"Made our IoT integrations much easier to scale"
4.5/5
What do you like best about HiveMQ?

Most of my work involves connecting field devices with cloud applications so having a dependable messaging platform is essential. I've been using HiveMQ as the communication layer between IoT devices and cloud services. It has handled a growing number of client connections without affecting performance, and the MQTT implementation has been reliable for both telemetry and command messages. The platform also integrates well with cloud environments, which simplified our overall architecture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiveMQ?

The documentation is comprehensive, but it can take time to find information for more advanced deployment scenarios. I would also like more built-in operational dashboards instead of relying on external monitoring tools for some metrics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Scales Effortlessly Under Heavy Load with Seamless Clustering"
4.5/5
What do you like best about HiveMQ?

It's really all about scalability for us. We were running load test for new over the air update feature and i was honestly waiting for whole thing to crash. But HiveMQ just kept chugging along without breaking sweat. Clustering is phenomenal and we just spun up another node and it joined the party seamlessly. It handled backpressure from our downstream service gracefully too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiveMQ?

Complexity of security setup is what i keep tripping over. We wanted to implement pretty strict X.509 client certificate authentication but getting mapping and validation rule right was pain. Documentation covers it, but it's bit scattered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust IoT Communication with Easy Setup"
4.5/5
What do you like best about HiveMQ?

I like using HiveMQ as our central hub for MQTT broker because it provides secure and reliable communication between IoT devices and applications. The best part about it is handling real-time message communication and its AI feature, which adds a cherry on the top. I appreciate its easy-to-use UI, which is user-friendly even for newcomers to HiveMQ. There's an AI assistant to help if I face any errors, making the overall experience quite smooth. The initial setup is also simple, which is a big plus for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiveMQ?

Like overall experience of mine is good but one thing that I supposed to be improved is to provide some learning material for some features that are advanced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable MQTT Sessions and Outstanding App-to-App Connectivity"
5/5
What do you like best about HiveMQ?

There are so many parts I love about this platform. The best I love about this platform would be its reliable Message Queuing Telemetry Transport session. The ability for this platform to act as a connecting platform for multiple apps or programs is outstanding. This platform takes a critical role in organization by improving the connection between devices. The platform also have a user friendly interface. Other than this the documentation it provides within the platform is very helpful while using this platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiveMQ?

I love most part of this platform but I wish that the price was little bit high for smaller enterprise. Other than this the user needs to be trained for effective use of this platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MQTT platform that scales with your IoT projects"
5/5
What do you like best about HiveMQ?

HiveMQ has been one of the most reliable MQTT brokers we've used. Setting up secure connections was straightforward, and once everything was configured it required very little maintenance. It handles a high number of device connections without noticeable performance issues, and the monitoring tools make it easy to understand what's happening across the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiveMQ?

The initial learning curve can be a bit steep if you're new to MQTT or large-scale IoT deployments. Some advanced configuration options also require spending time with the documentation before you fully understand how everything fits together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable, Scalable MQTT Platform with Strong Security and Cloud Integrations"
4/5
What do you like best about HiveMQ?

it is reliable and scalable MQTT messaging platform that simplifies building IOT applications for Creators who are doing live stream on our platform. Its high availability, enterprise-grade security, MQTT 5 support, and seamless integrations with cloud services help ensure dependable device communication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiveMQ?

It doesn’t have a more modern, intuitive management interface, and navigating certain administrative tasks can take extra time. Also, licensing costs may be a consideration for smaller teams or startups. More flexible pricing options would make it accessible to a wider range of orgs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Rock-Solid Clustering and Shared Subscriptions for Total Peace of Mind"
5/5
What do you like best about HiveMQ?

Honestly, the biggest win for me is just the peace of mind. The clustering is so rock-solid that we never really worry about the system crashing.

Using their shared subscriptions feature has been a total game-changer compared to our old setup.

Connecting it to our existing company logins went super smooth. It’s just a great feeling knowing our whole data stream is secure, stable, and won't buckle under pressure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiveMQ?

When something does go wrong, the error messages it spits out are massive walls of text. It can be a real headache to read through and figure out what actually broke. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"HiveMQ Control Center: Powerful Diagnostics and Rock-Solid Broker Reliability"
4.5/5
What do you like best about HiveMQ?

HiveMQ Control Center is one of the most useful feature. It gives my team this detailed look at individual client behaviors. For eg we could actually see which specific hardware batches were causing latency spikes. It's like a high end diagnostic dashboard that also happens to be a very solid broker. We haven't had a single missing telemetry packet since the migration and that makes our dispatchers much happier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiveMQ?

In starting we actually struggled with the first cluster configuration especially around the security extension framework. It's very powerful don't get me wrong but the documentation feels a bit too technical like its written by engineers for engineers who already have a PhD in MQTT. "Clean, Professional MQTT Visibility for Real-Time Sensor Sync and Debugging"
4.5/5
What do you like best about HiveMQ?

We were dealing with a specific integration where thousands of sensors on the assembly line had to sync simultaneously and most brokers we've tried just choked. With HiveMQ Control Center i can actually see the client sessions in real time which made debugging our OpenFeign client connections to the backend way less of a guessing game. It feels clean and professional. Its Extension SDK let us build a custom bridge to our legacy monitoring system without having to hack the core logic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiveMQ?

We struggled with the XML based config at first because it's just so verbose. One tiny typo and the whole node refuses to join the cluster. I also wish the documentation had more real world examples for complex bridging scenarios instead of just the basic hello world stuff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential for Data Analysis with Great Flexibility"
5/5
What do you like best about HiveMQ?

I have used HiveMQ to analyze a large amount of data for personal AI tests and then use those insights to make decisions and write reports. I liked the option of running HiveMQ on my own infrastructure, which gave me plenty of control. I think $300/month was a fair price for self-hosting, and it was perfect for our test. The documentation is very helpful, and the customer support, as well as the community, are also very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiveMQ?

I think everything works well. The only frustrating thing is that some of the "cooler" features are locked behind the Enterprise plan, which I suppose is way more expensive than the Launch plan I used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
