## Hoxhunt Reviews
  ### 1. Engaging Security Awareness Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sabyasachi P. | Quality Engineer L2, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

It's an interactive and adaptive learning approach. The platform uses gamified micro-training and real-time feedback to make spotting and reporting phishing emails both engaging and effective. This not only helps me stay alert to potential threats but also builds confidence in handling suspicious emails. I also appreciate that it reduces the burden on security teams by automating phishing analysis, while still giving employees meaningful insights.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I find Hoxhunt valuable overall, but at times the exercises are too similar, and the notifications can be disruptive. More diverse content and flexible scheduling would improve the experience.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt is helping solve the problem of phishing and social engineering attacks by providing realistic simulations and adaptive security awareness training. It addresses the challenge of employees overlooking suspicious emails by making training interactive, engaging, and continuous. This benefits me by improving my ability to recognise and report phishing attempts in real time, building confidence in handling potential threats, and reducing the risk of falling victim to cyberattacks.

  ### 2. Effortless, Engaging Training That Fits Seamlessly Into the Workday

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam M. | Account executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Hoxhunt is extremely easy to use and does a great job of training users without feeling overwhelming. The simulated phishing emails are realistic and actually help build good habits. I like that it teaches you why something is suspicious instead of just telling you that you failed. The platform runs quietly in the background and only takes a few seconds to complete each task, so it fits naturally into the workday. The reporting button is simple, fast, and reliable, and the points system keeps the training engaging.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Some of the simulations tend to feel repetitive, and at times the emails are so obvious that they lose their usefulness. I also find myself wishing that the feedback provided after reporting was more detailed, as this would help users better understand the red flags. Aside from these points, the system functions smoothly and does not disrupt my workflow.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt helps our organization stay ahead of phishing attempts by training users to recognize and report suspicious emails instantly. It solves the problem of inconsistent security awareness by giving everyone the same hands-on practice in real-world scenarios. The platform makes it easy to develop better instincts, reduces the chances of someone clicking something dangerous, and improves overall security habits across the team. It also keeps the training quick and low-effort, which means people actually use it.

  ### 3. Engaging Cybersecurity Training, But Simulations Can Be Repetitive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muskan J. | OPERATIONS ANALYST, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

What I appreciate most about Hoxhunt is how it transforms cybersecurity from a tedious task into an engaging challenge that I genuinely want to overcome. The phishing simulations are convincing without being overwhelming, and the immediate feedback provided is both helpful and informative.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

At times, the simulated phishing emails seem a little too frequent or repetitive, particularly when work is especially busy. I recognize that the intention is to help us develop good habits, but the frequency can sometimes be disruptive. Additionally, I would value having a bit more context or explanation after each simulation, such as information on how it relates to actual threats or current phishing trends.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt addresses the challenge of phishing awareness and reduces the risk of human error in cybersecurity. It keeps me vigilant against potential threats, offers realistic simulations for learning, and helps me develop strong security habits that safeguard both myself and the organization.

The platform’s personalized challenges, along with its instant feedback, make the learning process both effective and enjoyable, and it helps the lessons stick in a practical way.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

One thing I dislike about Hoxhunt is that the training can sometimes feel too frequent or repetitive, which can be distracting on busy workdays. Even though the exercises are valuable and useful, the regular interruptions can occasionally disrupt my focus and affect my workflow.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ropa M. | Talent Acquisition Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like the gamified user experience in Hoxhunt because it makes learning more engaging and helps me grasp the principles better. I also love that it sends real-life examples directly to my inbox, allowing me to practice the theory effectively.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Not much, but if I had to pluck something out of the air, it does sometimes feel repetitive; as if the same content is being recycled. In these cases, I tend to just click through and take in as much content as possible. The content feels repetitive, like I've already read it in another module or lesson.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt keeps me up to date on cyber security best practices, trends, and risks. I appreciate its gamified experience and real-life examples, which make learning engaging and practical.

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I use Hoxhunt to strengthen our organization's security awareness and reduce phishing risk. I appreciate that it provides training through realistic phishing simulations and short, engaging lessons that help us develop good security habits. I like how effective it combines realism, personalization, and measurable impact. The phishing simulations feel authentic and relevant, which helps me and other employees build real instincts instead of just memorizing rules. It's also valuable because of how adaptive the platform is. It tailors training based on individual behavior, so everyone gets guidance that matches their actual risk level, rather than a one size fits all approach.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

One area is content variety over long periods of use. While the phishing simulations are realistic, long-term users may eventually recognize certain patterns. Expanding the content library more frequently or offering industry-specific scenarios could help to keep the experience fresh and maintain that high engagement.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt to strengthen our organization's security awareness and reduce phishing risk with realistic simulations and engaging lessons, making training effective and easy to adopt.

This real-time learning approach ensures that knowledge about phishing becomes ingrained, rather than just a routine task. Additionally, the easy-to-use reporting button in Outlook makes it convenient for everyone to participate actively and remain vigilant. I also find the incorporation of realistic phishing examples with instant feedback and gamification compelling; it transforms learning from a chore into an interactive experience. **Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I’ve really enjoyed using Hoxhunt. It has helped me become much more confident in identifying suspicious emails by teaching me how to recognize and understand various types of phishing attempts. I appreciate that the training is designed like a game, which keeps me engaged and motivates me to improve with each session. I don’t really dislike anything major about Hoxhunt, but sometimes the emails can feel a bit predictable after a while. I think adding more variety or trickier examples could make the challenges even more interesting and realistic.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt is helping me recognize phishing attempts and understand how to handle suspicious emails safely. Before using it, I wasn’t always sure what signs to look for, but now I feel much more confident spotting them. ### 13. Engaging and Detailed Phishing Training That Sharpens Awareness

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

When my company first implemented Hoxhunt we were briefed, so we aware that we would receive fake emails beforehand. That being said, the integration was a smooth process. What I find helpful about Hoxhunt is the different forms of fake emails they send out and that it goes into detail on how to identify them and what to really pay attention to. It helps condition you to pay close attention to the emails that you receive, including ones that look like they are from people you know or companies may know. It really helps raise your awareness inside and out of the workplace. It's easy to use. The frequency of emails received isn't too much or overbearing.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I think that sometimes the emails have been very repetitive, so they are easy to spot immediately.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt is bringing awareness to the type of fake/phishing emails that could slip thru the cracks. Making people pay closer attention to the emails they receive and the details that generally go unnoticed. For example: using a coworkers name as the sender with an important looking attachment to click, expressing the importance of it. If you are not conditioned to look for slightly different email addresses and click on that attachment, you could unknowingly open the door for some bad actor to steal your or your companies information or activate a virus or malware planted inside the attachment. This really helps raise awareness that people need to protect themselves in the computer world.

  ### 25. My honest HoxHunt review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krzysztof D. | Software Development Engineer in Test, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I’ve been using HoxHunt for over a year now, and overall, I’m really pleased with how it’s helped me become more aware of phishing tactics. The interface is straightforward and easy to navigate, which makes reporting suspicious emails feel like second nature rather than a chore. The quick feedback you get after flagging a potential threat has also been really motivating—it’s nice to see whether you’ve caught something right away.

Another aspect I enjoy is how HoxHunt turns training into a sort of game. There’s a bit of friendly competition in my office to see who can identify and report phishing attempts the fastest. This gamified approach keeps things engaging and encourages us to stay vigilant, so I definitely give HoxHunt a thumbs up for making cybersecurity training both fun and informative.

I use HoxHunt practically a few times a month. It simulates training with regular, but unpredictable intervals of simulated phishing attempts. The fact that the training emails come to my inbox as any other email would integrate really nicely! I don't need to log into some other platform, it's all there inside of my email app.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I do think there’s room for growth. The phishing simulations, while helpful, could use a bit more variety. After a while, they start to feel predictable, which makes them less effective at testing real-life awareness. Adding new, more creative or more advanced phishing scenarios would keep the training fresh and challenge users at different skill levels.

I’d also love to see additional features or content beyond just spotting emails—maybe some interactive modules on social engineering techniques or deeper dives into the psychology of phishing scams. With a little more variety and advanced material, HoxHunt could be the go-to cybersecurity training platform for teams of any size.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides phishing awareness training while being fully integrated into my email account and day-to day work. There is no need to complete any special trainings on some web platform, watch long cybersec videos etc. There are simulated, real world phishing scenarios to train my awareness on, without any extra hassle.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Some people mention that the simulations may become repetitive, interrupt workflow, and create excessive pressure.

Hoxhunt tackles a significant business challenge: the susceptibility of people to phishing and social engineering attacks, which remain among the primary causes of data breaches and financial losses.

  ### 28. A great Tool for Email Security

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bartosz B. | Stażysta w dziale automatyki, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Hoxhunt excels in helping users recognize and protect themselves from phishing and other email-based threats. Its interactive training approach is both engaging and practical, providing simulated phishing emails that mimic real-life attacks. This not only builds awareness but also empowers users to handle suspicious emails confidently. Additionally, Hoxhunt integrates well with email systems (like Outlook) and offers excellent analytics for tracking progress and identifying vulnerabilities within an organization.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

While Hoxhunt is an excellent tool, its effectiveness relies heavily on the active participation of users. Some users may find the simulated phishing emails overly frequent or repetitive, leading to potential "training fatigue."

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt addresses the critical issue of email-based cyber threats, such as phishing, spear-phishing, and other social engineering attacks. These attacks are often the gateway to data breaches and financial losses for individuals and organizations. Hoxhunt’s platform helps mitigate these risks by training users to recognize and report suspicious emails instead of falling for them.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I have taken tests and completed cybersecurity training with a number of different training platforms. Unlike those, I appreciate Hoxhunt's training is prompted by actual test emails that are designed to give a realistic simulation of cyberattacks. This gives me an opportunity to have hands-on experience in recognizing and responding to threats in a safe, controlled environment.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

While I am sure the test questions are helpful for some less technology savvy individuals, they do seem fairly easy and basic in understanding to me. Not much how much new information has been provided to me via these quizzes.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company was recently impacted by a cybersecurity breach. Someone clicked on a phishing email's link. That one click cost our company dearly. I believe that Hoxhunt's training is helping those less technology literate and security aware employees to recognize cybersecurity threats.
