on a Mac sometimes the extension freezes, and upon startup, it loads and does not automatically minimize. Could be a setting that I have yet to turn off. the extension does not remember my default set up always asking me to select screen, camera, or both. needs to be a setting to remember the last use. I initially bought this product to make take screen vids and make training vids for a new software product, which is awesome... but there is so much more. I`m now working on some demo vids to send directly via email and add to our website. I`m still learning but I`m very happy with my purchase to date.

I like that there are many integration options with hippo. For one, the option to add a plug-in for Chrome browser and record videos easily without needing to open hippo every time. Our team also uses Hubspot and Intercom and we have integrated Hippo into both of these apps and makes it easier for us to access our recorded videos / embed videos into our emails Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Editing a video is a little challenging - while I do like the options that are available, it takes a while to figure out what to click / understand how to use the editing tools. The preview screen of the video is also really small - so when I'm trying to do a voice over and see what is happening in the video - it's hard to see and so makes it a little more challenging to add my voice over in. I think in terms of quality of videos creation, it's one of the best and the onboarding process was super quick and easy with a lot of (not necessary) support and team coaching. Had I never used another service prior, I would have greatly enjoyed this onboarding process.

I find the whole video viewing page shows nice features but the whole integration process of it is rather lengthy.

The video sort area is also cumbersome and thought to navigate. It's cool that we can create folders and whatnot, but every time I want to share a video, they AGAIN ask me for the email information. There should be an easy access button when you click "share now" is JUST for sharing right away, not to share via email and all other integrations.

The onboarding process was a few hours too long. It should have been tailored to our team based on the fact that we used other similar products in the past.

It's also easy to get lost in all the different integrations and capabilities. This product should just be simpler, like why do I need all these buttons? Can't I just choose what I want to have on my dashboard instead? Why is it all hardcoded in, make it more user-friendly and customizable!

Hippo video helps me to create highly interactive, attention-grabbing videos right where I need them... in LinkedIn messages, in my email inbox--wherever I may need it! The interface is highly intuitive and with the Chrome extension and desktop app available to me, it's extremely simple to get started. I'm also really happy with how responsive customer support has been. Anytime that I've run into a question, they are swift to answer. I love all the different plans and that the free plan allows you to save an unlimited amount of 15-minute videos. They have different price plans for all your needs.
