The best part of Hook is that the product works. Our users have significantly improved over the last nine months of tests. The portal makes it super easy to get reports and drill down into specifics. Also, the people at Hook have been great to work with. They respond to all our requests in a timely manner and seek to help us solve any issue that pops up.

There is not much that I dislike. At first, we had some technical issues with filtering out false positives, but with some follow-up meetings, we were able to get them resolved.

My advice is to give their product a try and you will see how easy it is.

Hook Security provides an opportunity to train staff on how to identify phishing scams and what to do when you find them. It has made me much more careful with what I click on and open up in my email because of the test emails they send out monthly. I failed a couple of times, and after reviewing the test that I had failed and the subsequent videos they show you where you made a mistake, I am now much more aware of phishing scams and less likely to click on anything harmful.

I like the analytics they provide after a test has concluded. It gives a great view of where you stand as an organization where phishing is concerned and shows you who may need to pay a little more attention when clicking links in emails.

There is no downside that I am aware of.

The Hook reports allow us to identify people who need more help identifying phishing emails. They also provide video training to the user after being hooked and show them why they should not have fallen for it. This awareness then helps the staff recognize any genuine phishing attempts that may get through our defenses and minimizes the likelihood of malware infection and theft.

My company policy and regulatory strategy require continuous training for each department, quarterly phishing simulations, and bi-annual spear-phishing sims. Keeping this activity on track can get complicated, but Hook Security made it quick and easy to set up. Now we're exactly as hands-on (and hands-off) as we want to be.

So far, so good. We haven't run into any noteworthy pain points. We misunderstood a setting and support quickly walked us through our problem.

I haven't seen a good way to have a new hire "catch up" on training they didn't receive that everyone else in the company already has. It could be I just missed it, but it would be nice to see each time we enroll a new user that Hook would actively encourage that new person to review all the same training modules from past months.

We needed a consistent security awareness training to keep up our culture of security and satisfy our SOC 2 Type II annual audit requirements. The reporting makes it really easy for us to confirm that we have full compliance with our training program, and the system does a good job of nudging our team.

Hook Security "checks the box" for compliance in cyber security/awareness training for businesses of all sizes, but does so with high quality media content, training modules, and explainers.

There are many options for back-end reporting, which is great, and a core product component. However, the interface could be more streamlined.

I run a very small creative firm, but as I bring on new team members, I appreciate that I can add them to my compliance/phishing training dashboard to be sure they get up to speed.
