We use Houzz Pro every day in our construction business, and it’s been extremely helpful for staying organized by keeping our clients and projects all in one place. Being able to create estimates and invoices, then send them directly to the client through Houzz, is awesome. The Houzz Pro Clipper is also a big help—having clients’ selections show up in their client dashboard makes it much easier to keep everyone on the same page. It has helped us reach a level of professionalism that we didn't have before Houzz. It is so easy to use not only for us but for our clients. They can easily approve or decline their selections as well as use their client dashboard to see all of their project in one place. I can't say enough good things about Houzz Pro and how it has helped our business. I also love the value for the money. What do you dislike about Houzz Pro? I think the only thing I do not like about it is sometimes it takes a long time for things to load when you are going from one page to the next. It's not instant. I use Houzz Pro for project management and client communications. It allows me to track expenses on a project level basis and at the purchase order level per subcontractor, which is helpful for estimating and accuracy. The selection boards make it easy to communicate visually with clients and allow them to link directly to the project products, which is very helpful for them to visualize items in their space. What do you dislike about Houzz Pro? I wish there was better item selection for generic items in the 3D floor planner. I’m also always a bit worried about whether the internal communication, approvals, and payments are user-friendly and intuitive for my clients. I don't want them having to learn a software either. I like that I can run my business mostly all in one place. The design components, however, need improvement. The limitations are real - from not being able to customize cabinetry to the adjustments of floor plans being tedious. The measurements are also frustrating as distance from floor isn't to center on sconces or countertop on vanities. It's the highest point of the item which is silly. We also need better features for roof lines, exterior design elements, etc. I can't create a sloped wall inside unless it's a exterior wall. What do you dislike about Houzz Pro? Getting started can feel a bit overwhelming at first. Houzz offers a lot of different features, so it may come across as intimidating in the beginning. However, once you’re in the system and actively using the software, it starts to feel natural and quickly becomes second nature. The onboarding team is great at answering questions quickly and setting up zoom meetings to walk you through tasks. The AI chat box is also an invaluable tool to help navigate quick changes. Before we were using Houzz, our information was scattered over different phones, platforms, Excell spreadsheets, and invoicing software. Now, eveything is in one place. All employees can see the same information, and add any new pictures, updates, pricing, even texting and call logs or notes onto a project. This helps keep all the moving parts running smoothly, the clients are in the know at all times, and they aren't being given different answers by different employees.
