Vivun allows us to quantify product features and enhancements intuitively by summarizing the number of asks and their value. It's accessible as a part of the natural workflow (within Zendesk, JIRA, Salesforce, or Chrome app) making it easy for teams to log new gaps. Vivun consistently delivers new, advanced features about every month and I feel I have a partner in the Vivun team (always responsive and helps build solutions). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Successful implementation of the tool requires consistent operational processes to do two things: categorize newly created gaps into formal product feature requests, and associate JIRA work to the product gap. Without either of these, the tool can be limited in its efficacy. The Vivun team has recently rolled out new features to make it easier to do both of these tasks, but they still require manual effort and become bottlenecks if ignored.
Note Vivun is not intended as a solution to capture product bugs, due to higher natural frequency of reporting. Logging bugs continues to live as a separate process for our CS teams.
Because this is a Salesforce app, it requires an active Salesforce license per user accessing the dashboards and analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have a way to quantity our impact to the organization, while also having the ability to make data driven decisions about how to best scale our org. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not too much to dislike at this point. The UI has been buggy at times, but this has been mitigated by a great CSM team that helps roll out the necessary fixes quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First and foremost the support is top notch. You really feel like the Vivun team is a partner and as dedicated to your team's goals as you are. Product wise, I love how seamlessly it integrates with Salesforce. With so many tools, it really helps with adoption that we aren't asking end users use another tool. As a user of the Hero web app, I love the built in AI that provides recommendations for grouping feedback. It saves a ton of time and helps prevent duplication of data. Not necessarily a dislike, but a wishlist. It would be nice to have more control with in Hero on non-standard fields on the Product Gap & Opportunity Gap records, specifically custom page layouts based on the record type. Again, not a dislike, but a wishlist, since I primarily operate within the Hero product, but rely on my Salesforce team to update the page layouts and add custom fields for the different workflows we are powering with Vivun. How involved the team was with the implementation. I have never worked with a new app/ platform that was so involved in setting it up. They always say "it's easy, it just sits on top of Salesforce". That is always a lie, this however, was that easy. You guys made it easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We had one hickup with CPU errors, but that is mostly us. We have a lot of automation in our system so adding the app and it's triggers was the straw that broke the camels back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of being able to do the dreaded time reporting quickly and easily, while also linking it to live opportunities in Salesforce! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The date defaulted if the current day (which I understand), but I'm often filling in details for previous days, and quite often post to the wrong day and have to re-enter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Outside the software, the personal support is my favorite feature of working with Vivun. Using the product itself, I must rave about the workflow flexibility. Whether I am managing a specific project to supporting a global team of engineers, Hero by Vivun has made my Pre-Sales initiatives adaptable to our ever growing corporate demands. If it feels like demand is weighing down your team, you'll find Vivun helps make the bottlenecks visible so you can eliminate them. The Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing so far as my dislikes tend to be addressed. A nice to have feature would love to see visible log tracking through the life of a request (Who, what, when, etc). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Vivun allows us to systematize our workflow, allowing for increased efficiency and visibility in our technical pre-sales motions. The level of support we get from the team is extremely high quality. Feature requests are openly solicited for and delivered upon. Builds on top of existing Salesforce infrastructure, allowing for easy access to data and extensibility to enterprise reporting solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Management level visibility in-app is slightly cumbersome at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hero by Vivun gives me the insight I need to bring the true value of Presales to the business while providing my team with an easy to use workspace to track their efforts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Mobile App could be better with allowing the typical orientation changes other apps provide by turning your device horizontally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hero gives our users the ability to capture and analyze more information than we've ever been able to, allowing us to make decisions using conclusions that we've come to using data, rather than assumptions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It takes a bit of work to set up Hero and get it customized to how we do things, but it is worth the work in the end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Because Hero is connected to our Salesforce data, our internal roadmap conversations are backed with clear data: number of requests and opportunity value. Our field teams submit product feedback tied directly to Opportunities and our product team can prioritize feature requests by: region, account health, number of requests, total opportunity value, etc.
Hero has allowed us to have data-driven conversations across engineering, product, and our field teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's hard to come up with a 'dislike' is a stretch because any gaps in the product are quickly addressed by the Hero team. Overall, this product has been an immense benefit over our previous solutions (survey forms, spreadsheets, slack messages, etc.)
The current workflow via Salesforce can be tedious, mainly due to Salesforce limitations. However, Vivun has a Chrome extension and web portal that may help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With the help of Hero, we're now able to standardize our processes across the global SE team from the moment a request is made by our Account Executives all the way to us achieving technical wins with our clients. We now have more visibility into the sales engineering funnel, the types of engagements that we carry out with our customers and we're also able to identify trends pretty quickly and shift our processes accordingly in order to become more efficient as a team.
The team at Vivun are also a pleasure to work with. They are pretty responsive to customer requests and care deeply about customer success. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The reporting in Hero could be improved to provide more insight into team performance and help facilitate conversations during 1-1 meetings between SEs and their managers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hero has enabled us to channel feedback coming from out go to market and customer success teams into a more manageable forum. With hundreds of sales people representing thousands of client requests, it quickly becomes challenging to condense and analyze all the available feedback. Using Hero we have been able to streamline the channels of feedback, reduce duplicate requests, and help all members of the organization understand which feature requests tie to the greatest potential revenue opportunities. This saves time for product managers and sales people, improves decision making, and almost as importantly, adds transparency to our process, increasing the confidence of all of our stakeholders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hero is developing rapidly, and there are still some areas I would like to see improvement. Disaggregating the discrete value that a client ascribes to 2 or 3 different requests they have made (rather than attributing 200% or 300% of contract value to those requests) is an art, rather than a science, at this point. However, it is still great to have the current bedrock of data to work from. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First and foremost, I like that Vivun is the first purpose-built platform for PreSales teams. Whereas before we had to manage our business using Salesforce custom fields and custom objects, we now have a tool that integrates directly into Salesforce to better manage our operations. From a management standpoint, I'm a big fan of the reports and dashboards which provide a ton of insight into how my team is operating, trends we're seeing across deals, how we're spending our time, and product gaps that impact revenue success. From an IC standpoint, I really like the Chrome extension, which streamlines data entry. And finally, from an admin perspective, it's super easy to make updates to request workflow and custom fields as things change. Oh - and I'm be remiss if I didn't mention the awesome people! Founded by a group of PreSales veterans, Vivun's team clearly understands the PreSales function and is in the process of building a world-class organization. I've found all of my interactions with the team to be top-notch and very helpful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing right now... I would have said lack of Outlook calendar integration, but that's coming in June and will solve the only pain point my team had around using Vivun. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of Use, Integration to SFDC, Chrome Extension! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's hard to find anything negative to say, because Vivun is pure benefit for me. If a software vendor is going to collect information on pre-sales activity, the alternatives are all more unproductive, Excel spreadsheets, logging in to SFDC (ick), custom databases for pre-sales? No thanks. It might be nice if Vivun had a summary feature for me, as a user (not manager), so I could verify what I had entered quickly (in alignment with management objectives) in the Chrome Extension. Outside of that, I wouldn't touch the product. It makes my life easier, kinda like Expensify does on the expense side. Necessary evil, but as good as it gets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The identification of product and account gaps both prior to engaging prospective clientele and at various stages within the Sales cycle helps us to position our business for better success and improves our Go To Market focus. While the standard product checks nearly every box I also especially appreciate that we can tailor the solution to better fit our business, and merge existing data, since the software integrates with Salesforce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Thus far we've had a great software and services experience while adopting the solution, so I truly have nothing negative to report! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a Presales professional of 15+ years, I've always understood the value & impact that the Presales function has on the Sales cycle but a large majority of the tools / platforms in the market are focused on Sales, Sales Ops, and Sales Enablement. Nothing for Presales. Enter Hero by Vivun.
I was promoted to build out the Presales function at the beginning of 2019 when we had 3 Sales Engineers (me included). We had ambitious revenue goals in 2019 and I knew we needed a team 3-4x the size ..... but I had zero data to support this need. I came across Vivun through LinkedIn and engaged with the founders and moved to get it implemented ASAP. We started with activity tracking out of the gate, which ties to accounts & opportunities in SFDC. Within the first 60 days, I already had the data & proof that we needed a much tighter AE to SE ratio and was able to clearly paint this picture due to the data captured in Hero by Vivun. Fast forward 1 year later and the team is roughly 15 and we have a clear picture on how exactly the Presales function affects deals --- everything from average POC time (# of hours invested), POC success rate (75%+), avg number of demos per successful sales cycle, AEs with the most Presales support (good & bad), and about 10 other key metrics I track.
But that's just 1 component of the Vivun platform. Where it gets REALLY powerful is when you start implementing the Opportunity / Product Gaps functionality and the Presales "Hero Score" which gives the Presales "view" of an Opportunity. The Opportunity gaps functionality gives your Product team a CLEAR picture of what product gaps the market wants and clearly quantifies it ($$ amount) because again, it's fully integrated with SFDC.
As you can see, I'm a huge fan of Hero by Vivun. It's literally changed the Presales function & arms me with clear data to have productive conversations with my Executive team.
If you're in Presales and not using Hero by Vivun, you're flying blind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly -- nothing to dislike. I am still awaiting some future innovations, specifically Calendar integration but that's in the next release. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Helps manage critical deliverables for presales. Unparalleled support from their Customer Success team. The product is easy to use regardless if I am implementing part or all of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Would love to see more adoption plans based on the maturity of the company Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Activity tracking shows how much time is spent per deal and my manager can directly see how much time I have spent if I mention a specific deal during a 1:1. Opportunity gaps are a great way to show the product team what to prioritize on the road map without having to send emails to them all the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the ways of displaying the deliverables aren't showing and Sales Ops has the authority to change this. Would be great if I could do it myself, although this might be SFDC permissions, not Vivun. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With the integration to Salesforce, I appreciate the ease of use and the fact that we are able to tailor the solution to fit our business needs allowing us to utilize the data already in SFDC to make more data driven decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's difficult to find something to complain about! Integration was fairly easy and working with the team has been an amazing experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The integration to SFDC is great so that I can log notes from my calls and activities with prospects while also using Vivun to track the time and effort required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Always having to create Hero Activities for each Deliverables. It would be nice if these could be pre-defined and auto-associated. I think I heard this might be coming soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is a very easy to use product to manage PreSales workflow for the entire company. Easy to request PreSales engineers associated to the opportunities, resource allocations, reporting and ease of management. Flexibility and configuration setup is easy also. Basically a easy button for PreSales management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Initial setup to get all employees properly configured took little while, but Vivun was helpful to assure we got this working to meet our expectations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the ability to track product gaps. As SCs, we hear a lot of different requirements from a lot of different types of businesses. Being able to track features/product gaps in a simple and organized way and associate them with opportunity revenue is SF has had a really big impact on product road map conversations. I also like the ability to track SC impact/involvement in deals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really don't have much that I dislike. I wish the app/chrome extension was configurable to hide fields. We really only track on Opportunity Gap and Activities, so it would be great to be able to hide the things we don't use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its a productivity enhancer and provides the data we need to run our business Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Needs more integrations (with Jira) for example, so we can manage tasks without being constrained by SalesForce functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would say the most helpful part of Hero by Vivun is being able to see the level of effort put into each opportunity. Based on the information entered, Hero generates a score that helps for better forecasting. Also, being able to track opportunity gaps is extremely helpful for our product team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is sometimes difficult to find deliverables from the extension, as it lists all deliverables created by everyone on my team. It would be nice to be able to filter for your own vs. the whole team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
