I like the way HT does error handling. When creating a custom endpoint for a sync, like a cloud function/lambda/etc, I can define how HT will deal with exceptions. If I surface them to HT one way, HT will automatically retry that sync (if I configure the sync to do that). If surfaced a different way, there will just be a message associated with that record, and the sync will not be retried. This has been helpful in a recent project where many syncs need to be constructed and tested without spamming me with nuisance sync errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Hightouch? My typical development pattern is to create a model in HT using straight SQL, build a sync, test, and later create a dbt model. It would be nice if I could easily transition the existing sync to the new model. But since a sync is a child of a model, I have to create a new sync. The "Edit as JSON" button is useful for this, but it would be ideal to just swap the model without rebuilding the sync. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Hightouch solving and how is that benefiting you? My company has multiple third-party and in-house applications that share data. Reports need to be generated that inclue multiple data sources. We have selected a data warehouse architecture, where data flows into the warehouse from all applications. HT allows data to flow from the warehouse to individual applications (which need to share data with each other). With the HighTouch tool, we can enhance data by establishing data governance across the entire company. We believe that there is room for improvement in the range of available destination connectors. The tool itself works very well. We use it to sync data to Salesforce and Hubspot from our data warehouse, and it does that job with ease. One of the things I have been most impressed with is the customer support experience. I don't need to use the support a lot, but it is very smooth when I do. Their support reps are available in my company slack as a connected channel. Tickets can be created directly from slack and all updates are received through that medium. I love it! They also support a few free connectors which we didn't notice until after we signed the contract, and they were a big help or us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Hightouch? Organization within the app gets a little tricky as lots of pipelines get built. We built a lot of business logic in our data warehouse, and needed ways to share the output of that business logic with the company, specifically in Sales and Marketing. As I moved away from an all-in-one CDP solution, the integration of Hightouch was instrumental in helping us make the data warehouse become the "real" source of truth. It has allowed us to be more flexible in the data that we can send to third-party systems as well as back into our application database, which is the true operationalization of data that we needed. Even more so, when we have any form of hiccups in our distribution the team at Hightouch almost feels like they are just another department within our organization. They answer every issue, nearly immediately, and handle it like it the most important thing, even when it's a mistake on our part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Hightouch? I am not a fan of writing a "non-answer" to a question, but I honestly can't think of anything that I dislike. What do you dislike about Hightouch? Once I add some syncs and models, it's easy to forget about them over time. When we release a new feature, we can build several data syncs ahead of time that pull some success metrics into different sub-sheets or a Google spreadsheet. I like how easy it is to set up - less than 20 minutes to get it integrated with Snowflake, and get our first model and syncs up and running. I guess a few more connectors available for the longer tail of our business source app usage, especially in the HR space (i.e. BambooHR, Lever). But other than that, not much to dislike. Syncng to salesforce from a variety of sources without having to build the system is very efficient. This means you can standup a system to have active viable data with error handling, while you can either build out your own system, or focus on providing value. It costs more money than building things yourself, however in the short run less money than paying someone to build you a system. It would be nice for built-in bidirectional sync to SFDC, that would really be a gamechanger for a lot of people and directly compete with the wildly overpriced "Heroku Connect" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Easy to pull data out of Salesforce with AWS products, but pushing it back in isn't as easy or efficient, not to mention HighTouch handles the database diffing so you only push data that has changed recently. Very intuitive UX, with constant updates that improve the user experience.
