What is HomeBudget used for?

I started using this a few years ago then for reasons I won't go into, I didn't follow through for very long. there is a limited time of months I may choose from 1 2 3 4 6 10 12 24 for example if need to use 8 months is it possible if yes please advise how to do it thank you in advance
