"Developer-friendly onboarding with clear modules, SDK guidance, and sample code"
4/5
What do you like best about Hightouch?

What I like best about Hightouch is that..

- The tool is actually easy to understand and work with, even if you are new to this kind of setup.

- The overall flow feels simple and not overcomplicated.

- Each integration is clearly separated into modules, and every module explains step by step what needs to be done in a seperate "Setup" field.

- This makes the onboarding much smoother compared to some other tools.

- Another good thing is that Hightouch clearly mentions which SDK needs to be used, it's link and how exactly it should be integrated into the code.

- The presence of sample code really helps, especially when you want to quickly test or validate the integration.

- You don’t need to guess much or search outside for examples.

- Also, showing the writer key and API key directly in the UI is very helpful, since these are the main things needed while integrating.

Overall, it feels developer friendly and straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hightouch?

One thing I don’t really like about Hightouch is..

- The limitation on event visibility.

- Only the latest 100 events are shown for each event source, which can be restrictive in many cases.

- Most of the time, when debugging or analyzing data issues, we want to look at older or historical events to understand patterns or failures.

- Because of this restriction, it becomes difficult to trace issues that happened earlier.

- If the event you’re looking for is not part of the last 100, then you don’t really have visibility inside the tool itself.

This makes troubleshooting a bit harder and sometimes forces you to rely on other systems or logs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowers Personalization with Swift, Efficient Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Hightouch?

I use Hightouch for all our personalization efforts, from audience building to activating across the entire omnichannel. I really appreciate how it eliminates the need for heavy engineering support and simplifies system monitoring. This allows for faster operations and a focus on high-impact priorities. The tech is great and works well, but what I like the most is the people that support us—they're great to work with. The tech support responds within minutes for any requests our team has and understands our needs without needing much explanation. The data sync feature is particularly valuable; it makes technical tasks easy, even for non-technical people—it's like an easy button. The initial setup was very easy, completed within a week. What do you dislike about Hightouch?

It's a choose your own adventure with the platform which makes it super flexible but that flexibility can lead to over engineering quickly. Would be great to have designed patterns in the platform that can be reused from org to org. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Data Sync, but Costly for Small Teams"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Hightouch?

I like how simple it is to write SQL queries and map them to properties or events in Hightouch. It makes handling databases with hundreds of thousands of rows much easier because I can import only the changes that are needed, which saves time and effort. The integration process is quick, allowing us to ship new integrations fast and securely. Additionally, using custom variables and business logic for segmentation directly from our databases makes the process seamless and consistent. The initial setup was very simple and easy, and I got it done within a day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hightouch?

Limited use for Free Tier. Unless you are ready to commit over $400/month for just a couple of connections, it's very expensive and the free tier is now very restrictive, only allowing you to run 2 syncs continuously. The recently downgraded the Free Tier use. It used to allow up to 25 syncs monthly from basic tools like Google Sheets, but now it limits you to run a maximum of 2 syncs before having to fully upgrade. At the added monthly costs, it's almost not worth it and would recommend building in-house vs using the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Data Syncing with Outstanding Support (shoutout to Tyler Knight)"
5/5
What do you like best about Hightouch?

I really appreciate the customer support for Hightouch, especially when it comes to getting data from point A to point B. Talonight was particularly helpful for figuring out APIs, documentation, and what it takes to transfer information from one source to another. The human support via Slack is super responsive and prompt, which has meant a lot to me and my team. I also enjoy the customization features and the ability to allow access controls, role-level security, and other elements, so that Hightouch works effectively for me. The initial setup was ready to go from day one, and in terms of the setup and implementation, it was as simple as I can remember. The customer support has been world-class, with responsiveness and letting me know when something has a solution, along with providing different options and only closing the ticket when I confirm everything is good to go. Shout out to Tyler Knight, my customer success engineer; I appreciate working with you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Actionable Insights That Help Me Work Faster"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Hightouch?

It creates insights that I can action upon immediately and it helps me do my work faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hightouch?

Sometimes the agent will make incorrect assumptions that I will have to identify and change, so that it calculates things correctly in the future. I dislike when it makes assumptions when I am not aware of them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowers AI Decisioning with Near Real-Time Data"
5/5
What do you like best about Hightouch?

I really like Hightouch's combination of great support and a fast-evolving product. The team is very responsive and hands-on during implementations and experiments. The platform keeps shipping meaningful features, especially around AI Decisioning. On the support side, the team is very close to us, reviewing queries, debugging performance issues, and suggesting best practices. They are also very quick and effective in answering our questions. The AI Decisioning capabilities were powerful enough to increase new account activations by around 30%. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hightouch?

Performance on very large queries can be a bit of a pain. For heavy workloads, like hundreds of millions of rows, we sometimes see long runtimes, and it requires collaborative tuning with our data team. It would be helpful to have built-in query optimization patterns and proactive hints in the UI. Also, for runs that exceed a certain duration, a more detailed breakdown of which step or subquery dominated the time would be beneficial. The initial setup was also a bit challenging, especially with the first connection to our Databricks warehouse. Getting the right permissions and access roles for Hightouch to read necessary schemas and tables was the most complex part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowers Our Datalake with Seamless Data Activation"
5/5
What do you like best about Hightouch?

I use Hightouch as my main data collection and CDP platform, and I love how it serves as a powerful connector for activating data to Meta, Google, Adobe, and other vendors. I appreciate that it brings customer data directly into my datalake in Databricks in real time, which avoids the creation of data silos and allows me to activate that data easily; it's like giving superpowers to my datalake. The platform complies well with cybersecurity requirements, which is critical for Financial Services, and supports IP whitelisting, private link for data connections, and access management through SSO with SCIM provisioning. I find it easy to use, and I'm happy with how the pricing scales, so it doesn't become a huge cost issue. Additionally, I enjoy that the team is very open to suggestions and feature requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hightouch?

They are still growing their destination connectors, so sometimes I miss them. Also, directly connecting incoming events to a destination is possible but could be easier to do. If I want to connect incoming Hightouch events to a destination (say, Meta) I usually have to ingest such events into my datalake, and then do a reverse ETL to bring it to Meta. I would like to have a native way to bring events directly into Meta, skipping the delay of ingesting them to the datalake before doing a rETL. Easy in general, but it was a bit painful to set up private links with our Azure environment. It looks like AWS support is easier than Azure to be done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A great tool that lets you set up low or no code syncs"
5/5
What do you like best about Hightouch?

I like the fact that despite the recent marketing-AI shift, the data sync product stayed the same and still easy to use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hightouch?

Nothing in particular, but it does seem like the main target audience changed. So far this has not had any bad consequences for the data users Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Top-Tier Alerting and Detailed Logs for Reverse ETL Syncs"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Hightouch?

The alerting is top tier for reverse ETL syncs. Unlike some other reverse ETL tools, Hightouch surfaces detailed error and provides detailed logs to help you troubleshoot sync issues when they arise.

The wide variety of sources for reverse ETL syncs makes it easy for me to move data where I need for various audiences. For example: CRM software, customer service support ticket software, instant messaging apps (Hightouch can post CSVs of synced data!), marketing platforms, etc.

For our non-technical colleagues, the UI makes it very easy for them to create audiences and segments with 0 code/sql . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hightouch?

The UI has a few unintuitive things, but they are easy to navigate around with some familiarity. It fundamentally has two major features, reverse ETL (for engineers) and audience building (no code), that you kind of need to treat as two different products. For example: you may need to create the same model in both sections of the website to make it available to each. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Its seamless data synching and comprehensive features have greatly streamlined our operations."
5/5
What do you like best about Hightouch?

It's simple to use, provides comprehensive log of updates and errors which make it really simple to troubleshoot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hightouch?

When 1 field was not mapped into warehouse column, the whole sync failed without giving any error. We only found it days later which caused disruptions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
