There are many features like text to image or relief, which I really liked. I used this tool to transform an old drawing into a 3D model for printing later. The model was clean, nothing to say. Same thing for all the tests I conducted, nothing to say. **What do you dislike about Hi3D?** Unfortunately, I found the model generation in "Quality" mode particularly long. On the tool, it is stated to take an average of 5 minutes, but I have sometimes counted double that time. The model is indeed much better than in "Fast" mode, but it's frustrating to have to wait several long minutes, even without texture. **What problems is Hi3D solving and how is that benefiting you?** I saw that Hi3D had added the possibility to print the generated model in multiple parts, which is convenient for figurines. They have kept a fast pace in adding in new features and have a good focus on the 3D printing community, and have added a lot of features which are 3D print-focused. Their UI is relatively straightforward and is intuitive. They have integrations with many 3D printers, allowing you to export your model directly onto the print slicer. It's pretty easy to get started and onboarding doesn't take too long, as there are a lot of already-built models for you to explore as you get used to the interface. The AI model behind the software is very good at interpreting images and the resulting 3D models have a lot of detail. Their texture generation is on point as well. **What do you dislike about Hi3D?** I think one of the areas where Hi3D can improve is their credit system. They have an expiry where if you dont use up your credits by the end of the month they get expired. I don't think its a very good system at all. It's antiquated and not very forgiving if you are working on another part of your project where model generation is not currently necessary. Another area of improvement is performance for generating models. Often times the generation can take a very long time when using the Quality mode. While that's to be expected, its still a lot to wait if you are trying to test out different source materials. The Quick mode is better, but you often want to test with Quality mode to make sure that any artifacts seen in Quick mode are not due to the source material vs. the AI model used. Having said all that, the output and features of Hi3D are good enough to accept these drawbacks, knowing that the team listens and continues to improve the product. Hopefully these issues are addressed in the near future. **What problems is Hi3D solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having working models throughout a project is great, not just for prototyping, but also for experimentation and creating final production assets. Generating FBX file took minute instead of day it usually takes me to sculpt base model. **What do you dislike about Hi3D?** Visual fidelity is great ai tends to generate incredibly dense sometimes messy polycount. When you export OBJ or FBX straight into Blender for rigging, I always have to spend couple of hour doing manual retopology so character actually deforms correctly when they walk or fight. **What problems is Hi3D solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Hi3D to instantly translate our lead designer weird, stylized monster sketch into 360 degree blockout.
