Every team member gets 5 tacos a day to give to teammates. Mention a colleague, add a 🌮, and say thanks. The shoutout appears right in the channel for everyone to see. There's no new app to log into and nothing to learn. Recognition happens where work already happens. The daily limit is on purpose. It keeps appreciation spread fairly across the team, stops favoritism, and turns a thank-you into a daily habit instead of something that happens once a quarter. Who it's for HeyTaco is built for teams that already use Slack or Microsoft Teams and want recognition that people actually use. HR and People Ops leaders use it to make culture visible. Managers use it to keep remote and hybrid teams connected. Founders use it because it takes five minutes to set up and doesn't need anyone to run it. Peer-to-peer recognition Anyone can recognize anyone, not just managers recognizing their reports. Every taco is public, so good work gets seen by the whole team. Values tagging Add hashtags tied to your company values, like #teamwork or #ownership. Each taco then links a real moment to something your company cares about, so your values show up in everyday work instead of only on a slide. Quests Quests let people earn tacos for completing things that matter to your team. Team members can submit a Quest for something they did themselves, or nominate a teammate who went above and beyond. Admins review and approve, and the tacos go out. HeyTaco comes with ready-to-use Quest templates, and admins can build their own from scratch for anything from finishing onboarding to mentoring a new hire. Milestone celebrations HeyTaco automatically celebrates birthdays and work anniversaries in your team channel, with no admin work needed. These moments often set off a wave of recognition from teammates. Rewards Tacos can be redeemed for rewards you choose: extra PTO, lunch with the CEO, a work-from-home day, company swag, or a charitable donation. You set the value of a taco. Teams can also offer more than 2,000 instant digital gift cards across 100+ countries, which makes rewards easy for global teams. Leaderboards and Giver Mode Leaderboards show who's giving and receiving the most tacos. Giver Mode puts the spotlight on the people who give recognition, which encourages more of it. Taco TV Show a live feed of recognition and celebrations on office screens, so great work gets noticed even by people who aren't in Slack all day. (Available for Slack.) Analytics See where recognition is happening, where it's missing, and which teams might be disconnected. Culture becomes something you can actually see. API The HeyTaco API connects recognition to the rest of your tools. Pull leaderboard and recognition data into your own dashboards and reports. On higher plans, you can automate reward fulfillment and trigger tacos from outside systems, like sending tacos automatically when a deal closes or a support ticket gets a five-star rating. Simple, transparent pricing Plans start at $3 per user per month. There are no setup fees, no contracts, and no per-transaction charges. Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial, and no credit card is required. Why teams choose HeyTaco Most recognition tools ask employees to visit a separate platform, and engagement drops off after launch. HeyTaco works the other way around: it fits into the conversations your team is already having. That makes recognition easy enough to happen every day, and a daily habit is what changes how a team feels. HeyTaco helps people feel seen, brings teams closer together, and makes appreciation a normal part of work.
