We use Houzz Pro every day in our construction business, and it’s been extremely helpful for staying organized by keeping our clients and projects all in one place. Being able to create estimates and invoices, then send them directly to the client through Houzz, is awesome. The Houzz Pro Clipper is also a big help—having clients’ selections show up in their client dashboard makes it much easier to keep everyone on the same page. It has helped us reach a level of professionalism that we didn't have before Houzz. It is so easy to use not only for us but for our clients. They can easily approve or decline their selections as well as use their client dashboard to see all of their project in one place. I use Houzz Pro for project management and client communications. It allows me to track expenses on a project level basis and at the purchase order level per subcontractor, which is helpful for estimating and accuracy. The selection boards make it easy to communicate visually with clients and allow them to link directly to the project products, which is very helpful for them to visualize items in their space. What I don’t like isn’t actually a diss on Houzz Pro—there are just so many features that I haven’t had the time to really learn and capitalize on. I’m also always a bit worried about whether the internal communication, approvals, and payments are user-friendly and intuitive for my clients. I don't want them having to learn a software either. The design components, however, need improvement. The limitations are real - from not being able to customize cabinetry to the adjustments of floor plans being tedious. The measurements are also frustrating as distance from floor isn't to center on sconces or countertop on vanities. It's the highest point of the item which is silly. We also need better features for roof lines, exterior design elements, etc. I can't create a sloped wall inside unless it's a exterior wall.
