"Good efficiency tool"
5/5
What do you like best about Hivel?

Hivel is in a new category of SaaS tools that are providing visibility into developer productivity. Setup is quick and tool is very easy to use. As a team lead I can run my daily standups using the tool and know what each team member has done exactly in a given period using data. Also, being able to see new work, rework and tech debt is really good to understand where team is spending their time. Ambarin and their entire team is extremely responsive and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hivel?

It's more of a management visibility tool. They can create some features that can be useful for individual developers. I've shared the feedback with their team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Showed immediate value fixing low hanging fruits in engg. efficiency"
5/5
What do you like best about Hivel?

While we started the whole exploration of engg. efficiency with skepticism, the insights from Hivel very quickly showed us low hanging fruits like open pull requests that were sitting there for a long time, and not on anyone's radar. We were able to clear cross team dependencies, push features to end users, and made internal rules to ensure no PR sits idle for more than a week. This allowed engineers to be happy ensuring their work goes to Prod and doesn't sit dark on their machines. This is one of many such examples where we saw huge improvements in engg. efficiency, and eventually bought positive morale to the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hivel?

It's a great product, and a fantastic way to look into engg. efficiency. More people need to be aware of such solutions, and use them to make the lives of engineering teams better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The number of metrics available to track the progress of a task is very useful.

I particularly go throgh the activity section often, its very good visually too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hivel?

Not a dislike, but good to have is to have a filter on commits, that is commits following a certain branching strategy should only be considered and not random abc commits, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
