## Hoxhunt Reviews
  ### 1. Fun and Effective Email Security Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jodi M.

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like that Hoxhunt makes training fun. The interface is seamlessly integrated into Microsoft Outlook, which is our email program, and I don't need additional training to figure out how to use it. It works within Outlook and I find out immediately if I have identified a scam email.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I think it would be helpful if after getting some tests correct, that the new test emails were more difficult to identify. So far I have 100%, but the scam emails have seemed pretty easy to identify. Since scam emails are getting harder to identify, I think Hoxhunt could replicate the more difficult ones. Maybe it does, and I haven't gotten any of the more difficult ones, but so far, all of the test emails have been pretty easy.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt helps me identify spam/phishing emails, keeps me sharp, and integrates seamlessly with Outlook, making the training both fun and easy to use without extra training.

  ### 2. Engaging Cybersecurity Training with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steffen N.

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I really appreciate how Hoxhunt helps me stay vigilant and aids my company in minimizing the chances of cyberattacks. It provides excellent training to be prepared and learn about malware and other cyber threats, which is invaluable in today's digital environment. The award system within Hoxhunt is fantastic and enjoyable, adding an element of fun to the learning process. Additionally, I found the initial setup of Hoxhunt to be very easy and straightforward, which was a relief. Overall, the platform effectively enhances awareness and security preparedness, making it a valuable tool for both individual and organizational safety.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I think Hoxhunt could benefit from more tutorials to enhance learning about potential threats. Although I'm on 'spicy' mode, I've only received one challenge so far, and more frequent or diverse challenges would be appreciated to better engage users.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt enhances my awareness of malware, keeps me on guard, and helps minimize cyberattack risks for the company. The award system makes learning fun and engaging.

  ### 3. Engaging Phishing Training with Effective Simulations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vinícius A. | Full-stack Development Analyst

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I love how Hoxhunt provides a gamified experience to teach people about phishing, which makes learning engaging and enjoyable. The simulation reviews are particularly beneficial as they detail what to check in an email to help identify it as phishing, which has significantly enhanced my understanding of phishing threats. Additionally, the points scoreboard is an excellent feature as it incentivizes the improvement of phishing awareness among users, making the learning process competitive and fun. I also appreciate how the initial setup of Hoxhunt was straightforward and quick, taking only a few hours to be up and running. Overall, Hoxhunt has effectively contributed to raising phishing awareness and provided invaluable training through its simulations.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Some of the phishing simulations could be more challenging and closely resemble real threats. The current email simulations are often simple enough to immediately raise doubt, lacking the complexity that would better mimic realistic phishing attempts.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt’s gamified training to improve phishing awareness through engaging simulations, which help me learn to identify threats in emails effectively.

  ### 4. Hoxhunt Evaluation-Strengths, Weaknesses, and How It Reduces Organizational Risk

**Reviewed by:** Trishila A. | Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Hxhunt sends simulated phishing emails that closely mimic real-world phishing attacks, helping employees learn to recognize real threats. It’s easy to use, integrates smoothly with email systems, and measurably reduces phishing risk over time.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Frequent phishing simulations are repetitive, which can lead to training fatigue.
The content can be too basic or not challenging enough for more cybersecurity-savvy employees. Sometimes the customization options are limited, and some users find the constant notifications disruptive to workflow.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt trains quickly recognize and report real phishing attempts through realistic simulations, improving your awareness and reducing the chance you fall for malicious emails. further ones gain confidence in identifying suspicious messages instead of guessing.

it lowers business risk-Lowers IT/Security workload-More employees reporting phishing means security teams can catch real threats sooner and spend less time cleaning up incidents.

  ### 5. Hoxhunt:Between the Inbox & the Trap

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Training is fun & engaging, thanks to gamification like badges & leaderboards.
Simulated phishing emails feel real, which helps people get better at spotting threats.
Very user-friendly interface and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

The frequency of test emails / simulations can feel overwhelming or disruptive.
Some content may feel too basic for users with prior cybersecurity knowledge.
Occasionally the tracking / reporting (like time taken to report) seems unfair if someone is busy.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fewer security incidents because employees are better at spotting phishing.
Increased reporting of suspicious or malicious emails: more visibility and early detection.
More user engagement & participation in training — less resistance, better learning.
Saves time & effort for security teams (automated simulations, scalable interventions).
You get real evidence of improvement (drop in click rates, rise in reporting) to show return on investment / justify the program.

  ### 6. Engaging and practical learning experience with Hoxhunt

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda S. | Product Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like that Hoxhunt provides real-world examples and hands-on practice, making the training highly relevant and engaging. The scoring feature is especially motivating, as it lets me track my progress and compare results with my team members.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Honestly, there’s not much I dislike. At times, I think the challenges could be refreshed more often to keep things even more surprising, but overall the experience has been very positive.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt helps me and my team build stronger awareness of real-world security threats by simulating realistic phishing attempts. It turns training into an engaging, hands-on experience instead of just theory. The scoring and progress tracking features keep me motivated, and comparing results with my team encourages a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  ### 7. Entertaining Security Simulations, but Sometimes Too Obvious

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guillermo R. | Customer Care Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

In addition to making us more aware of malware and other security threats, the simulations are actually quite entertaining.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

The main issue I have with the simulations is that they can be too obvious at times. For instance, some are presented in a language different from the one we use, or they feature apps that are completely unfamiliar to us.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool helps me and my coworkers stay alert to malicious emails, which allows us to better protect our clients' information and maintain its security.

  ### 8. A reliable Simulation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahmoud M. | Global Service Quality II, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

What I genuinely like best about Hoxhunt is how seamlessly it fits into the workday and actually makes a difference.

First off, Ease of Use is a big win. The simulations just land in your inbox like any other email. There's no clunky portal to log into for the basic training, which is a huge relief. Reporting a suspicious email is literally a click of a button. It’s so straightforward that you actually do it.

When it comes to Ease of Implementation, our IT team seemed to get it up and running without any major headaches. From what I gather, it wasn't one of those nightmare rollouts, which is always a plus for everyone involved.

I haven't personally had to interact with Customer Support much, which I guess is a good sign! But the few times our admins have mentioned them, it's always been positive – responsive and helpful.

The Frequency of Use is pretty clever. It’s not overwhelming, but it's regular enough that you stay on your toes. You get these little simulated threats periodically, which keeps the awareness levels up without causing "training fatigue." You actually find yourself using the reporting button for real suspicious emails more often because you're in the habit.

Now, for the Number of Features. Hoxhunt isn't just about sending fake phishing emails. There's a whole gamified aspect to it – leaderboards, points, and immediate feedback when you correctly identify (or fall for!) a simulation. This makes it surprisingly engaging. Plus, the little micro-trainings that pop up after you interact with a simulation are short, sweet, and to the point. They don't overload you with information.

And finally, Ease of Integration. It clearly plays nice with our existing email system (we use Outlook). The Hoxhunt button is right there in the toolbar, and it feels like a natural part of the email environment rather than some bolted-on extra.

Honestly, Hoxhunt has managed to take something that’s usually a bit of a chore and turn it into something that’s not only effective but also, dare I say, a little bit fun. It’s made our whole team much more vigilant, and that’s a pretty big deal in today’s world.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Occasional Simulation Obviousness: While many simulations are cleverly disguised, once in a while, you get one that feels a bit too easy to spot. It’s not a major issue, as the variety is generally good, but it can momentarily break the "real-world threat" feeling. Perhaps a bit more consistency in the challenge level across all simulations would be beneficial.

Leaderboard Pressure (for some): The gamification with leaderboards is motivating for many, myself included. However, I've heard a few colleagues mention they feel a bit of pressure from it, or that it can feel overly competitive for what is essentially a security training tool. Maybe offering more customization in how leaderboards are displayed or used, or even an option to opt-out for individuals, could be considered.

Desire for More In-Depth Training Modules (Optional): The micro-trainings are great for quick learning. However, for those who want to dive deeper into specific types of threats or cybersecurity topics, it would be nice to have an easily accessible library of more comprehensive (but still optional) training resources linked from the platform.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

The way you receive genuine looking emails and really have to second guess them to decide whether it is real or fake! It has genuinely made me evaluate every email I receive, not only on my work PC, but also on my phone on my personal email address, to decide whether or not it may be a scam. It's great when you decide that it may be fake, and click on the shield to report, it congratulates you on spotting the signs and takes you to a small training/explanation of what you have just managed to spot and avoid! It really does become second nature after a while to check and question everything which unfortunately, nowdays, is what we all need to be doing! The emails arent too frequent so that you are bombarded but they are frequent enough to help the messages sink in. The whole system just integrates into your normal working day with no hassle and no big change, it's a really simple, intuitive system.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I dont like that sometimes I miss an email as I have been away from the office and when I just delete as its not work related, I am scored down for that.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me learn the signs to look out for to spot fake/spam/phishing emails. The signs that could easily have been missed by most people are now second nature to look out for in all aspects of my life, despite only having the system on my work PC.
