What do you like best?

The "ask me" icon at the top right of the screen ensure you are stuck at any time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The priority sometimes don't fit into the contractual SLAs.

The least priority for demand work order is 1 day, whereas, in reality, emergency work orders should be resolved within hours, say, 5 hours Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Parts can be easily found with only some information. Other users in the plant can submit a WO request and after my approval it is generated and assigned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The WO closing process could be simpler. The reports are good but it seems like it could be more intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It is simpler and less expensive than a lot of other systems. It meets the needs of the maintenance department without making it more complicated than it needs to be. You can easily attach photos and files to the work orders adding clarity to the task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As with many PM programs we have seen several cases of the longer term wear items not falling through the cracks. Annual glue filter changes, for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The server got down once, the training is in english a little difficult for latinamerica market. Must to know english, need a good internet bandwich, don't have international standard KPIs like mtf.

What do you like best?

What I found most convenient is that I could explain what outcomes I needed during the onboarding/training phase and they would adjust the settings for me. They helped simplify the process for submitting maintenance requests so folks outside of the maintenance department could submit location tagged requests with 5 minutes of training. What do you dislike?

I wish there was an app with push notifications. Cell service is limited at my site so navigating the website via phone is not ideal and our techs don't spend much time near a computer. Right now they have to check their emails for updates which is not ideal. If they would get updates via push notifications when they were in wifi range it would cut down on travel time between the field and the office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The main thing we gained when switching to hippo was the ability to auto-generate reminders for time based maintenance and to communicate more specifically with people about the status of their requests. What do you like best?

Being able to keep track of all of our company assets in one place and being able to track them together in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Not being able to see dates for things when I run reports. My boss likes to see exact dates for some work orders and I can only see them if I look at the individual equipment history instead of making a report for it. If there is a way to run reports and being able to see dates I would love to be contacted to find out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It works best for larger companies/enterprises. We are a small business that prefers to see the up most specifics like dates for everything but can not. Other than that it is pretty great being able to see all of the different assets that we have. Equipment, tools, parts, even our walkie talkies are in the system. What do you like best?

It's pretty easy to use

The Tech Support is always there.

Unlimited Document space makes easier to centralize all the info for the asset in one place

Unlimited Users, I don't need it but it's always good.

The export option gives you all the data that you need for your customized reports.

Been Online can be accessed from any platform with internet

Sometimes it's too basic and the customization is almost 0.

There are still bugs on standard operations.

First, it's pretty easy to follow the cost expenses from here the decision makes it's terribly fast to take it.

Second, the inventory cost is pretty easy to track.

What do you like best?

This software is an easy to use overall good CMMS software for the price. It helped solve the issue of tracking and logging work using excel or paper which tended to get lost and not kept up on. This software solves that issue and makes work tracking much easier and seamless. It helps track parts, current work orders, past work, and hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The parts area of the program is lacking some functionality. It would be nice to have a PO system within the program that more expensive programs have. This would allow user to know what parts have been ordered, what parts are being delivered, and what parts have been received. The part history is lacking some functionality as well. It would be nice to easily pull a part and see when the last inventory check was performed and or adjusted, when the parts where used on what piece of equipment and by who/what work order used this part, and when parts were last received or ordered. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This helped solve the problem are using paper for our work tracking. Since we are a food manufacturing facility we need to easily be able to pull up work history on equipment and track preventative maintenance. This solved that problem and allowed us to easily implement a preventative maintenance program within our facility. The mobile app allows us to easily pull up manuals on when we are standing right next to the equipment which eliminates the need to have several copies of manuals throughout the facility. We are also seeing where we dedicate maintenance hours on what piece of equipment which has allowed us to justify purchasing new equipment Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Once setup system is able to simple for teams to input new work order! it is simple to log in.

I am able to smart phone to log in any where because we use cloud based. we are able export into excel spread sheet to share data. the ability to log in any where with any web based electronic device connected to net is great. the connection even work on cell data editing work orders and smart device layout makes simple to scroll work orders. It does not have a simple way to mass edit work orders or jobs. I perfer to edit from a spread sheet as a administration user.

not always easy to upload new equipment have not understood the proper ladder of how to load locations and or organized naming of equipment roll out

What do you like best?

You can have unlimited users. We have many part time employees at each branch, and every director has their own log in. The program is simple and very easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The best feature of Hippo is it's many features. The abilities to enter pictures and documents specific to each machine, to house Lockout/Tagout procedures and control inventory, along with many other capabilities, add a lot of value to this program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I am still getting a lot of what Hippo likes to call Hiccups but most of them work themselves out in a short time. The more challenging issues are generally worked out in a day or two.

Another frustrating issue relates to the status of the work order. Primarily status updates are designed for the maintenance person but occasionally managers and executives need to act. When this happens, the work order is placed in a 'Pending Review' status. When the managers are unable or unwilling to act promptly it send the work order into an overdue status which makes the technician look bad. The only fix is for the technician to continuously update the due dates which takes up time most technician could spend in better ways. It would be nice if the due date automatically updated when the work order is placed on Hold or Pending Review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

i like that you can make an associate work order, but i don't like that you have to re-type everything on the associate work order. It is user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't like that when in the middle of generating a work order and you want to make a duplicate you have to close completely out of the current one to go to another work order. What do you like best?

What do you like best?

That the program allows for so much growth and potential in our day to day operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

A lot of the things we disliked were fixed. I am having issues with pulling accurate reports and having them emailed to me. The amount of work orders are not lining up with the actual work load per person. So I can easily overload a resource. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Hippo is still a great value and consistently growing and developing in the right direction. Great tech support and customer service. By switching to Hippo, as a maintenance department , we have gone from constantly putting out fires and dealing with emergencies to maintaining a proper PM Schedule and almost no emergencies. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are solving asset tracking and cost management on equipment, Invoice tracking and discrepancies per work order, and also exploring the inventory management and how we can better track our inventory per work order. This all around is helping us with a faster turn over in our work orders because parts are available and we can better asses if we need replace a piece of equipment of fix it. What do you like best?

It's an easy to use interface, Straightforward way of entering work orders and the support I've gotten when we did have issues was excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The barcode system is a little tough to use on my mobile device, and when we go to enter work orders on the mobile device it doesn't show all the fields without clicking a drop down bar so some people don't fill out the required sections and the work order won't save. We purchased the system to centralize our maintenance department, to make all of our records accessible from one location and to better alert our team when PM's are required. What do you like best?

My favorite part of Hippo is the database of extensive training materials. It really helps get all the users up to speed. The interface for the program is very clean and easy to understand. There is a huge amount of flexibility in how you can choose to set it up and use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I really wish they had a proper mobile app. The web based interface is fine on a pc but is lacking on a mobile device. Editing the various fields within the program is not always straight forward and the way to save changes is not the most consistent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Keeping track of non frequent maintenance tasks is a big benefit. That along with maintaining a historical record of our equipment maintenance are the biggest items for us. Being able to share parts inventories is important for us so that we can work as a collective and not have an unnecessary amount of cash tied up in our parts.
