I log into my laptop (2 year old Chromebook) and then launch Citrix where it picks up exactly where I left off. I get a call when I’m not near my laptop so I log into Citrix from my cell phone (iOS) and access a an Excel form to provide someone data. I travel and work at a workstation at a different office and simply log into Citrix to access my files, saved passwords in my browser, Outlook, Skype for Business, etc."

"Functional But Not User Friendly: The biggest thing is that it allows the user a completely immersed experience within the virtual machine. For example, we run a version of Windows 10 through VMWare off of a Mac, and it's as if there were only the PC functioning on that window. For functions that need to be done on a PC (we use an old recruiting software), it's very helpful to have an entire virtual machine to run off of rather than just the program (like through Microsoft RD). Another plus is that documents can be dragged easily (most of the time) between the PC desktop and the Mac desktop, so that interface is relatively seamless."

"So simple and easy to use!!: What I love the most with Parallels is that when I’m not connected directly to the company’s server I can remote into any of the applications that I need to with if not at the office. So it’s great when I’m off sick or at home when a problem arises, I can pull out my computer and remote directly to all my work data. When the server is down at airport and we cannot check in I still have my laptop that we can remote in to get any check in data needed. It also has a really good mobile app too which is a really good plus. "

"Vagrant is awesome: This software is a marvel of modern computing. Never before has it been so easy to develop in multiple environments on just one pc or laptop. With a simple two word command, a virtual machine is created and launched. Vagrant goes out to the cloud and retrieves the chosen OS allowing for the developer to concentrate on the project rather than wasting extra time maintaining copies of development OSs and doing manual installations. This also makes it very easy to have the same development variables on multiple machines for multiple team members."
