"Convenient, User-Friendly Platform with a Great Content Planner"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

Hootsuite's greatest strength lies simply in its convenience. The interface is very user-friendly; it took a very short amount of time to learn it when we first onboarded. I think the value of what you pay for in the subscription fee is very fair, for the sheer amount of features the platform offers alone. My favourite feature would be the content planner, as it is perfect for locating historic posts, as well as keeping a consistent schedule. The AI used to edit captions is good overall, certainly customisable. I have not tested Hootsuite under a heavy workload, due to the nature of what we use it for, however in the time I have used it, I have never encountered a performance-based issue, the platform is fast and efficient. What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

I wouldn't say that there is any particular downside of using Hootsuite, however, I would say that I have noticed various issues with social media accounts being unlinked from Hootsuite repeatedly, which is quite inconvenient to fix. I couldn't say confidently whether it is a well-known issue or one that is due to integration issues, but it would certainly be the biggest negative experience I've had with Hootsuite. "Affordable, Easy-to-Use Social Media Solution"
4/5
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

I use Hootsuite for social media management, analytics, and competitor research. I like that I can post ahead of time using the social schedule and track analytics, which helps me make a biweekly report based on our Instagram and LinkedIn analytics. The ability to look at our competitors and see what thought leadership we should share is also valuable. I find Hootsuite very easy to use and appreciate its affordability. The app is a great feature because it allows me to check or edit my posts. The social posting is simple, and I can save drafts if I'm not ready. I value the app functionality a lot because I can double-check my posts and make edits or reschedule without having to log into my laptop. Moving to Hootsuite was easy, and the initial setup was incredibly straightforward. Additionally, the pricing is appealing, which was a factor in switching from Oktopost. What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

I think that there could probably be more advanced tools like employer advocacy ones and also the tagging sometimes does not work with finding people or companies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We monitor important metrics such as follower growth and post reach, and our Amplify program had a revenue increase of 250% YoY. At the heart of Hootsuite Social OS is our unifying framework. As well as social media platforms like X and TikTok, Hootsuite connects with vital business tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One Social Media Scheduling Made Easy with Hootsuite"
5/5
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

Hootsuite offers everything a social media manager needs in one place. Scheduling posts ahead of time is paramount to alleviate some of the forethought that goes into strategizing. It's affordable for any team, so purchasing Hootsuite should be no issue for anyone. Its AI features are improving over time, and I've found myself using OwlyGPT for more and more content ideas for complex subjects. And the fact that it posts to nearly every social media platform makes it easy to manage everything in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

Support is not always quick. Sometimes when I have issues it takes some time to hear back from a representative. I also think the Ai feature could use some work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"RSS Feed and Bulk Scheduling Make News Posting Effortless"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

I manage social media for The Statesman a Delhi based newspaper site, so there's always a constant flow of news posts going out during the day. RSS feed feature is very useful for me because it pulls website posts directly into dashboard and saves a lot of manual work. I also use bulk scheduling pretty often when there are multiple new updates lined up together. It makes my work more manageable during busy day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

A few really useful apps and integrations are locked behind premium addon subscription. Sometimes that becomes difficult because extra approvals are needed internally before we can use certain features, even when they would genuinely help the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Social Media Management with Room for UI Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

I use Hootsuite to plan and schedule posts in advance, which allows me to alleviate doing so much in one day or even one sitting. It helps me focus on other priorities without worrying about publishing them manually. I love that I don't have those 'Home Alone' moments when a post is due. It keeps me consistent on social media without having to be online when the post gets published. Having my content and performance calendar tracked in one place is great. I also appreciate the analytics that help me understand what's working, what isn't, and how I can improve my strategy. Hootsuite is like a one-stop shop for managing social media, making it organized and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

Hootsuite packs a lot into one platform, which is great, but it can also make it feel a little busy at times. Depending on what I am working on, I occasionally have to click through multiple sections to find what I need. Once things are set up, I will say that it works well, but I think simplifying the interface or making certain tools easier to access would create an even smoother experience. "Hootsuite Makes Scheduling and Analytics Effortless"
4/5
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

Hootsuite saves me a lot of time by letting me schedule content in advance across multiple platforms. I also like the recommended posting times and the analytics, which make it easy to track performance and optimize my content strategy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

My experience signing up wasn't the best. I initially subscribed to the Standard plan but quickly realized I needed the Professional plan. Unfortunately, there's no option in between, so it meant an increase of about $200 per month. As a small business owner who works primarily with nonprofit clients, that's a significant jump in cost, but I was prepared to make the investment.

The frustrating part was the upgrade process. I couldn't reach support through the live chat because it kept telling me I needed to log in, even though I was already logged into my account. I ended up sending a message through Facebook instead, where someone was eventually able to help resolve what turned out to be an issue on Hootsuite's end.

While I appreciated that the problem was fixed, I was disappointed with the customer service experience. Given that the issue wasn't caused by me and I was upgrading to a much more expensive plan, I had hoped there might be some type of discount or goodwill gesture. Instead, the response was essentially, "Sorry, we can't do that," which left me feeling a bit undervalued as a new customer.

I previously used AgoraPulse, and their team took the time to work with me directly to create a custom package based on the number of users I actually needed, rather than limiting me to a standard plan on their website. Because of that experience, it was disappointing that Hootsuite dismissed the possibility of a more tailored solution so quickly. Even if a discount or custom plan wasn't possible, I would have appreciated a more collaborative approach to finding an option that fit my business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Learn Social Media Management with Powerful Analytics and Teamwork"
4/5
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

I like it because it is very easy to use and learn, as well as teach others. Another reason I like Hootsuite is its analytics features. The platform provides insights about engagement, audience growth, and post performance, which helps users understand what content works best. These tools are useful for improving communication strategies and creating stronger connections with audiences. Hootsuite also supports teamwork by allowing multiple people to collaborate on campaigns and content planning.

Overall, I like Hootsuite because it combines creativity, organization, and analytics into one platform. It simplifies social media management while helping users communicate more effectively and professionally online. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

The only thing I dislike about Hootsuite is the cost. Many of the advanced features, such as detailed analytics, team collaboration tools, and managing multiple accounts, are only available through paid plans. For students, small businesses, or individuals with limited budgets, the pricing can feel expensive compared to other social media management platforms. The free version also has restrictions that limit how useful it can be for larger projects.

I also find that scheduled posts do not always perform as well as content posted directly through social media apps. Some platforms limit certain features when third-party scheduling tools are used, which can affect engagement and content quality. Additionally, occasional technical issues or connection problems between accounts can be frustrating.

Overall, while Hootsuite is powerful and professional, its complexity, pricing, and occasional limitations make it less appealing for some users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Social Scheduling That Keeps Multi-Channel Campaigns on Track"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

We've been using Hootsuite to manage social media activities across multiple channels, regions, and campaigns, and it has become an important part of our day-to-day workflow.

What I appreciate most is the ability to plan, schedule, and manage content from a centralized platform. The calendar view makes it easy to maintain a consistent publishing cadence across channels, while approval workflows help ensure content is reviewed before publication. As someone working with multiple stakeholders, campaigns, and deadlines, having everything organized in one place saves significant time and reduces the risk of errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

If I could improve one thing, it would be the user experience for some advanced features. Certain reporting options, content customization requirements between platforms, and workflow settings can take time to learn. Performance can also occasionally feel slower when managing large volumes of scheduled content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Workflows - Social Media Content Management and Reporting"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Hootsuite?

Streams within Hootsuite are very helpful for organization of content / posts across all social media platforms connected. URL uploading and condensing is seamless when creating social media posts and this aids in overall performance of month-to-month social media content calendar creation. Hootsuite support and onboarding was a breeze and the team members were able to quickly address all areas of concern. The AI capabilities within the platform have been a great overall addition especially in terms of data, analytics, and social media copy creation. Workflow on a day-to-day basis have been improved especially in the areas of quick data pulls, demographic and audience behavior, and content performance. Excellent UI / UX. The integrations of team workflows have been beneficial and the overall pricing for each team member is competitive within industry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

I do not enjoy the lack of API connection to seamlessly upload IG / FB Stories. I also believe there can be improvements at the general level for monitoring team member activity - such as how many times they are logging in, how many times they are viewing streams, and how many times they are generating reports.
