They actually fixed this issue. In my recent interaction with them, they had some one from the data team pull the data and aggregate it per my specifications. Super cool!

  ### 2. Granular Technographics That Supercharge ABM Targeting and Lead Quality

**What do you like best about HG Insights?**

The granular technographic data has been a game-changer for my integrated campaigns. Rather than relying on generic targeting, I can segment audiences based on their actual tech installs and IT spend, which makes my ABM outreach feel far more personalized and relevant. It’s also saved me hours of manual research and has directly improved our lead quality, because we’re finally speaking to each prospect’s specific environment.

**What do you dislike about HG Insights?**

The platform is incredibly powerful, but the UI can feel a bit overwhelming at first because of the sheer volume of data available. As a result, I often have to ask for custom report pulls. It took our team some time to learn how to filter out the noise and build the specific reports we needed for our campaigns. I’d love to see more pre-built templates or guided workflows designed specifically for marketers, so we can get to the “aha” moment even faster.

**What problems is HG Insights solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were struggling with broad, inefficient targeting that wasted ad spend on accounts that simply weren’t a fit. HG Insights addressed this by giving us a clear view of each prospect’s existing tech stack, which let us segment our integrated campaigns with far more precision. Now we can quickly identify high-propensity accounts, and we’ve seen a significant reduction in cost per lead along with much stronger resonance from our personalized messaging.

**What do you like best about HG Insights?**

We like the product ratings, detailed product/software reviews and details that are available through HG Insights. It's easy to use and manage from our side. We use it every week to cultivate new references and content.

**What do you dislike about HG Insights?**

There are some challenges on the back end of the vendor portal that make it hard to get all the data. We don't have access to the full review content unless we ask for it. We also cannot manage our incentive balance through it which causes slowdowns.

**What problems is HG Insights solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps deliver differentiation in the market for our solution. We have a saturated market and it helps us get authentic, detailed client reviews  which are a huge benefit for Paylocity.

What I like about HG Insights is that the platform is well structured for use especially for large businesses. It's simple to comprehend especially when finding company data making decision making a bit easier. Ease of integration, implementation, and customer support are smooth without any hassle.

What I dislike about HG Insights is that, the pricing is quite high for an individua/user and a small business. Also, sometimes, the data generated seems oudated which can make it less trustwhorthy.

With HG Insights, I can identify the best organizations to target by looking at the technologies that they use thanks to HG Insights.  Time is saved by concentrating on companies that are more likely to require our product.  HG Insights assists us make better decisions, the data also helps our sales and product teams align.

**What do you like best about HG Insights?**

My favourite part of HG Insights is being able to see which products each company has installed. It is especially useful when we are working on takeout campaigns.

**What do you dislike about HG Insights?**

The product installations most of the time are 'unspecified product' for a certain vendor. Although, the vendor name is usually sufficient.

**What problems is HG Insights solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When a vendor of ours is looking to target a list of accounts, they want to know what technology has already been installed on the accounts and what their security budget looks like. We are able to show to the vendor our value as a distributor by enriching these account lists with the data available on HG Insights. It has led us to win business, particularly in the SMB landscape.

**What do you like best about HG Insights?**

It is a great tool and a great sugestion from the G2. It helped me with data and insights that improved my paid advertising campaign.It helped me structure better ads, sales funnels and sales script for my team.  Having more filters would be even greater tool but so far it helped me generate more sales and create a better sales system.

**What do you dislike about HG Insights?**

The book demo. I would like a book demo period without the need to talk to a sales team but set up an account and use it just to try it out and refer it to more poeple and coworkers who might need this tool.

Sale system like Crm, sales script and related to marketing it helped me improve the sales funnel and ad campaign.

**What do you like best about HG Insights?**

The platform is user-friendly with almost 15 minutes of learning curve to navigate and understanding of the tool. It is quite intuitive and has on the go quick onboarding training videos. I was literally expert in utilizing the tool within an hour. The implementation was relatively straightforward, and my colleagues were happy with speed of deployment. The sales onboarding personnel was very responsive and supportive. I accessed the platform three to four times a day to ensure the insights remain current and relevant for my ongoing pursuit. While my company did not integrate the features to its salesforce platform, the tool has ready to plug integration capabilities.

**What do you dislike about HG Insights?**

Although HG Insights frequently updates its data, I felt that the insights on niche technologies or markets lag behind. If you are planning for a real niche targetted marketing campaign, I'd give 7 out of 10 for the tool.
I also felt that the customization options for dashboards and reports are limited. There should be flexibility for me to allow changing the list of fields while viewing the data.

HG Insights helps me in identifying target account with good amount of precision. This helps me focus only on prospects  who are likely to  need my services, improving lead quality and boost sales efficiency. It also helps me in enhancing go-to-market strategy by analyzing technology spend, market trend, and specific firmographics.

**What do you like best about HG Insights?**

The company level data, including install base information is super helpful, and I like that it shows a level of frequency and timeframe related to the data collected.  It's pretty easy to use, and super easy to get started.  I've not yet had to use customer support so I cannot speak to that.  There really isn't any integration for us since we use D365 as our CRM.  I understand there is a workaround, but we are not yet using it.

**What do you dislike about HG Insights?**

It's a shame they do not also incorporate the contact level details, but there are a ton of other tools for that.  Also, I wish it were a bit less expensive, it's a big ticket item for a small organization.

It is helping us hone in on who we should be targeting, around tech stack, timeframe, and intent categories.

We are looking for the most comprehensive source for information about the technology already in place at our prospects to plan a more personalized 'first touch' with our strategic accounts.   This is the best source we have found.  Target list creation based on the expansive data set is also valuable.  CSM team is responsive.

**What do you dislike about HG Insights?**

Licensing model. We'd like to put the SaaS platform in the hands of more users but the licensing model doesn't support that.  The export and integration feature with Salesforce arent' as powerful as seeing the data through the UX of the web experience.

Optimize our GTM resources for account targeting, personalization, solution / sales strategy, higher quality initial sales outreach.

**What do you like best about HG Insights?**

Granularity is the most valuable element of HG Insights for me. I like how specific I can make the filters in the opportunity generator and I like how deep I can drill into specific accounts in the company profiles. All of it is very easy to navigate as well.

**What do you dislike about HG Insights?**

Exports of lists have been tough to narrow down the size. It would be helpful to know how much can be exported at a given time and to offer filter suggestions if a list is too big to export.

It helps generate ideal customer profile lists for BDRs in my program. It also improves account visibility to find the best quality leads.

**What do you like best about HG Insights?**

The technographic data is unrivaled.  This tool provides amazing detail on contracts and spend with every technology vendor you can imagine, and really helps us with TAM analysis, GTM strategies and helps our account teams understand where key displacement opportunities are.  The standard company firmographics are also fantastic, revenue, employees, locations, etc.  Its become our absolute source of truth for this information and territoty planning.

**What do you dislike about HG Insights?**

There are some limitations when it comes to Public Sector and hierarchies.  The SFDC integration is somewhat limiting in the ability to use the in-app widget/tab to display HGI data directly in SFDC, and the tool is very cost prohibitive to give all end users access to it.

**What problems is HG Insights solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Source of truth relative to Account revenue and location which is our main methodology for segmentation.
Visibility in market potential where we can target competitive displacement.

Rich and meangful data. HG Insights data is one of the richest data set in the industry when it comes to the level of details of customer insights.

There is nothing as such to be disliked. Though they are already improving their matching methods and clarity on hierarchies.

HG insights as per our current contract does not provide spend details by products (SAP, Oracle, etc) and a vendor's share of wallet in the account

I fully utilize the spend, install and purchase intent content of their platform and incorporating them into my insights project to come up with data tools to be used for various purposes whether it be to provide warm opps list to resellers or vendors, profile the business portfolio of resellers or vendors and use the same data tools to recruit net new logo resllers or vendors.

**What do you dislike about HG Insights?**

Recently received feedback from a particular vendor that their products listed on the purchase intent catalog were legacy products and seem to not include their newer products.

**What problems is HG Insights solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The data provided is used for my employer's (a technology distributor)  initiatives on opportunity identification and vendor/reseller profiling and/or recruitmet.

We've found the variety of fields provided in the HGI spend & install data to be particularly helpful in building out our account-level TAM, given that our target customer can have some parameters. The HGI team was also excellent at answering all of our questions via both email & Zoom, and we found them to be great & supportive partners overall in our process of assessing, validating, & procuring the HGI data.

**What do you dislike about HG Insights?**

We did find that a small subset of the HGI spend data was not as accurate / helpful for our purposes, but this was fully acknowledged by HGI + they offered additional support to solve our problem.

Well... I'm good at Excel, so I think that the way the data is generated and exported, i'm good with the cleaning up and manipulating of the data to generate charts and insights.  However, can't say that for other customers.

We use the technographic and firmographic data from HG insights - these values feed into our CRM and provide us with our Account ICP. The best part about HG in my opinion is the CSMs/support team, they are always available with their expertise if we have any issues. In terms of usability, the platform is quite easy to use overall. We had some set backs with mapping /etc, but this is always a work in progress.

We encountered challenges with integrating based on the website domain. Despite these obstacles, they have demonstrated a strong willingness to collaborate and address issues in their product data categorization throughout our partnership.

Not only is the data and interface incredibly useful, but the support from the team has proven to be very valuable. But what I like best about HG Insights is that they continue to deliver value. When we first engaged HG Insights we had a small use case that they were able to satisfy. Since then, they have worked with us to better understand how their data and service can be leveraged to expand the number of use cases we now use. They put in th effort to build a partnerhsip and we now see  more value today then we did when we first started using them.

**What do you dislike about HG Insights?**

Not much. There have been some limitations in the way their product data is categorized that presented a minor challenge, but they have been more than happy to work with us to get these addressed over the course of our partnership.

**What problems is HG Insights solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We primarily leverage HG Insights to solve two key problems:
1. Identify organizations that are currently using a specific competitive solution (or set of solutions) in order to build lists of target accounts for outbound prospecting efforts. 
2. Research specific accounts we are engaged with to better understand their technology landscape and how our solution might be of most value. 

In addition to this, we leverage HG Insights data as part of our account scoring process by incorporating their technographic data into our model to better identify best fit accounts to prospect into.
