## HeyTaco Reviews
  ### 1. Easy Way to Celebrate Teammates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

it encourages us to celebrate our teammates and is easy to use :)

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

I wish that stickers didn't expire, and I have to login every time I want to use them

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm not sure that it's solving a problem, but it is nice to have

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> So glad HeyTaco is bringing some celebration to your team! 🌮 Good news on both fronts — stickers don't expire, and you can actually send them directly from Slack without ever having to log in separately. Check out the link below for more details!

  ### 2. Playful Gamification That Makes Public Kudos Fun

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

The playfulness of using emojis and the gamification which incentivises colleagues to give public kudos

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

Sometimes it's used in excess for people to gain more tacos/'purchasing power' and I also would love to see better rewards in the TacoShop, which I appreciate is company-specific.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enabling us to provide feedback and celebrate achievements publicly. This provides a sense of joy, especially when receiving tacos. It's also become a running joke in our office which connects me to my colleagues

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> We love that you called out the playfulness and gamification 🌮✨ When recognition feels light and fun, people actually participate — and that’s where the culture shift happens.

On the concern about excess use for “purchasing power”: that’s a really thoughtful observation. A few design choices help balance that:

Daily taco limits naturally cap how much anyone can give.

Public visibility keeps exchanges transparent — recognition that feels transactional tends to stand out.

Many teams choose to emphasize thoughtful messages over volume, reinforcing that why matters more than how many.

When tacos are tied to real moments — support, collaboration, wins — they land differently than when they’re just traded.

On the Taco Shop rewards: you’re absolutely right that those are company-specific. We’ve seen the most success when teams mix tangible rewards with creative or experiential ones (extra PTO hours, team lunches, charity donations, custom swag, etc.). The flexibility is there so each organization can tailor it to what feels meaningful.

We especially love that it’s become a running joke in your office — that shared language and joy is a huge part of connection.

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback and for keeping the taco economy lively (and playful) 🌮💛

  ### 3. Needs Improvement Despite the Appeal of Public Recognition

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley H. | Paid Media Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

I love seeing public recognition for my teammates and for myself.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

The rewards feel lacking overall, and the notifications are annoying and often distracting.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HeyTaco helps solve the problem of recognition happening privately, by making it more visible and shared.

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Thanks for your review, Ashley! The rewards in HeyTaco are customizable by each team, so what you see is what your HeyTaco admins decided to launch. I'd always recommend reaching out to your admins directly with feedback about the rewards. And if you don't know who your admins are, please reach out to support@heytaco.com and we can find out for you! Notifications can be turned off on your profile page in HeyTaco, or in Slack/Microsoft Teams directly.

  ### 4. Fun, Easy Coworker Recognition for Remote Teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

Fun and easy way to recognize coworkers, especially in a remote workplace

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

It's no replacement for regular recognition and feedback, and can contribute to a culture of upward recognition to leadership which may not flow back down to ICs, and can result in those who work less visibly feeling less recognized.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping breakdown remote workplace silos by creating a way to recognize coworkers. This in turn helps build a culture where we celebrate success and our peers.

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Thank you for such a thoughtful and balanced review 🌮💛

You’re absolutely right on an important point: HeyTaco isn’t a replacement for regular feedback or thoughtful recognition from managers. It’s meant to complement those conversations, not replace them. The most effective teams use tacos alongside 1:1s, feedback loops, and intentional leadership recognition.

You also raised a really meaningful concern about recognition flowing upward and more visible work getting the spotlight. That’s something we think about a lot. A few ways teams address this:

Model peer-to-peer recognition. When leaders intentionally give tacos to ICs and highlight behind-the-scenes contributions, it sets the tone.

Encourage cross-team recognition. Tacos are especially powerful when they surface work that’s normally invisible — support, enablement, cleanup work, and collaboration.

Use giving-focused insights. We intentionally emphasize giving tacos (not just receiving) to reinforce that recognition is everyone’s responsibility, not a popularity contest.

Name the behavior you want to see. Some teams explicitly call out recognizing “quiet wins” or less visible work as part of their taco norms.

We’re glad HeyTaco is helping break down remote silos and create a culture of peer celebration — and we really appreciate you naming the nuances that make recognition work well in practice. Feedback like this helps teams use tacos more thoughtfully and keeps the culture healthy 🌮✨

  ### 5. A Low-Friction Way to Spread Good Vibes Every Day

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ellen E. | Copywriter, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

Such a low-friction way to spread good vibes all day, every day.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

I'd like to provide my work pals with burritos as well.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HeyTaco is helping coworkers feel more connected even in a remote working world.

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> We’re so glad you called out the low-friction good vibes — that’s the dream 🌮✨ Recognition should be easy enough to happen all day, not just when someone remembers during performance review season.

As for burritos… listen, we respect them. We really do. But tacos and burritos have a long-standing rivalry, and in this house, tacos run the show 😉 They’re lighter, faster, easier to share publicly, and way better suited for spontaneous bursts of appreciation. Burritos are more of a private, two-handed commitment.

Most importantly, we love hearing that HeyTaco helps teammates feel more connected in a remote world. That daily drip of recognition is exactly how distance starts to feel a little smaller.

Thanks for being on Team Taco — we’ll keep the good vibes flowing 🌮💛

  ### 6. A fun and effective way to recognize teammates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel Alberto J. | Fraud Analyst, Marketing and Advertising, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2025

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

I love how HeyTaco encourages peer-to-peer recognition in a lighthearted and engaging way. It has strengthened our team culture and helped everyone feel appreciated. The integration with Slack is seamless, and the daily use makes recognition part of our routine.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

There’s really nothing I dislike about HeyTaco itself. However, I would love to see more reward options available in Mexico. For example, having a digital rewards card that works like a debit card would be a great addition for redeeming tacos locally.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HeyTaco helps create a culture where asking for help doesn’t feel like a burden. The recognition system encourages collaboration by rewarding teammates for their support, making people more open and willing to help each other. It has improved our communication and strengthened our team spirit.

  ### 7. Fun, Smile-Inducing Way to Recognize Everyone’s Efforts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

A little tricky to figure out how to apply the tacos to each user, but once you figure it out it's easy.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problems to solve - just positive reinforcement.

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Thank you for the kind words! 🌮 Making people smile when their efforts get recognized is exactly what HeyTaco is all about. Fair point on the initial learning curve — if it's ever helpful, our help center at help.heytaco.com has quick guides to make getting started even easier for your teammates!

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

Easy and fun way to share appreciation. HeyTaco integrates with Slack seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

No one teaches you how to use it. I've just had to tell colleagues how to use it. There wasn't instructions at all.

  ### 9. Quick, Easy Kudos Anyone Can Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

Quick and easy to give kudos. Anyone can use it.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

Limit of 5 per day. Would be nice to allow a set amount per month instead.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick ability to give kudos. Ability to see feedback from across the company.

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Thank you for the kind words! 🌮 Great point on the daily limit — the scarcity is actually intentional, since it keeps tacos feeling meaningful rather than routine. That said, your admin can adjust the limit to whatever works best for your team, so it's worth a quick chat with them if you'd like more to give each day!

Team problems. Now almost everything is solved.

I love how we're able to show gratitude and appreciation for our coworkers in a easy and fun way!

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

Sometimes, it feels a little noisy (too frequent).

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm not sure if it's solving an issue.

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Yeju, thank you for the kind words! 🌮 Totally fair on the noise — good news, you can mute HeyTaco notifications in your profile so you can still spread the love without the interruptions. Hope that helps!

  ### 15. A Fun Way to Appreciate Coworkers with Rewards and Stickers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

Being able to reward my fellow workers and show appreciation. Also stickers!

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

I dislike How little taco points count for

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me show appreciation to coworkers. This improves relationships in my remote work environments

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Thank you for the kind words — and stickers! 🌮 On the taco points, good news: each team determines how much tacos are worth, so your admin can adjust the value to make rewards feel more meaningful. Worth a quick chat with them!

  ### 16. HeyTaco Makes Shoutouts and Team Appreciation Simple and Fun!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

I love that HeyTaco makes it simple to give quick shoutouts and rewards to teammates who help out—it’s a fun way to show appreciation and build team morale.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

I don't like the kinds of prizes you can win and how many points it takes to win prizes.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of feedback and reward systems. It benefits me as I have an avenue to reward my team.

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Thank you for sharing this — we’re so glad HeyTaco makes it easy and fun to give shoutouts and boost team morale 🌮

We appreciate the feedback about prizes and point values, too. Rewards in HeyTaco are fully customizable and set by your team’s admins, including what’s offered and how many tacos are required. If you’d like different options or adjustments, your admins can update the Taco Shop at any time. And if you’re not sure who that is, feel free to reach out — we’re happy to help connect you.

Thanks again for taking the time to leave a review and for using HeyTaco to support your team.

  ### 17. Employee recognition goes a long way - Love HeyTaco!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

HeyTaco lets me see the great work my colleagues are doing across the organization. It’s especially helpful since we’re often on different projects or clients and don’t get to work with each other on a day-to-day basis.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

Only thing is we use it so much, sometimes the tacos get buried!

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Good for morale, highlighting great work and a feel-good way to compliment your colleagues.

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> We love this perspective — thank you for sharing it 🌮💛

One of the best parts of HeyTaco is exactly what you described: surfacing great work across teams that don’t always overlap day to day. Those moments deserve to be seen.

And yes… when tacos get “buried,” it’s usually because a team is doing recognition right 😉 A busy taco feed is a good problem to have. The nice thing is that tacos don’t disappear — they’re always there to revisit in channels, profiles, and reports, so appreciation still has a lasting footprint even when the conversation keeps moving.

We’re so glad it’s helping boost morale and shine a light on great work across your organization. Thanks for being part of such an appreciative taco-filled culture 🌮✨

  ### 18. Creates a Joyful, Supportive Team Atmosphere

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

It creates a joyful atmosphere, as coworkers share support with one another.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

You are limited to a specific amount of tacos daily.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It highlights peer support.

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> So glad HeyTaco is bringing some joy and peer support to your team. On the daily taco limit — it's actually intentional! The scarcity is what makes each taco feel special and meaningful. That said, your admin can always increase the limit if your team wants more to give each day.

  ### 19. Great Rewards and Easy Points Earning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mario C. | QA, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

The rewards are great and it's very easy to earn the points.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

Nothing really, that sometimes takes time to achieve the amount of tacos to exchange them.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Mario, thanks for the kind words! 🌮 Good things are worth saving up for — keep collecting those tacos!

  ### 20. Great for Sharing Team Goals and Achievements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

It shares goals and achievements with the team!

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

Downside is having limits per day on the taco we can give

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

none so far as no issue occurs

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Thanks for the kind words! 🌮 On the daily taco limit — the scarcity is actually intentional to help keep each taco feeling meaningful, but your admin can increase the limit if your team wants more to give. Keep celebrating those wins!

  ### 21. Lovely Sentiment, Unsure Execution

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2025

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

I'm writing this as just an end-user, and not someone who implemented the product.

It's nice to have a channel to send shout outs to your colleagues. There's exec visibility, so I'd like to think this helps them get more insight into who works hard and makes stuff happen for their team.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

I'm not really sure what the outcomes are. I think I get stickers and can share stickers with people. If execs/management aren't following the channel closely, is there any notification they get saying "hey - your IC got 30 tacos!"? Maybe there is, but it's not super clear to me if they actually see things and so whether or not you end up getting the credit for a job well done.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HeyTaco gives visibility into day-to-day interactions that IC's have with each other. It also creates a place to credit engineers and other more traditionally "behind the scenes" employees to get some kudos as well.

  ### 22. Good for keeping in touch with the team and is a positive influence

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bradley B. | Senior QA Analsyt, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2025

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

The tacos themselves send a positive message. I am for anything that contributes to a positive or uplifting feeling.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

Taco messages are not private and can sometimes be seen by people outside the company, like clients. This creates a risk of unintended oversharing, especially if someone includes a company name by mistake. While this hasn’t happened to me personally, I've seen it cause uncomfortable situations for others. I think having more guidance or nudges to use DMs in certain cases would help reduce these risks and improve the overall experience. Apparently, this isn't something directly controlled by HeyTaco, so I gave an 8 overall.

It can sometimes be hard for me to shift gears during a busy day to write a thoughtful message, even though the intent behind it is appreciated, but this is a very minor issue.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps the team to know that you're behind them. Sometimes people feel they're not doing a good job when they don't have a reason to (like they just don't understand something), and a positive message helps them to see that no one is upset with them.

  ### 23. HeyTaco makes it easy to connect with the team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary C. | UX Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2025

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

Easy taco reactions to add on and echo what others are saying. It's easy to use once you get a hang of it. I use it every work day and it's satisfying to collect the tacos.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

Only five tacos a day is a little limiting. It would be nice to have the stickers available in Slack. The stickers were confusing to me at first, but I figured out how they worked.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makes an easy way to recognize coworkers with minimal effort and saves time. Also shows the recognition to all other coworkers in a central place which I like. It benefits me because it feels fun to give and get tacos and lets me encourage my peers.

  ### 24. Always Happy to Receive Tacos!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caroline C. | Proposal Writer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2025

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

Sending tacos is a lighthearted way to show appreciation that is quick, informal, and surprisingly meaningful. Tacos boost team morale and spread corporate culture by allowing frequent peer-to-peer shoutouts to help build a culture of gratitude and visibility, especially for remote teams.
Seamlessly integrates with Slack, so recognition occurs right in the flow of daily communication.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

I feel frustrated when popular taco stickers are limited. Frequent taco alerts can clutter Slack channels or distract from core work, leading to notification overload. I would like to be able to mute a specific channel until a certain time of day. I want more emoji options, themed tacos, or deeper personalization features.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work remote and HeyTaco keeps me connected with my team.

  ### 25. Extraordinary and very motivating

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

The ease of changing the rewards, feeling valued, and having various options. The implementation time to meet goals and purposes, the day support failed, they resolved it quickly, almost within 24 hours. I use it daily, it's wonderful, it's easy to integrate as an incentive in a company.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

the time it takes to gather the necessary amount to access the rewards, sometimes the app fails since it was linked to Slack.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Constant motivation for the employees keeps me active using it daily, it helps me have a better relationship with my colleagues since I also use it as a means of interaction, and it is simply easy to use.

  ### 26. A highlight for my work day

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

I like that its a way to give kudos to colleagues that actually have tangible benefits. Its fun to see who other people are calling out for doing a good job, and is nice to be able to recognize people cross functionally. I really like that HeyTaco does frequent charity donation matches as well

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

Limits set on how many can be given a day but I am aware that is probably a choice made per company.
It can be clunky when you want to give multiple tacos to one person; selecting each individual taco emoji is tedious

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Giving kudos to people as a remote workforce makes me feel more connected to other remote folks. It creates a nice atmosphere that translates so well when we are able to meet in person. Its also nice to feel recognized when you help someone else out; taking the time to send a Taco helps me feel like Ive made a meaningful positive contribution to someone else which makes me want to keep doing that

  ### 27. My Experience with HeyTaco: Great for Recognition and Team Help

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** amit y. | DevOps / DevSecOps, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2025

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

I really like several things about HeyTaco and how it's impacting our team.

It makes giving recognition incredibly easy and fun. HeyTaco is perfect for acknowledging the smaller, but still very valuable, efforts and assists that happen constantly within a team.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

There's very little I dislike about HeyTaco. It's a simple, effective, and fun tool that does exactly what we need it to do for peer recognition.

Yet I find it that once a reward is claimed (I claimed 25 Taco sweet and fun treet) so its out of stock and anyone having 28 or 30 tacos need to run for 40 taco reward. Very likely depends on ORG level thing that can be solved by increasing stock.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It addresses the challenge of ensuring everyday efforts are recognised. In the fast-paced environment of IT, it's easy for smaller contributions and acts of help to go unnoticed within the daily rush. HeyTaco provides a simple and visible way for team members to acknowledge these efforts in the moment, preventing that "silent gratitude" problem where good deeds aren't seen.

HeyTaco actively encourages a culture of offering help and collaboration. The benefit here is a more collaborative and supportive team dynamic. We're seeing increased instances of colleagues readily helping each other, sharing knowledge, and working together more seamlessly, which ultimately contributes to a more positive and productive work environment.

  ### 28. A Fun Way to Reward Coworkers and Redeem Rewards

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

It is a fun way to reward my coworkers, and we get to redeem rewards as well!

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

The tagging could be better, like if I tag two people I want to give them each a taco, but it gives 2 to both

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coworker bond is strengthened by HeyTaco
And friendly rivalry is fun

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> We love hearing that — fun and redeemable rewards is a pretty great combo 🌮💛 And strengthening coworker bonds? That’s the real win.

On tagging multiple people: great callout. By design, when you tag two teammates and include “2 tacos,” each person receives 2 tacos (not 1 each). That helps keep recognition clear and consistent across the board.

If you’d like to give 1 taco to each person, just include “1 taco” in your message while tagging them both.
If you want to split different amounts between people, you can send separate taco messages to keep it precise.

We know formatting can feel a little nuanced at first, but once you get the rhythm, it becomes second nature. And we’re always listening for ways to make the experience even more intuitive.

Thanks for sharing — keep those tacos (correctly portioned 😉) flowing! 🌮✨

  ### 29. Easy, Visible Shoutouts That Make Recognition Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

I like how easy and visible it is to give someone a shoutout.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

The daily limitation feels too low. High priority projects that deserve praise often have more than 4 people working hard.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The visible interactions between coworkers being visible to other teams helps build an awareness and drive a culture of professional productivity and pride.

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Thank you for sharing this — we’re glad HeyTaco makes recognition easy and visible. That visibility across teams is exactly what helps build shared awareness and pride in the work being done 🌮

We also appreciate the feedback about the daily taco limit. The good news is that admins can adjust the daily taco allowance at any time, so if your team is regularly working on large, collaborative projects, that’s something they can tailor to better fit your culture.

One of our favorite outcomes you mentioned is the “visible interactions” across teams — HeyTaco often becomes a kind of virtual watercooler, where people can see wins happening outside their immediate circle. That cross-team visibility is what really strengthens culture over time.

Thanks again for the review!

  ### 30. Fun team appreciation, but sticker sending could easier—would love to easily without leaving Slack

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

Fun and easy way to show appreciation for team members.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

Not clear how to use the stickers! Would love to be able to give a taco sticker without leaving Slack.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HeyTaco is allowing our team to recognize each other in an easy way and with visibility to the rest of the company all in one place.

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Thank you for your review! Good news - you can send stickers directly from Slack with slash commands :) Check out this video to see how to do that. Happy sticker giving 😻

  ### 31. Easy to Use, Feature-Rich, and Simple to Integrate

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

Ease of Use, Number of Features, Ease of Integration, Frequency of Use

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

n/a, i guess more reward options would be cool though!

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves issues with recognizing employee achievements. Sometimes there isn’t a tangible way to give back, say thanks, or show appreciation, and HeyTaco makes it easy to give small gifts here and there.

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Thanks so much for the great feedback — we’re glad HeyTaco feels easy to use, feature-rich, and part of your team’s daily flow 🌮

Appreciate the note about reward options, too. Rewards in HeyTaco are fully customizable and managed by your team’s admins, so what’s available can vary by company. If you’re ever unsure who your admins are or want help exploring additional reward ideas, just reach out to us and we’re happy to help connect the dots.

Thanks again for sharing — it’s great to hear HeyTaco is making recognition and appreciation easier for your team.

  ### 32. Fast, Fun Recognition That Makes People Feel Valued

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bethany M. | Associate Director of Fraud, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

Fast and fun recognition! It makes people feel highlighted and they can use their recognition towards something tangible for themselves.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

I wish there was a way to use different emojis to award more tacos, like maybe a burrito = 10 tacos or something

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team recognition on a regular, routine basis without losing its luster

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> That burrito idea made us smile 😄 We’re intentional about keeping recognition simple and consistent so it stays thoughtful and doesn’t turn into a “bigger emoji = more value” system. That simplicity is what helps recognition remain special and not lose its luster over time.

We’re really glad HeyTaco is helping your team build a regular rhythm of appreciation — that routine, done well, is where culture really gets stronger. Thanks again for sharing!

  ### 33. Unlimited Stickers Make Recognition Even Better

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

The recognition that I'm able to give others and receive myself.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

nothing right now, glad stickers became unlimited.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

recognition

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> We love hearing this! 🌮 Unlimited stickers was a change we made directly because of feedback from users like you — so thank you for helping shape HeyTaco. Keep spreading that recognition!

  ### 34. Taco Tuesdays are now the highlight of our week at QA Wolf! 🐺

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca S. | Quality Operations Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2025

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

I've been using HeyTaco as both an admin and user for our fully remote team, and it's been a fantastic tool for boosting team morale and encouraging recognition across the organization. The taco system is really fun, and genuinely motivates our team members to acknowledge each other's hard work and contributions EVERY DAY!

Overall, I highly recommend HeyTaco to any company looking to build a culture of appreciation, improve employee engagement, and add a touch of fun to the workday!

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

There was a bit of confusion about how stickers are unlocked, but other than that, no complaints so far!

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HeyTaco helps us tackle the challenge of keeping our remote team's morale high and our connections strong. Since we're fully remote, it's easy for recognition to slip through the cracks, but HeyTaco makes giving appreciation quick, fun, and integrated right into our Slack conversations. It’s helped us build stronger relationships, boost team spirit, and genuinely make people feel seen and valued daily.

  ### 35. A Great Way to Celebrate Everyone’s Good Work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah S. | Strategic Partnerships Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

Reminding everyone of the good work we are all doing!

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

You can only give 5 a day which also isn't a fair number distributed across 8 people (my team).

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm not sure it's necessarily solving any problems, just stands as a good reminder to give feedback and to share the love!

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> We love this framing — sometimes the most valuable thing is simply the reminder 🌮💛 Noticing good work and saying it out loud goes a long way.

On the 5 tacos a day: totally hear you, especially on a larger team. That limit is intentional and meant to encourage thoughtful, in-the-moment recognition rather than trying to distribute tacos evenly every day. Tacos aren’t meant to be a daily allocation per person — they’re little callouts for moments that stand out.

The good news is that recognition doesn’t have to happen all at once. Over the course of a week (or a project), those moments balance out naturally. And for special occasions — team wins, launches, appreciation days — admins can always increase the daily taco limit temporarily.

We’re glad HeyTaco is serving as that nudge to share the love and give feedback more often. Thanks for being part of the appreciation party 🌮✨

  ### 36. HeyTaco Boosts Team Morale and Fosters a Culture of Appreciation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

HeyTaco is a fantastic way to build morale a culture of appreciation. Our team has embraced HeyTaco so strongly and it has become a part of work that we're all excited about. It is super easy, fun, and brings so much joy.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

Honestly, nothing! HeyTaco has amazing features, is super easy to use, and our team loves using it.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HeyTaco allows members of our team to be recognized for the parts of their work that might normally go unseen. It allows each member of the team to play a role in calling out great work and outstanding team members.

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> This truly made our day — thank you 🌮

We love hearing that HeyTaco has become something your team is genuinely excited about. When recognition becomes part of the everyday rhythm of work (and not just a once-in-a-while event), that’s when culture really starts to shift.

We’re especially glad it’s helping surface the contributions that might otherwise go unseen. Giving everyone a voice in recognizing great work is exactly what HeyTaco is designed to do.

Thanks again for being such an enthusiastic part of the taco community!

  ### 37. Hey Taco! Makes Appreciation Fun, But I Wish I Had More Tacos to Give

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erica J. | Quality Control Senior, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2025

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

I love showing my appreciation for my coworkers with Hey Taco! Giving tacos and receiving them feels like such a nice, thoughtful gift we can give to each other each day!

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

The only thing that's not my favorite is that I wish I had more tacos to give! I understand the daily allowance though.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a great way to encourage engagement and praise for our peers and leaders!

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Thank you for sharing this — we love hearing how meaningful tacos feel as a daily way to show appreciation 🌮

And we appreciate you understanding the daily limit — that balance helps keep recognition thoughtful while still encouraging engagement across the team. Thanks for spreading the taco love!

  ### 38. Who Needs Gold Stars When You’ve Got Tacos?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhinav P. | Sr. Solutions Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2025

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

HeyTaco makes giving recognition feel fun, not forced. The taco limit each day nudges you to be intentional, and somehow those silly little emojis spark real smiles across the team. It’s low-effort, high-impact culture-building — and honestly, our Slack would feel weirdly empty without it.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

Honestly, not much — but if I had to nitpick, I wish there were more customization options for tacos (like themed ones for different teams or occasions). Also, ability to put more emojis when sending stickers - right now we have to use what is available in the Chrome list - would love to be able to pick Slack emojis!

But these are just wishlist items — the core experience is rock solid.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HeyTaco solves the “silent gratitude” problem — you know, when someone does something great but it goes unacknowledged because everyone’s too busy or awkward to say it. With HeyTaco, appreciation becomes second nature. It’s helped us build a culture where kindness and recognition are visible, frequent, and even fun. Personally, it’s given me an easy, joyful way to lift people up — and as the top taco-giver in my org, I’ve seen how those little moments of praise can create big waves of connection and morale.

  ### 39. A Simple, Public Way to Show Appreciation at Work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

I like that its a simple way to show appreciation to people I work with everyday, creates a simple way where you can publicly highlight great work that people have done

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

Sometimes a sticker will expire before I notice it

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Useful as a recognition tool

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Thank you for your review and feedback! Fun news: stickers no longer expire! Every sticker that you earn from now on is yours to use whenever you'd like :) Feedback like yours is exactly how we shape HeyTaco, so thank you for sharing it 🌮

  ### 40. A Great Way to Show Real-Time Gratitude to Co-Workers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

It's really great to show gratitude to co-workers in real-time!

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

Sometimes I don't always to remember to give out my tacos :-(

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Help me stay connected with my team members across my organization and find out about the cool things they are helping co-workers with.

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> We love the real-time gratitude energy 🌮✨ That’s exactly what HeyTaco is built for — catching those “that was awesome” moments while they’re happening, not three weeks later in a review.

On forgetting to give out tacos — you’re definitely not alone 😊 Life gets busy. A couple of gentle tips that might help:

Make tacos part of an end-of-day ritual (2-minute “who helped me today?” reflection).

Drop tacos right when you feel the appreciation — don’t wait.

Or tie it to recurring meetings (retro, standup, weekly wins).

The goal isn’t perfection — it’s consistency over time. Even a few intentional tacos a day build a powerful culture of connection.

We’re especially glad it’s helping you feel more connected across the organization. Seeing the “cool things” others are doing is one of the hidden superpowers of public recognition — it shines a light on work that might otherwise stay invisible.

Thanks for spreading the taco love 🌮💛

  ### 41. Fun and Easy Way to Celebrate Wins, but Stickers Should Last Longer

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hillary K. | Community Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2025

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

I love how easy and fun it is to share props with colleagues. It’s a simple way to celebrate each other’s wins and spread positivity. And of course, the prizes make it even more rewarding!

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

I don’t love that the stickers disappear. It would be nice if they stayed visible longer so we could look back on the props and celebrations over time.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HeyTaco helps build a culture of appreciation by making it easy to recognize and celebrate colleagues in real time. It encourages positivity, boosts morale, and strengthens team connections, which makes our work environment feel more supportive and collaborative.

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Thank you for such a thoughtful review — we love hearing how HeyTaco makes it easy and fun to celebrate wins and spread positivity 🌮

And great news on stickers: they no longer expire 🎉 That means you can keep them around and look back on those moments of recognition anytime. We heard this feedback from teams like yours and are excited to make stickers even more meaningful over time.

We’re so glad HeyTaco is helping build a supportive, collaborative culture on your team. Thanks again for sharing!

Great way for team to shout out the work they're doing in authentic ways

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Thank you so much for this — we love hearing that HeyTaco feels like a low-key, authentic way to shout out great work 🌮

And we’re especially glad you mentioned taco reactions. Those little reactions might seem small, but they add up in a big way. Not every moment needs a full message — sometimes a quick taco reaction is just the right nudge to say, “I see you.” It keeps appreciation flowing without making it feel formal or forced.

Thanks again for being part of the taco-powered recognition movement!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

That our team actually has fun with the tacos, and that it’s super easy to use.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

It’d be great if using taco stickers was integrated into Slack, instead of having to go to the website.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building connections between different teams

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> Thanks so much for sharing this — we love hearing that your team is having fun with tacos and that HeyTaco feels easy to use 🌮

Just a quick note on stickers: you can actually give taco stickers directly in Slack when recognizing a teammate. We’ll share a link with a quick walkthrough in case that’s helpful.

And we’re especially glad to hear HeyTaco is helping build connections across teams — that’s one of our favorite outcomes of peer recognition.

  ### 46. Little tokens of gratitude that have a big impact

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor L. | Product Business Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

Inventive and easy for remote teams to adapt to. I've been using HeyTaco for years in my remote workplace and it has broad adoption across teams.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

There may be room for more creative ways to share tacos--the addition of taco stickers was welcome, but feels like there is a broader opportunity to mix up the formula and experience a bit, which after four years of using can sometimes feel stale.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's an easy and intuitive way to give recognition or share some positive vibes in a remote workspace where employees aren't in regular contact with one another (in person).

  ### 47. Great for Boosting Morale

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samantha G. | Proposal Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2025

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

The taco awards are a lighthearted and engaging way to recognize peers directly in Slack. It’s simple, fast, and creates an instant boost in morale. People love getting acknowledged publicly, and the taco format makes it feel fun rather than forced. It’s especially great in remote teams where spontaneous praise is harder to give.

It also encourages a culture of gratitude. Small wins and behind-the-scenes efforts often go unnoticed — but with tacos, I can easily give someone a shoutout and make their day.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

There are limits to the number of tacos you can provide each day, which I believe is set at the org level. However, this also ensures that they have more meaning when giving them out.

**What problems is HeyTaco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping to boost morale and build positive relationships with peers.

  ### 49. Instant Teammate Feedback That Keeps Collaboration Moving

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about HeyTaco?**

Ability to give feedback right away to teammates.

**What do you dislike about HeyTaco?**

The pings can be a bit too frequent, and at times the number of notifications feels like too much.

The visual recognition for my teammates is great.

**Official Response from Una Japundza:**

> We love that you called out real-time feedback — that immediacy is what makes recognition feel genuine and impactful 🌮✨ And we’re glad the visual side of recognition is resonating with your team.

On the notifications: totally fair. The good news is you’re in control of those pings.

Thanks for sharing the feedback — it helps us keep HeyTaco both joyful and respectful of focus time 🌮💛
