I like Iris because it takes a lot of the manual effort out of doing RFPs. Being able to bulk upload a large number of questions, like a thousand, and then having it automatically provide the answers is very convenient. I appreciate how you can define different contexts, including internal documentation, and give specific instructions on how to structure the answers. The ability to regenerate with AI is also useful, especially when we needed to include additional information like docstrings. I also find the approval workflows helpful, as it allows us to assign tasks and have multiple SEs review the work, which streamlines our process. This collaboration feature helps us manage RFPs by allowing multiple SEs to contribute, making it more manageable and saving a lot of time, especially on tight deadlines. I think the biggest one was when the team then downloaded or exported the Iris side of things in the spreadsheet that we need to submit. We had to provide multiple different docs links. And when it was then downloaded, only one docs links came through. So then we had to go through and manually add all of the documentation links back in where we'd linked multiple ones in the boxes. I found it have, like, less context on newer desktop products and things, which again, maybe we need to give it more context there. But the model definitely falls down on some of those areas or if some of the RFP questions are quite long or they have multiple parts, like a, b, c, d, it often says, like, even if it's more simple things that it could answer, it often says, like, not enough information to answer this question. Speed: What used to take our team days now takes a fraction of the time. We can get first drafts back in minutes, instead of starting from a blank page or digging through old proposals. Accuracy: This is where Iris stood out most for us. The drafts don’t feel generic; they pull from our actual, up-to-date documentation, so we’re not stuck correcting outdated answers or accidentally contradicting ourselves across sections. The inline citations also make it easy for reviewers to verify where an answer came from before anything goes out. Ease of use: Onboarding was smooth. We were able to add our existing docs and past RFPs and get the team using it quickly, without a long ramp-up. Even with citations and confidence scores, AI-drafted answers to nuanced or highly technical questions sometimes require a human pass before they’re truly submission-ready. I love how easy Iris makes the process by allowing us to do everything in one location rather than using a bespoke tracker or messaging coworkers for assistance. It provides a single source of truth for our RFPs, with centralized approved answers we can easily update. I appreciate its ability to learn with each RFP completion. Instead of rewriting the same answers, once the project is uploaded, Iris already suggests answers, which we can easily modify. It's so helpful to start with a structured answer rather than a blank slate. I also like being able to assign questions to individuals within our organization. The initial setup was super easy, and we were able to backload some completed RFPs to build our knowledge hub. Additionally, I value the Iris web extension for its functionality when RFPs are posted in a portal. The team continually adapts and provides us with new features, making our monthly meetings with the Iris team productive, ensuring issues are addressed and improvements are consistent.
