**What do you like best about Homecare Homebase?**

It allowed for various methods of searching a patient (ex: SSN, last name, MRN, Medicaid #, etc) it made finding your patient easy. Also it showed the important information for identifying your patient visible in 1 screen.

**What do you dislike about Homecare Homebase?**

I disliked all the windows that had to open up when clicked. If the windows opened in a tab form, i think if would have made the user experience more pleasant. This is especially when you need to pull up more than 1 record.

**What problems is Homecare Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows data entry of EHR and not taking. Whoever's working on a team for the patient can see all the changes made to the referral. It is easy to find notes pertaining to the patients care.

**What do you like best about Homecare Homebase?**

Captures excellent data to improve Star ratings, patient care, and outcomes. HCHB has tons of reports to pull to manage the productivity of staff.

**What do you dislike about Homecare Homebase?**

The Backoffice portion of HCHB is not intuitive and has a steep learning curve, while robust, daily struggles occur in the office to find 'this or 'that within the chart.

**What problems is Homecare Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have noticed that it is capturing outcomes better than our previous EHR which has led to an increase in our Star Rating, additionally, it helps reinforce in-home charting and same-day charting compliance.

**What do you like best about Homecare Homebase?**

The compassion, care and centered vision of a whole quality meaningful life. A lot of time being home and ill takes a lot from life but when having that autonomy of a full life goes a long way!

**What do you dislike about Homecare Homebase?**

Honestly, there isn't anything that I dislike. Yes, the work day at times can be very busy and workload shift for multitasking is necessary as the matter is pressing.

**What problems is Homecare Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At the moment Homecare Homebase is solving the staffing issue for clients and appreciating the employees. This is benefiting me because it helps a lot with retention and improves the metrics of our service.

**What do you like best about Homecare Homebase?**

The thing that I like most about the software is that it really helps to become compliant with the requirements of Survey and it's pretty easy to use on the front end.

**What do you dislike about Homecare Homebase?**

The software seems dated and is a bit clunky in places. It's not always easy to see the actions that a user needs to take next. In other words, it doesn't seem as intuitive as other healthcare software that I've used.

**What problems is Homecare Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem that we are solving with this software is to make sure that we are compliant with healthcare requirements when we are audited by survey. This product, when used correctly, makes a big difference when it comes to meeting compliance requirements.

**What do you like best about Homecare Homebase?**

We are still in implementation, but I will say the best thing I've encountered is the system training. The training modules for users is comprehensive but not overwhelming! You can go at your own pace, and I can only imagine the training and orienting costs that will be saved having these available to us throughout implementation and beyond.

**What do you dislike about Homecare Homebase?**

So far, there has not been anything I was truly disappointed with! There's not much for a quickbooks connection, but I believe that to be on the QB side of not "playing well with others" and not so the HCHB side.

**What problems is Homecare Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are streamlining process from the patient referral clear to the receipt of revenue. Everything is tracked , we currently use countless excel spreadsheets to monitor event and forms statuses, so it will be a breath of fresh air to have the support of the workflows to ensure there isn't anything falling through the cracks!

**What do you like best about Homecare Homebase?**

I LOVE that they utilize Tableau for their data! And once you get to the higher level of answering tickets, they can actually answer your questions

**What do you dislike about Homecare Homebase?**

They are SO DIFFICULt to work with - whether it's replying in a timely manner or questions/tickets, actually listening to what you're asking of them, or not communicating any releases or updates. When it comes to their data, I had someone ask me last week how I can have faith that it's correct, and my answer was 'I don't - I'm always taking anyone's comment if it's wrong seriously, and any time they release anything new I spend a full day or so checking over it to make sure it's actually correct'. We also have to utilize our own data and information because they don't give us many options for financial information, nor non-Medicare like payors.

**What problems is Homecare Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for all things around the patient episode, though mainly I use it to translate the data into usable dashboard for all levels of users. Being able to get them the data they need that automatically updates every night saves a TON of time.

Analytics, reports, review, scheduling ability.

**What do you dislike about Homecare Homebase?**

I dislike the lag there is sometimes when someone sends a visit back, or when a order processes. Sometimes its difficult to correlate orders with the scheduling console

Solving problems that have created lost revenue. Better management of episodes and lost billing periods

Easy to use for even a beginner.  Clear and concise instructions. Well written programming makes this so easy and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Homecare Homebase?**

Absolutely nothing to dislike. Everything about it is great.

Scheduling meds has been made easier.  Dr. Appointment dates and times are easy to keep. Overall, a great experience.

**What do you like best about Homecare Homebase?**

HCHB is very thorough and does not allow you to move on/complete your notes without completing all of the required fields which is helpful to ensure that all of the necessary documentation is present before signing your note. 

**What do you dislike about Homecare Homebase?**

HCHB is extremely time consuming, and there are times when information needs to be rewritten in multiple fields, which causes increased time needed for documentation and detracts from face to face interaction if you are trying to answer all of the required categories during the visit. It would be a much more streamlined process if information automatically pulled over from similar fields. Additionally, there are times when it would be helpful to toggle between screens, however that was not a feature I was able to utilize. 

**What problems is Homecare Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use HCHB as a homecare PT. The software was the chosen documentation system for the homecare company I work for. As previously stated, while the system is very thorough, it is also very time consuming which can take away from patient interaction.

HCHB has given our company the ability to provide real-time data and in-depth reporting on our patients.  It provides our clinicians a simplified way to provide documentation and optimize scheduling.

You need to have a strong training team in place because the complexities of the system can be overwhelming at first.

Better patient care and real-time data updates.

Very strong accounting and billing. Payroll is EXTREMELY easy with this system, even with multiple types of pay.

Setup is intense. But that is a good thing.

Being able to setup multiple payment options for caregivers, including; per visit, salaried, multiple shifts, etc. Got rid of paper records.

The time of charting on patients increased three times what they were with Allscripts.

Everything, this is the worst software program I have ever used... The hospital I currently work at has a dos system so that is saying a lot!

Go with a better software

Bahaha they didn't ever teach our informatics people how to use the program before  implementing it.

Linear workflow provides stopgaps preventing human errors. 

**What do you dislike about Homecare Homebase?**

Ugly. Clunky. Linear screen flow makes chart navigation unbearable. Linear workflow means tasks can get stuck within a single role. Moving from a clinic with Epic to this system is a trial in patience. No auto syncing with mobile users.

Electronic patient records. Home health services.

This application is very user friendly in comparison with other applications of its kind.

It does not offer an audit trail so that everyone knows who made changes to the file.

This is a great program, however the design is somewhat antiquated and could benefit from an update.

You must address all items before locking visits which improves compliance with Medicare. Visits have large depth of items to address. In the back office, the work flow helps office staff stay on task and prioritize items. You can also run reports for almost anything! Helps to assess items objectively. 

**What do you dislike about Homecare Homebase?**

Not all visits are the same across disciplines, such as a PT 30 day reassessment does not have the same items as an OT 30 day reassessment.

Know in advance what features you would like and have teams ready to give you feedback immediately.

We are better able to compare time use across the board and give clinicians objective data for their hard work.

Task-based workflow, reporting functionality.

**What do you dislike about Homecare Homebase?**

Scheduling reports are lacking inability to see "the big picture" of all clinicians for the week. Buddy codes are tedious, should be a separate function instead of appearing as an additional "visit" (comments instead of buddy/medical treatment codes).

Streamlined office processes, less chance that something falls through the cracks due to workflow/tasks.

HCHB is user friendly.  If there is a kink that needs worked, there is always a team there to help.

Some of the fields with physician data is not yet a searchable field on a query

Smaller tablet, somewhat assists in keeping up with times in/out. gps on hand. 

**What do you dislike about Homecare Homebase?**

can only access patient info for the last 7 days.  only shows agent time tracker for the past 7 days. can't access patient info when you are on call on the weekends without the company laptop as well.  takes forever to chart a start of care.

from a managerial standpoint, it tracks worker time, location, etc.

**What do you like best about Homecare Homebase?**

It is easy to manage EVERYTHING. From billing to collections to patient management, to scheduling. 

**What do you dislike about Homecare Homebase?**

We had issues with Homecare Homebase freezing and locking on us more than I would have liked to see. 

**Recommendations to others considering Homecare Homebase:**

I recommend using it if you have medicare or managed care patients. It doesn't work as well for long term care patients, but it works GREAT for Skilled visits (SN, PT, OT, SLP, HHA, MSW). It also allows you to communicate with the field staff with ease. 

**What problems is Homecare Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to go entirely paperless within the company and manage patients from office to office. This also allowed the employees to stay home in inclement weather because we did not need patient charts in hand.
