I really like it's mesh editing tools that are present in this software package. All the tools are handy and as per requirement. The user can easily import mesh file and do modification. Senior Mechanical Engineer Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) 8/14/2015 "Robust and versatile tool for converting large STL files into IGES surfaces" 5/5 What do you like best about Geomagic Wrap? Some handheld 3D scanners output STL files that have too many elements to be accepted by some 3D CAD programs for further use to assist design. An interpreter/translator is necessary first to clean up the scan STL and next to transform it to 3D CAD surfaces. Wrap is really good at this task, it has versatile tools for cleaning up the STL and multiple modes of converting them to IGES surfaces. Most of the industrial 3D scan outputs represent very complex geometry or mix of primitive and organic forms. Wrap can handle all of them with a bit of user's experience, ingenuity and trial. Wrap is not 100% stable, sometimes when the solver when runs into a difficulty, it crashes the program rather than giving up and displaying an accurate message to that effect.
