Ease of use, ability to take my old scripts in PDF format and convert them into editable documents - as well as output them to Final Draft. Highland 2 is a nice addition to my screenwriting software stable. I use it as an add-on for Final Draft. At some point, it might replace it -- but, at the moment, it's an addendum. Final Draft has a cleaner look that I prefer -- but I still find myself using Highland more than I original envisioned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Highland 2: For newbies, Highland 2 will probably suffice as screenwriting software. For us old-timers, who've been using Final Draft for many years, it still doesn't fulfill all the needs of a screenwriter. That said, it is an improvement on Highland. Importing PDFs is the main reason I bought the app. I also like the watermark feature and the ability to output in both PDF and Final Draft format (Still essential for film and television production companies). The ability to export the document as .fdx and have it show up totally normal in Final Draft 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Highland 2? It's hard to switch between Highland 2 and Final Draft 10. While Highland 2 is aesthetically pleasing in font and general look, I think that Final Draft 10's spacing is better. It's unfortunate that more schools and companies don't encourage you to use Highland 2. It's a very pretty, comforting, and non-distracting application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Highland 2: You can just copy the PDF into a Highland 2 document but you CANNOT copy the Highland 2 document into a Final Draft 10 document. This program once saved me during my graduate studies. I had accidentally deleted an .fdx of my 90+ page script and only kept the PDF. This program allowed me to convert from PDF to .fdx.
