HosPortal is medical rostering software built only for hospital medical teams. Founded in 2008 by a practising anaesthetist, it is used by more than 100 departments and 11,000 clinicians across Australia and New Zealand, including anaesthesia, emergency, ICU, radiology, surgery, general medicine and junior medical officer units. Departments use HosPortal to build rosters with templates, rules and AI auto-build; roster on-call and supervision with skill-mix and fatigue rules enforced as the roster is built; manage junior doctor terms and rotations; run self-rostering and preference rostering; let staff swap and take shifts through a rules-governed Market; approve leave under conditions the department sets; and produce timesheets with award rules that export to payroll. Staff use native iOS and Android apps, SMS and email alerts, and iCal calendar sync. HosPortal is hosted on AWS in Sydney, complies with the Australian Privacy Act, supports SAML single sign-on including Microsoft Entra ID and multi-factor authentication, and is independently penetration tested. Pricing is published: A$200 per user per year with setup, training, hosting and support included, and an optional AI module at A$80 per user per year. Most departments are live within four to eight weeks. Support runs 6am to midnight AEST.
