We can even say many positive things about him, because through Hightail we can easily transport large documents to others remotely. A file can be uploaded for approval, and the reviewer can digitally add comments and markup sections of a file that require review. Now this can be done on paper with a pen for images and text files, however the real powerhouse is the ability to do this with video files. Along with the wide range of file type reviews and large file size handling, the platform is also great with review accountability as there is now a digital record **What do you dislike about OpenText Hightail?** Honestly I have only one gripe with the platform, but it is a big one. The tool only allows files to be cloud hosted or stored in large dumps or spaces. There is no traditional folder structure type architecture which would allow for far stronger organization. I can send an extensive mp3 file, a video in Mp4 in excellent quality or simply images in high resolution that are often used to make some advertising design of our company. Hightail offers a simple and very clean interface. The learning curve of this software is not very steep. It is relatively economical compared to other softwares of its kind. It's also easy to get going. Uploading the file and then sharing via email is all you have to do. The user interface on the user end is really simple to use as well. The other big reason I use Hightail over Dropbox or any other file sharing program is because of the unlimited space. Limitless space is a huge win for us as it gives us and the customer open availability to share whatever size file we need to. Outside of that, we have never had any real issues with uploading or downloading ourselves. It's been and continues to be a great system to use in our small company. **What do you dislike about OpenText Hightail?** I think the guest experience could be improved, sometimes customers don't understand how to upload or download files and that takes more time on my end to explain how it works. When a guest receives an email, there is too much distraction. Clean it up a bit and show them directly how to download a file. That's my biggest issue - trying to get someone to download a file without issue. One of the benefits is the client can just download with out having to populate a form with all sorts of personal information. Additionally when I send a file I can immediately get a copy of the download link and email that to others or to the recipient explaining what has been uploaded. Another benefit is that I can email my client a link to upload files to me taking the place of having to maintain my own ftp site. The Hightail platform is USER FRIENDLY for both my staff and my clients staff. I also slightly prefer the functionality of the old Hightail Express app to the Hightail Spaces app. Another bummer is that when someone comments on a video for feedback (when there are multiple video files in an upload) that you do not keep them all together. File sizes are also larger than comparable file sharing sites, so much better for projects with large file sizes.
