Since I rely on my website, the daily up time and usage is critical. It is easy to register and set up a domain. The integration of domains and sites was easy enough. The CNAME setup and sub domains, were all working well. And I did love the options to get plans that fit my business. **What do you dislike about HostGator?** I had issues with security and viruses, continually while hosting my site there. After 3 failures of the site, and one billing failure that took my site down, even though the payment was on automatic payments... I left for a more secure and stable platform. **What problems is HostGator solving and how is that benefiting you?** Domain registration and hosting. ### 2. Avoid Hostgator if you value your website. Their system deleted my WordPress site – gone! When I spoke to “support” they say that billing for my hosting failed. After I have been with them for years. The credit card on file is one we use every day. They say their ‘system’ sent an email about billing problem. Those emails never came to us, although I get emails from them all the time – MANY emails I have received, none saying they would delete my hosting. My domain name was billed fine. They have no explanation, my site is gone because Hostgater failed!
