"Set It Up Once, Then Let Automation Handle Screening and Interview Scheduling"
4/5
What do you like best about Hireology?

Once you take the time to set it up, create screening questions, and automate some of the screening and appointment setting, you don’t have to check it every day. You can let the system handle most of the screening and contacting of applicants, and it will set interviews for you. You can always go back and see if anyone fell through the cracks, then contact them yourself if you’re not getting enough interviews booked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hireology?

Last time I checked you cannot create and anonymous add. Also if there was a way that when the same applicant applies to more than one position if there was a summary tied to that person so you can see the results of any interviews, tags or notes without having to switch between each job posting/ Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very User Friendly"
5/5
What do you like best about Hireology?

Hireology is an effective applicant tracking system that streamlines the hiring process with its user-friendly interface. It simplifies job postings across multiple platforms, making it easier to attract a diverse pool of candidates. The platform's robust analytics tools provide valuable insights into hiring trends and candidate engagement, helping recruiters make informed decisions. Additionally, the collaborative features allow team members to share feedback and ratings seamlessly. Overall, Hireology is a solid choice for businesses looking to enhance their recruitment efforts and improve hiring efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hireology?

As a company, we have multiple steps in the candidate movement process that we choose not to utilize through Hireology, such as the testing option. Even though I deselect certain steps when posting a job, the monthly reports still indicate that candidates have skipped steps in the workflow. This can make it challenging to get an accurate representation of our hiring process. It would be beneficial if the system could better align the reporting with our custom workflow preferences. What do you dislike about Hireology?

There are some limitations on what the program can do, such as having a more robust career site available. The could also offer more in depth reporting . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Candidate Tracking and Communication with a User-Friendly Drag-and-Drop Workflow"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Hireology?

The ease with which we can track a candidate's progress and communicate with them. We know exactly where each candidate is in regard to our hiring path. The drag and drop features are so user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hireology?

It can be challenging moving between candidates. If you are reviewing and updating status on more than one candidate it feels a little clunky moving to another candidate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Hiring with Seamless Candidate Sourcing"
5/5
What do you like best about Hireology?

I like that Hireology is very easy to use, which makes posting job postings and navigating the system a breeze. I use it for sourcing candidates and handling postings efficiently. I can easily switch candidates from hired to not hired. It's a standout because it can post to different career sites effortlessly, saving me a lot of time. The customer service representatives are very accommodating, and they provided a proper step-by-step process that made setting up my account easy. The staff is great to talk with, which made the initial setup smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hireology?

I don't think about it much, but maybe the duplicate application checking could be improved. Sometimes there are applicants who have applied before, but the system doesn't seem to catch these duplications effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Hiring Platform with Seamless Communication"
5/5
What do you like best about Hireology?

I use Hireology for all of my hiring needs, and I enjoy that it is as helpful as you want to make it. I like that I can include specific people on certain jobs, see who has looked at what resumes and at what rate, which makes communication seamless with potential new employees. It's valuable to me because I can have an overview of what's going on, while my managers for specific departments can see who has applied, allowing them to offer helpful insights and reviews in the hiring process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hireology?

I haven't come across anything major, the only improvement I could see are minor bug fixes or when the website is down. Sometimes it seems as if the website won't load and I cannot get into certain parts of the website that I may need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kenley Sweet of Hireology

Hi Emily,

We're thrilled to hear that you find Hireology helpful for your hiring needs and that it provides seamless communication with potential employees. Thank you for sharing your positive experience!

"Streamlined Hiring Process, Easy Multi-Location Use"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Hireology?

I really appreciate how Hireology keeps everything in one system. It's easy to track candidates from application to interview to hire, which is especially convenient for managing multiple store locations. I also like that we can share candidates who could potentially work in different locations. The real-time tracking feature is great because it allows managers, the HR department, and even the owner to stay on the same page, preventing anything from falling through the cracks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hireology?

For new managers in training, it can be confusing at first. Some features aren't clearly labeled. It's sometimes hard to search candidates, even by name it can be hard to locate. The filters and sorting options are kind of limited. Teaching managers and other associates how to begin using it was a bit of a struggle, and some employees struggle at first to navigate candidates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kenley Sweet of Hireology

Hi Tiffany,

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We're glad to hear that you find Hireology's streamlined hiring process and multi-location use beneficial for your business. We appreciate your feedback about the initial learning curve and the search functionality. We're continuously working to improve user experience and make the platform more intuitive for all users.

"Flexible Tracking but Needs Faster Updates"
3/5
What do you like best about Hireology?

I use Hireology as an applicant tracking system to conduct pre-screenings in our hiring process. I like the ease of posting jobs on Hireology. I find it valuable being able to share a link of the job, and the different status options available when posting a job, such as public and internal, which provides flexibility to attract applicants to our site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hireology?

The timeframe for job postings and updates is too long. The editing feature when posting a job is limited. There are challenges with the background/drug test platform, and the search for skill sets is limited. Posting updates sometimes show an old version online instead of the updated version. The Accurate Background feature doesn't update results accordingly and sometimes provides vague status. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kenley Sweet of Hireology

Hi Karen,

We're glad to hear that you find Hireology's job posting flexibility valuable for your hiring process. We appreciate your feedback about the need for faster updates and improvements to the editing feature. We'll take this into consideration for future updates. Thank you for your thoughtful feedback.

"Hireology Streamlines Hiring End-to-End with Better Collaboration and Candidate Experience"
5/5
What do you like best about Hireology?

Hireology is a helpful tool because it brings the entire hiring process into one centralized, easy-to-manage platform. It reduces the administrative burden on HR and hiring leaders by streamlining job postings, applicant tracking, interview scheduling, and candidate communication, allowing teams to focus more on selecting the right people rather than managing paperwork.

The platform also improves the candidate experience through timely, automated communication that keeps applicants informed and engaged throughout the hiring process. This is especially valuable in competitive labor markets, as it helps reduce candidate drop-off and strengthens the organization’s employer brand.

Hireology expands recruiting reach by distributing job postings across multiple job boards and supporting proactive engagement with both active and passive candidates. This increases both the volume and quality of applicants while helping organizations fill open positions more efficiently and reduce time-to-hire.

From a leadership perspective, Hireology supports consistency and collaboration by giving hiring teams a shared space to review candidates, document feedback, and apply standardized evaluation practices. Built-in reporting and analytics provide visibility into key hiring metrics, enabling data-driven decisions and continuous improvement of recruitment strategies.

Finally, Hireology supports onboarding and post-hire processes, helping new employees transition smoothly into their roles while reducing delays and errors. Overall, the platform strengthens hiring outcomes by improving efficiency, consistency, and the overall experience for both candidates and hiring teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hireology?

While Hireology offers many benefits, there are some limitations organizations should consider. One common challenge is the learning curve for hiring managers who are less comfortable with technology. Without consistent training and reinforcement, some users may underutilize features or revert to off-platform workarounds, reducing overall effectiveness.

The platform can also feel somewhat rigid for organizations with highly customized or complex hiring workflows. Certain processes, approval chains, or reporting needs may not align perfectly with how Hireology is structured, requiring adaptation rather than full customization.

Cost is another consideration, particularly for smaller organizations or those with tight margins. Subscription fees, add-on features, and integrations can add up, and the return on investment is most noticeable when the platform is used consistently and at scale.

Some users note limitations in reporting depth or flexibility, especially when trying to extract highly specific or ad hoc data. While standard metrics are useful, advanced analytics may require additional effort or external tracking.

Finally, like any centralized system, Hireology’s effectiveness depends heavily on timely data entry and user engagement. Delays in updating candidate statuses or inconsistent communication can negatively impact the candidate experience and reduce the platform’s intended efficiency gains. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
