## Hoxhunt Reviews
  ### 1. Engaging, User-Friendly Training That Makes Spotting Scams Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like how easy Hoxhunt is to engage with and navigate. As a competitive person, I enjoy that after every successfully reported email (for example), you earn stars that keep accumulating and lead to badges. When I report an email, I also like how Hoxhunt breaks down the most important signs of a scam and makes me more aware of what to look out for. The ease of using Hoxhunt is a bonus!

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

It is very user friendly and informs me of how to navigate the scams that could be sent over, so I do not believe Hoxhunt has any downsides!

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working for a large business that is recognisable leaves us open for manipulation, so you have to be extra careful in reviewing data/emails. Hoxhunt not only teaches you what to look for, but makes you feel confident in how to spot the signs and submit them. Hoxhunt benefits me not only in my work life, but also personal as I can successfully report scam emails that I receive personally.

  ### 2. Engaging Security Training with Realistic Scenarios

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph Carlo O. | Product Support Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like how Hoxhunt makes test emails look like actual emails, which really convinces us to be cautious about clicking on certain links. It mimics real threats, like when a sender pretends to be from HR or demands urgent action like updating billing info to avoid payment delays. I also appreciate the gamification aspect in Hoxhunt, where it tracks user progression, unlocks levels, and shows how you fare with others in the company. The initial setup was super easy, and the UI along with everything else is very intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I mostly use Hoxhunt when accessing emails via mobile device. I don't see the report to Hoxhunt button when accessing Gmail using a web browser so that's something we might want to look into.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt identifies possible phishing emails and malicious links, enhancing security training. Its realistic test emails and gamification increase engagement and mimic real threats, improving our preparedness.

  ### 3. Fun, Rewarding Way to Build Phishing Awareness with Hoxhunt

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

The company I work for uses Hoxhunt as a primary tool to build awareness around digital security, especially when it comes to email. I’d say Hoxhunt has helped me better understand how phishing emails are crafted, and just how convincing they can be if you’re not paying close attention to the details. It also makes learning more fun and engaging overall; it’s easy to use and feels genuinely rewarding.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I don’t like the competition aspect of Hoxhunt. It feels like they use a ranking system to incentivize people to do their best, and that might work for the people at the top. But for those at the bottom, it can be frustrating, because they know they’ll never reach the top positions. This is especially true for field employees who don’t check their email as frequently as office-based employees.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt has helped me improve my awareness of phishing emails and given me more knowledge about how I can protect both myself and my company from this threat.

  ### 4. Thoughtfully Designed, Engaging, and Effective Email Security Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francesca M. | Coordonnatrice de projet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

The program is thoughtfully designed. Its user interface is easy to navigate and visually appealing. The training sections are effective without being repetitive. The simulated malicious emails are well crafted and relevant to real-world scenarios. This program encourages greater awareness when checking emails and helps develop the habit of double-checking for suspicious signs.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

In my view, the timing associated with malicious emails doesn't seem very logical. If an email simply goes unread or no action is taken on it for some time, I don't think it should be classified as missed.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The training is definitely providing me with examples of malicious emails that I wasn't previously aware of or had never encountered in real life. It helps me stay informed about how threats are evolving and equips me with the tools I need to avoid falling for them.

  ### 5. Engaging and Effective, Yet Needs Email Context Sensitivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krista L.

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I love that Hoxhunt is very realistic and that it has trained me to be more cautious about emails that I receive. I also like the game feature it has, like the leaderboard where you can compete against coworkers, other schools, and companies. It's pretty motivating! The initial setup was super easy; I think I just clicked a link or something. I would definitely give it a 10 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

My coworker mentioned an issue where receiving a fake email from our principal on a weekend seemed really casual and a bit inappropriate. It made her think poorly of him initially, wondering why he contacted her over the weekend or why he spoke so informally given their relationship. She thought that was definitely crossing a line, and that the "phishing" shouldn't shouldn't cause one to have negative feelings about one's coworkers or bosses, even if it's fake.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt doesn't necessarily solve problems but helps me avoid becoming a victim of scams. I love that it's very realistic and has trained me to be more cautious about emails.

  ### 6. Quick and Efficient Phishing Detection Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lorinda B.

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like that Hoxhunt is very quick and efficient. It lets me know immediately whether I was correct about an email being phishing or spam, which reaffirms my decisions. It's also right there on my app and screen, so I can easily report suspicious emails at any moment I need to. It's incredibly easy to use, especially with its seamless integration into my Outlook.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

The ones that I miss, I would like to have a little bit more information on about why I miss them. So some of them get very well written. I want them to be more in detailed exactly about what was missed so I can start utilizing that information and really scanning more closely and completely the emails that come in.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt to report phishing or suspicious emails, which helps me identify if they're threats. It sharpens my skills, making me more observant and quickly confirms if I correctly identified emails. This boosts my awareness and ensures I notice credible threats.

  ### 7. Essential Tool for Email Security and Spam Control

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adit U.

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I find Hoxhunt really useful because it's very easy to report spam emails or any kind of potentially dangerous communication, which makes things much safer for me and my organization. It helps us stay safe from unwanted emails, like spam or clickbait, and provides valuable lessons on how to recognize and respond to such emails. The tool has simplified the process so much that by just clicking a button, I can know if an email is trustworthy or not. Additionally, the fact that Hoxhunt blocks communication from potential phishing or spam channels makes it very valuable and provides a safety net over us. I believe the ease of setup is another advantage, and overall, it definitely protects my organization.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Sometimes there are emails which Hoxhunt can't detect as phishing or spam, so we have to manually mark them. It would be great if Hoxhunt could update its database with these kinds of emails or scenarios, so it can automatically detect them before the user does and block them.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt to report spam and phishing emails for safety and security. It helps my organization stay safe from unwanted emails, offers lessons on handling emails, and provides an easy reporting process. It protects my organization by blocking spam and phishing emails.

  ### 8. Effortless, Engaging Training That Fits Seamlessly Into the Workday

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam M. | Account executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Hoxhunt is extremely easy to use and does a great job of training users without feeling overwhelming. The simulated phishing emails are realistic and actually help build good habits. I like that it teaches you why something is suspicious instead of just telling you that you failed. The platform runs quietly in the background and only takes a few seconds to complete each task, so it fits naturally into the workday. The reporting button is simple, fast, and reliable, and the points system keeps the training engaging.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Some of the simulations tend to feel repetitive, and at times the emails are so obvious that they lose their usefulness. I also find myself wishing that the feedback provided after reporting was more detailed, as this would help users better understand the red flags. Aside from these points, the system functions smoothly and does not disrupt my workflow.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt helps our organization stay ahead of phishing attempts by training users to recognize and report suspicious emails instantly. It solves the problem of inconsistent security awareness by giving everyone the same hands-on practice in real-world scenarios. The platform makes it easy to develop better instincts, reduces the chances of someone clicking something dangerous, and improves overall security habits across the team. It also keeps the training quick and low-effort, which means people actually use it.

  ### 9. Engaging Security Training with Fun Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher K. | Senior Vice President, Strategic Media Initiatives @ Plowshare

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like that Hoxhunt gamifies the process of reporting phishing scams and bad emails, making it kind of fun. It also tracks all your reports, which I find cool. The interface makes it super easy to report scams and bad emails quickly. I also enjoy the simulation interface because it lets you see your score and compare it with others in your organization, whether they are in the US or around the world. The initial setup of Hoxhunt was super easy, and I haven't run into any issues so far. Overall, it's a pretty great system.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Nothing... yet

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt ensures security by preventing the bad guys from stealing information or money. I like how it gamifies phishing scam reporting, making it fun and easy while tracking reports. The simulation interface is engaging, showing scores across the organization.

  ### 10. Fun and Effective Phishing Simulation with User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eke A. | Lead Design Engineer and Standards

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I use Hoxhunt for phishing simulation and as a learning material to stay updated on phishing tactics. It's simple and has a user-friendly interface. I love the scoreboard that shows my performance in threat identification compared to my colleagues. It makes it fun to use and helps gauge the level of responsiveness of my colleagues to the phishing simulation. The initial setup was easy, as it just appeared on my Outlook ribbon.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I wish there was a reward system that lets you earn gift cards for e-learning platforms like Udemy and Coursera. That would definitely make the experience more rewarding and engaging.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt for phishing simulations and learning about phishing patterns. It helps me and my colleagues spot hacker patterns and understand how to secure information.

  ### 11. Essential Email Security with User-Friendly Interface

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like the ease of use of the Hoxhunt platform. I appreciate how every time they send what could be a potential threat, it helps me know whether or not to report something, whether it's a test or a real threat. I also like how the Hoxhunt platform is set up for our company, keeping up with our progress on identifying different potential threats. The initial setup was very easy, the instructions were simple to follow, and the website is very user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Nothing comes to mind.

I use Hoxhunt to educate us and keep us safe from email threats like phishing, malware, and hacking. It updates us on different threats, safeguarding our security and client information.

  ### 12. Effortless Phishing Training with Hoxhunt

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mckaylee S.

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I love how easy Hoxhunt is to use and integrate with email. After reporting a phishing email, it provides a short lesson on common tactics used by scammers, which I find valuable. The integration with email makes it easily accessible, and the short lessons fit perfectly with my busy schedule while providing meaningful and helpful insights. I love all the features offered and the opportunity to turn on 'spicy' mode. From what I've heard from the setup team, the setup process was smooth and the support was great.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I only had one problem while trying to report an email via the Outlook app and ended up clicking on a fake phishing link instead of clicking on the 'Hoxhunt' logo to report it.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt simulates phishing emails to train us on spotting threats. It's a hands-on tool that teaches more effectively than monthly trainings. It's easy to integrate with email, and its quick lessons provide useful insights in my busy schedule.

  ### 13. Fun and Effective Email Security Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jodi M.

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like that Hoxhunt makes training fun. The interface is seamlessly integrated into Microsoft Outlook, which is our email program, and I don't need additional training to figure out how to use it. It works within Outlook and I find out immediately if I have identified a scam email.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I think it would be helpful if after getting some tests correct, that the new test emails were more difficult to identify. So far I have 100%, but the scam emails have seemed pretty easy to identify. Since scam emails are getting harder to identify, I think Hoxhunt could replicate the more difficult ones. Maybe it does, and I haven't gotten any of the more difficult ones, but so far, all of the test emails have been pretty easy.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt helps me identify spam/phishing emails, keeps me sharp, and integrates seamlessly with Outlook, making the training both fun and easy to use without extra training.

  ### 14. Enhances Vigilance Against Phishing with Ease

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael W.

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like the way Hoxhunt allows me to stay more vigilant and make sure I'm getting all the details correct. I find the leaderboard surprisingly helpful for staying on top of reading emails and reporting them rather than just deleting. It helps me remember security features and keeps everything in one place, which keeps phishing email awareness top of mind. Additionally, setting it up for my position was very easy, as it worked from the first day.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I can't really think of anything.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt helps me verify security and phishing emails, ensuring I distinguish training emails from real threats. It keeps me vigilant, consolidates security features, and the leaderboard encourages attention to detail and reporting rather than just deleting messages.

  ### 15. Interactive Dashboard Boosts Email Security Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamila E.

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I love the interactive dashboard in Hoxhunt because it provides me with clear information on my results and progression, making it easy to track how well I'm doing. The competition aspect, where I can earn new shields and progress to different levels by gaining stars, is something I really enjoy as it adds a fun and engaging element to learning about security. The training sessions are very valuable, as they equip me with the skills to be vigilant when dealing with spam or phishing emails, helping me recognize and detect them effectively. Additionally, the initial setup of Hoxhunt was very easy, which made the overall experience smooth and hassle-free. The fact that I would rate it a 10 out of 10 for recommending it to friends or colleagues speaks to my trust and satisfaction with the service.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I find being able to search among my reported threats is lacking in Hoxhunt. A search bar to find reported threats would immensely improve my experience.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt to filter phishing and spam emails, staying informed and trained to detect them. The interactive dashboard tracks my progress, and gaining stars motivates me to improve my skills.

  ### 16. Engaging Security Training through Gamification

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like Hoxhunt's approach of making security awareness a game and a competition between employees. It drives conversation and friendly competition, keeping everyone engaged in the process and encouraging them to look for opportunities to score points. The automation of testing employees for their susceptibility to scams or phishing attacks is also valuable. Plus, the initial setup of Hoxhunt was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

The simulated emails are formulaic and could be more unique. It would be good to see more diverse topics covered, with less emails spoofing a legit email address.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt keeps us alert to email security threats by automating tests on our vulnerability to scams and phishing attacks.

  ### 17. Engaging Security Training with Easy Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grace D.

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I find Hoxhunt incredibly helpful for cyber security purposes. The platform provides interactive games that I particularly enjoy and find valuable. These games are triggered when I correctly identify a phishing email, and they demonstrate what actions I took correctly and how the email was a phishing attempt that could have compromised company security. This interactive element not only enhances my understanding but also keeps the learning process engaging. Overall, I am very satisfied with what Hoxhunt offers and am pleased with all its features, especially the interactive games. Additionally, the initial setup of Hoxhunt was very easy, and this simplicity adds to my overall positive experience with the product. I would highly recommend Hoxhunt to others and rate it a 10 out of 10 for recommendation.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I think it could have more interactive games, the more the better.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt for cybersecurity training. It helps identify phishing emails by engaging me with interactive games that explain how phishing attempts work, enhancing my awareness and protecting company data.

  ### 18. Gamified Email Security with Hoxhunt

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David V.

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I appreciate Hoxhunt for its feature that allows me to report phishing and suspicious emails effortlessly with just a single click, enhancing my email security without fuss. I also enjoy the intuitive dashboard that provides a clear view of deleted items, which helps me manage potential threats efficiently. The gamified level system with a leaderboard is particularly motivating, as it not only encourages vigilance against suspicious emails but also adds a rewarding competitive edge by enabling comparisons with coworkers. Overall, the ease of use stands out, making it straightforward and rewarding to keep my email safe.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I find the follow-up email process for phishing reports a bit inconvenient. Currently, after reporting a phishing email, I receive a follow-up email asking for more details, which can be cumbersome. I think it would be more efficient if this step could be streamlined into an immediate popup form that allows me to provide the necessary information quickly.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt to easily report phishing and suspicious emails with a single button, enhancing security. The gamified system and leaderboard make email vigilance rewarding, encouraging me to actively engage in safety practices.

  ### 19. Effortless Cybersecurity Education with Hoxhunt

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vili .

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I really appreciate that Hoxhunt requires virtually no effort on my end. I enjoy the ability to learn about cybersecurity threats without having to put in any significant effort. The simulated threat emails arrive automatically, providing a seamless and engaging way to stay informed about potential dangers. I receive these emails, which mimic real cyber threats, and they keep me alert. After interacting with these emails, the educational aspect of Hoxhunt kicks in, teaching me the different tactics that cyber attackers employ. The automatic nature of this learning process is fantastic; everything happens without me needing to actively engage, ensuring that I’m continuously updated on the latest in cybersecurity tactics. This process is not only informative but also happens automatically, allowing me to learn passively while staying on top of potential threats.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I find that the threat emails from Hoxhunt are occasionally too generic and would benefit from being more tailored to feel more realistic. Additionally, I'm concerned that these simulated threats only come via email, while cyber attackers are known to use a variety of channels, such as WhatsApp, Teams, and others. Incorporating multiple channels would provide a more comprehensive simulation of potential attack vectors.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt to stay alert on cybersecurity threats, learning about threats via email with no effort, as it provides educational insights on different attacker styles.

  ### 20. Engaging Security Training with User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ken S.

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I love that Hoxhunt is very user-friendly and engaging, which makes the process of learning about security threats enjoyable and effective. The inclusion of a leaderboard, ranking system, and games adds a competitive and fun element to the training, motivating me to improve my skills consistently. Additionally, the fake Phishing emails are quite amusing, providing a realistic yet entertaining way to educate users on potential scams. Furthermore, the setup was seamless with SSO, making it easy to get started without any hiccups. Overall, these aspects collectively contribute to a pleasant and enriching training experience, underscoring the platform's educational efficacy and ease of use.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Sometimes the games in Hoxhunt are a bit clunky, which hinders my engagement and enjoyment. Additionally, the 'Phish-a-friend' feature took over a week to receive more phishing examples to send out, and unfortunately, the event ended early. This delay in availability disrupted the intended flow and timing of participation.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt to learn about security threats, avoid scams and phishing, and it enhances my engagement with user-friendly training and fun, competitive elements such as leaderboards and games.

This competitive element adds a fun and motivating aspect to learning, driving me to participate actively. I also find the initial setup incredibly easy as Hoxhunt seamlessly integrated into my Gmail inbox without any hassle. This ease of use ensures that adopting the service doesn't become a barrier and allows me to focus on the educational value it provides.

The points and badges system is a great motivator, adding an element of fun while learning. I particularly enjoy the instant feedback feature, which not only confirms if an email report is phishing or not, but also highlights specific clues that were either noticed or missed. This real-time learning approach ensures that knowledge about phishing becomes ingrained, rather than just a routine task. ### 28. Great Experience from Start to Finish

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Hoxhunt is a training platform for phishing awareness. They send out mock phishing emails to end users and expect them to report them, if the user clicks the link they get redirected to a training session. The amount of these emails is not overwhelming (no more than a few per month), and they vary quite a lot. Sometimes they use information about employee to make a targeted phishing email. They also gamify progress through achievements and comparing statistics against other regions. It's very easy to use even for non technical users, and the training sessions are brief and explain the cybersecurity concepts pretty well. I consider myself to be quite aware of the common phishing tactics, and yet they've managed to catch me once or twice in a year, well done.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Sometimes the phishing emails are quite obvious (although I might be biased). User interface usually works well, but it occasionally lags or crashes.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Explains and educates users how to deal with the most common security risk in organisations - phishing.

  ### 29. Engaging and Detailed Phishing Training That Sharpens Awareness

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

When my company first implemented Hoxhunt we were briefed, so we aware that we would receive fake emails beforehand. That being said, the integration was a smooth process. What I find helpful about Hoxhunt is the different forms of fake emails they send out and that it goes into detail on how to identify them and what to really pay attention to. It helps condition you to pay close attention to the emails that you receive, including ones that look like they are from people you know or companies may know. It really helps raise your awareness inside and out of the workplace. It's easy to use. The frequency of emails received isn't too much or overbearing.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I think that sometimes the emails have been very repetitive, so they are easy to spot immediately.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt is bringing awareness to the type of fake/phishing emails that could slip thru the cracks. Making people pay closer attention to the emails they receive and the details that generally go unnoticed. For example: using a coworkers name as the sender with an important looking attachment to click, expressing the importance of it. If you are not conditioned to look for slightly different email addresses and click on that attachment, you could unknowingly open the door for some bad actor to steal your or your companies information or activate a virus or malware planted inside the attachment. This really helps raise awareness that people need to protect themselves in the computer world.

Additionally, the rewarding system, which includes stars and badges for successfully engaging with the software and completing missions, is motivational and makes me feel acknowledged and useful.

I find it challenging to differentiate between training and real spam emails using Hoxhunt. The fact that I can easily report any email, believing it to be a training exercise, can sometimes be misleading. This is problematic when the email turns out to be a real threat, as there seems to be no effective mechanism to distinguish between actual spam and training simulations. This makes it necessary for Hoxhunt to implement a more accurate system to help users identify and report real spam emails distinctly from training emails.

While my overall experience with Hoxhunt has been very positive, one area I feel could be improved is the frequency of the activities. The phishing simulations and training exercises are engaging and insightful, but they don’t happen often enough to keep the momentum going. I would love to see more frequent challenges or learning opportunities to help reinforce the habits and keep cybersecurity top of mind. Increasing the activity cadence would make the experience even more impactful.
