I appreciate how easy it is to share appreciation with teammates on Slack. It’s as simple as sending an emoji, but it adds a thoughtful, personal touch to recognize someone’s effort. This simplicity encourages frequent, genuine expressions of gratitude, which has positively impacted team morale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The daily cap of five tacos can be a bit restrictive for our larger team at GlobalGiving. I wish it was customizable but I think it's a good challenge to limit yourself. Also, I think the reward system/stickers are a bit confusing and underutilized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Giving out tacos is such a fun way to celebrate each other and daily/weekly wins! We even had a light up desktop Taco Hero award created so that each month's winner gets to have it on their desk. It's great for morale.
It has integrated very well with the systems we use and it is EXTREMELY user friendly! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't found anything so far that I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My company uses Hey Taco so frequently that I find myself thinking to myself all the time "I need to go give so-and-so tacos for that". It encourages all of us to look for ways to outwardly and publicly appreciate each other. In a remote workplace, this is crucial for feeling camaraderie and for feeling appreciated and valued. It is so easy to use, and there's something about receiving a taco for even something small that genuinely makes my day better. I also love the rewards my company has chosen for us to exchange tacos for; I'd genuinely recommend this to everyone Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing at all! It's awesome! Wish I could give more tacos in a day :) But I understand the limits of course! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
HeyTaco encouraged our employees to compliment each other, when usually we would appreciate someone but would not normally let them know how much we appreciate them. I love how it shows us weekly statistics on how many Tacos each of us are giving and who is giving the most. It's great that with our Tacos, we can exchange them for company merchandise! We use it all the time! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It may get to where we give each other tacos, just to give them and not to really compliment them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a fun and great way to share team wins. We love getting to celebrate each other as a fully remote team and call out the wins. It is easy to integrate into Slack for our team and the "extras" it provides such as Taco Bouquets add extra fun to giving. HeyTaco's options for using the tacos are fully customizable and allow you to work with your budget and values. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Having only 5 tacos per day is sometimes a challenge to work with for celebrating our team, but I am thankful this is a daily limit so I just have to wait until the next day to continue sharing tacos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our organization appreciates the ability to congratulate and uplift others within our daily chat environment of Slack. It is used very regularly by most teams. It is a simple thing to integrate into an existing casual work culture and to show new hires how to use, and the taco positivity has even made its way into the real world. My team has chosen not to use all the functions of HeyTaco, which I think makes it less powerful. I look forward to seeing us implement group rewards in the future. The only other downside is the daily taco limits, as folks often don't realize they are maxing out the number of tacos they can award that day until they attempt to, causing slight embarassment! It's a lovely way to show appreciation to colleagues and also to see other people being recognised for work they're doing - and it often informs me on other exciting projects/tasks others in the organisation are working on. It's also so easy and simple to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Only 5 tacos per day! I don't use them every day, but when I do use them I seem to run out quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's really easy to shout out someone or the work that they've done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that it feels a bit performative sometimes. As if everyone should celebrate and be celebrated in this way, as this has kind of taken over as the primary way of recognizing work outside of promotions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I enjoy having HeyTaco within my slack as it allows me to reward my colleagues of work when wanting to praise them for their work. I think this app allows me to maintain a great relationship with different departments within my company. I tend to use HeyTaco atleast 3 times out of the week to integrate praise for my co-workers. I don't believe there are any dislikes about HeyTaco for me. Very slight confusion of accessing stickers and shop when being introduced to HeyTaco through slack, possible relocation to give easier access to stickers and taco reward shop? One suggestion I would like to make would be a possible suggested taco notification to be received by end of day to suggest tacos to be given out to specific people that you interacted with within that specific day via slack (this notification to be given or suggested if person has not used their daily taco limit). I suggest this as there is some days that I would love to send tacos out, but forget to as I am busy or it has just slipped my mind to do so. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
