into every different label printed. For incoming orders, there needs to be a concise exportable / printable overview showing the amounts of every recipe ordered by each outlet in grid form for any given day. I would like to print a single page for the kitchen staff with all these numbers visible. We had this function on the 'kitchen cut' software and it suited our kitchen. **What problems is Apicbase solving and how is that benefiting you?** Apic base is giving us good costing data and allowing us to track sales and waste at individual locations. Apic is quite intuitive, easy to access remotely and very often reveals additional functionality when I go looking to see if it can do something I haven't yet used it for. The customer service and support is great. **What do you dislike about Apicbase?** I think there is scope for some added functionality around traceability which would allow the software to be better used in manufacturing and production settings. It would be clearer if, when recipes are scaled up, gram quantities converted to kg. There are other minor things but I have found the team really responsive to suggestions for improvements and I have seen amendments made to the system as a result of interactions I have had. **Recommendations to others considering Apicbase:** It is flexible enough to meet almost all of our needs, represents good value and adds value to many of our business functions. **What problems is Apicbase solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allergen reporting is simplified. With the use of custom fields, it is very easy to tailor Apicbase to one's individual needs. The insights, dashboards, and analyses are absolutely essential when optimizing profit margins, understanding revenue, and scaling concepts. And Apicbase offers great and speedy customer service! For companies which have a high level of automatization as well as their suppliers, the program offers huge potential in saving on costs and time by gaining much more insight. The team from Apicbase is very driven to get the best out of the system for their clients and are constantly looking for improvements. **What do you dislike about Apicbase?** We work with local suppliers which aren't always able (or willing) to connect to the Apicbase platform. Connecting them to the platform is fundamental to the success for a small but rapidly scaling operation like ours or else it will require to much patching and workarounds to have this resolved. So both on the suppliers end as well as with Apicbase being able to connect suppliers to the platform more easy is crucial for the future. **What problems is Apicbase solving and how is that benefiting you?** As not all of our suppliers were willing or able to (easily) connect to the platform, we weren't able to utilize it to a level where it would benefit us. It enables us to track the flow of our goods all the way from procurement to sale. Besides keeping complete track of our inventory, Apicbase provides us with great insights into how our cost of goods sold develops. As the inflationary environment forces us to be very keen on the cost of our goods versus our pricing point, Apicbase provides all the features to maintain a profitable business. Besides having the software solution to manage your inventory, Apicbase are experts in handling their customers and always seek to return your inquiries with a solution. **What do you dislike about Apicbase?** The only thing we have been missing is a bit more flexible integration setup with our POS provider. Having a build your own product (as we do), a combination of more than a million different products can be sold.
