What do you like best about Hive?
I have been a project manager for over 13 years and Hive is truly the best project management system out there, period. I have evaluated over 20 systems throughout my career, and nothing comes close to Hive. I love it's flexibility and intuitive nature, AND it's clean, modern design. I appreciate Hive because I am able to adapt each project based on the needs of the project team. I have never seen a system be so flexible. It can operate like Jira, with flexibility.
I don't think I could ever use another project management system after using Hive because there are intuitive features that I now come to rely on. There's simple things such as yellowing out dates on the calendar for holidays, and then there are major BRILLIANT features like the integration with Salesforce and automation.
Just a note on the integration with Salesforce, the way it is designed and is fantastic because you can seemlessly integration with Salesforce yourself. I do not need to bring an engineer to build something custom.
The team at Hive are always 20 steps ahead. They are frequently leasing new updates and building the system and every time there's a new release, it's like Christmas morning. The cool thing about the way they handle their releases is that I can review them on my own time. If I am swamped with a project, I can go back and read the release notes when I have a minute. Hive is also extremely thoughtful about HOW the releases are done. My system has never been interrupted because of one of their deployments, and their releases are done in such a way where I can choose to use them or not. So if my team won't use a feature or isn't ready for it, it doesn't impact our work, but is there should we ever try to use it.
I also want to champion the Hive staff specifically. They all are INCREDIBLE. The onboarding, account team, technical support, etc., Everyone is so friendly, professional, and on point. Hive is the gold standard for vendor partnerships, and again, this is another reason why I'd never be able to stop using Hive, I've gotten accustomed to such high quality and THOUGHTFUL support. The team at Hive are excellent thought partners and I can come to them any time with a question or idea and they partner with me to work through it.
It's difficult to simply state why I love Hive, so the above is just a snapshot. This system is MASSIVE, but not in an overwhelming way. I always like to say, you can choose your adventure with Hive, and it's so true. My colleagues and partners across the org are able to use Hive in a way that meets their individual needs, and yet, we are all in a project management system that allows us to work together, even if our individual work flows differ a bit. THAT is a major win. No other system can do that, and that is one of the biggest things that sets Hive apart from the rest of the crowd. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Hive?
Honestly, it's a perfect system. I am not bias, but I can't actually think of something I dislike about Hive. They have an amazing setup that allows me and other users to post questions and recommendations, and since starting with Hive (almost 3 years ago) I have seem a number of my feature requests implemented. What more can I ask from a partner? The systems not buggy, the Hive team communicates if there are down times or bugs (which is RARE and my teams workflow has NEVER been impacted by this), so I honestly can't pick out something to dislike.
