I'm a one-man IT shop, but I still need to make sure that Security Awareness Training remains a top priority. Hook Security takes this responsibility off my plate every month by managing and sending out monthly campaigns without any intervention from me. My end-users get tested regularly and take training as needed. It doesn't get any easier than this. This is why I will continue to be a customer for years to come. Something along the lines of a profile for each end user that provides a risk assessment based on their performance in training and internal phishing campaigns. Our ability to defend against unneeded spam attacks is made possible by Hook Security's simple yet effective anti-phishing and anti-spam toolkit. Hook Security provides SCORM files, enabling connecting THEIR instruction with my LMS. The burden of creating and maintaining an up-to-date training program has been significantly reduced. Hook isn't focused on the "haha, gotchya, and you're a terrible risk in our organization" -- they're focused on the "let's learn together how to become more security-aware". To get employees to participate in the training, they have two methods - humorous and more formal - to match your Org's culture. I was very thoughouly onboarded by one dedicated person who built a customized task list with videos which helped tremendously. After using and demoing several competitors, I feel 100% comfortable recommending Hook to others. While they're a "smaller" company at the time of writing, that doesn't stop them from having all of the "big" company features, plus some. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Hook Security? I have yet to find any downsides to using Hook. Unlike bigger competitors, you are not treated as "just another number". According to our Baseline Testing, Hook is solving a 60% "fail rate" in our organization. The solution contains fully customizable Phishing Attack Simulations and customizable landing pages, and "Hooked" pages to fit what I want to accomplish. Their creative templates fuel me to formulate examples that one user in our Organization called "Genius". She said, "After many cybersecurity trainings, with previous organizations, I still fell for it!" Hook also offers Training campaigns that contain helpful tips and tricks we're sending out to employees. Additionally, we're utilizing their high quality annual training with our Organization. Not many downsides that I've found. I think the training sessions would be more useful if they were tailored to the specifics of the phishing email. They are a bit generic. I love that Hook is so affordable and that they offer SCORM files so that I can integrate THEIR training with my LMS. It's taken a lot off of MY plate to come up with and keep a training program updated. Plus, the Phishing Simulations are GREAT with landing pages that allow you to see if your user will type in information. I wish the auto reporting feature was a little more flexible. I'd like to be able to one time set up the report and have it auto run to my email on a specified day. Don't get me wrong, they have reporting that will do it, I just don't need as much information as it gives, so being able to fine-tune it for us would be really nice. We've had one security breach, another user out $500 from a gift card scam, and we still have users that click links occasionally. What Hook really does for us is allow us a glimpse into whether our cyber awareness program is working or not. We train with their files, but the phishing simulations tell us whether it's working or not.
