The fact that its not a real engagement is honestly amazing for the learning process as at times the time-limited aspect and stress limits how fast/how much you can learn. Either way i love HTB and i hold a VIP membership and silver academy lisence despite having access to enterprise. The reason i still have an academy lisence is that for a while the progress wasnt shared and i didnt want to start again from scratch. **What do you dislike about HTB Enterprise Platform?** This is specific to the enterprise platform, but, its the fact that prolabs cannot be reset by the players, you must contact the admin of the HTB subscription (at least in our instance we have to). This can be a bit of a pain when someone has come before you, taken an unintended path which breaks the previous portions of the box (i gave up on zephyr because of this as someone had apparently destroyed the intended paths by accident). **What problems is HTB Enterprise Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows me to build confidence in my understanding of the various techinques and tools ive read about. It is very hands on, as every time you learn a new concept, you get to practice using that concept to accomplish something in a simulated environment. It also requires a level of "figuring it out" using your own resources, rather than spoon-feeding the solution to you. Because of these things, HTB Academy simultaneously teaches you cybersecurity concepts, how to actually use them and turn them into skills, and the soft skills that are implicity required in this line of work such as autodidacticism. When HTB Academy is used in conjunction with HTB Labs (where you can find labs that are relevant to a concept you just learned), it further helps you to apply new knowledge to your skillbase and your work. The websites for these platforms are also top notch and function great, with active and easy-to-reach customer service support and a real GPT chat bot that is helpful. **What do you dislike about HTB Enterprise Platform?** For the same reason I love HackTheBox, it also can have its downsides. Since the challenges require some "figuring it out," for beginners it can be a harsh learning curve characterized by lots of time to progress with little reward. It can sometimes feel like I could learn some skills faster if I was not floundering around wondering about the next step. I will say this floundering often times does result in some extra learning of relevant topics, but often it does not and feels like I could have learned as much but quicker had I had a little more guidance. **What problems is HTB Enterprise Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** HackTheBox has taught me many things that my university has not. HTB has such a number of modules that everyone will find something for themselves at any given time. The best thing is probably the fact that there is a lot of knowledge in one place, which is also in each module ended with practical labs that consolidate our knowledge. **What do you dislike about HTB Enterprise Platform?** I don't like too much that HTB is divided into 3 different applications i.e. Academy, Labs, Enterprise. I kind of miss the fact that it's all not in one place and it doesn't all come together in terms of progression gained. It also happens that some of the practical tasks in the academy, which are at the end of the modules, are created in such a way that in order to go through the whole thing you may not fully know what to do because it is not integral to the information that is in the module. HTB solves problems through acquired knowledge. The knowledge gained at HTB comes in handy in day-to-day work but also gives a world view on given topics while learning. Not everything can be memorized but more can be understood through it. Besides the normal boxes, I personally especially prefer the Prolabs. **What do you dislike about HTB Enterprise Platform?** Some boxes are tedious because they e.g. rely on vulnerabilities that only the box creator has found by him/herself but aren't widely known.
