As an employer, making sure your employees are productive is essential. Managing employees from home can be challenging since they do not have any direct supervision. Hivedesk helps us track our employee's productivity so that we can rest assured that everyone is functioning at their best! Hivedesk tracks keyboard clicks, mouse activity, and takes periodic screenshots. Idle time is recorded and we get a percentage of activity at the end of each day. Hivedesk said they typically see activity levels of about 85%, so based on the employee's role, we set productivity minimums. The screenshots can be blurred out so that you do not see any personal information, but it helps to see how long certain tasks are taking and if employees are working on the work at hand or not. The tracking is not demanding; it sets a very healthy working pace for our employees, all while helping our company stay in the know of our bottom line! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about HiveDesk? The only feature I would like to see is the ability to add a document to a task assignment. Most of our task assignments are documents or reports that need to be looked into and worked. Without this, the document has to be sent separately from the task assignment, which is a bit messy. I would also like to limit my manager from seeing employee wages. Currently we cannot use the wage area since we cannot create that restriction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering HiveDesk: We looked into HiveDesk's competitors. They are very expensive and involved. Employee productivity. We are able to set productivity minimums to ensure everyone is working at their fullest ability which helps us properly judge the workload and track our bottom line. The ability to monitor your team's progress at any time, being able to visualize their reports, activity and performance levels as well as the advancement of the tasks that have been set, all through an intuitive user interface with an easy handling for any type of user no matter if they've had or haven't had experience working with project management software, Hivedesk ensures that you increase the productivity of the entire team while maintaining a collaborative environment at all times. Even though the software offers a good list of metrics one of the things that it does not have is the function of viewing the logged hours regarding to a task or subtask, you only have to see these hours regarding the entire project. This would have been a great help to me to have an accurate idea of the progress that is made in more concrete activities and adapt the demands according to the data that I obtain from there. Recommendations to others considering HiveDesk: It is one of the software that is worth every penny, its functions of monitoring hours, taking screenshots of your employees' screens, reporting metrics and a whole series of functionalities that allow you to manage and measure the progress of your projects and maintain the overall productivity of the high team as you can lead and make decisions with a complete knowledge of where there is room for improvement and where there is optimal performance. I am a person who travels constantly for business reasons and I can not physically monitor the work of my employees during the week, so having a tool like this has helped me to determine how each of them is performing and acting faster where you think you need to increase your productivity and improve the deadlines of projects where they're working.
