I found it to be better than Google Maps for these features. It makes flyers and turns identification easier and helps me avoid taking wrong turns or reduces confusion at signals, which decreases the chances of accidents. **What do you dislike about HERE Location Services?** I don't like the accuracy of HERE Location Services. Sometimes the routes shown aren't the best, or they suggest longer routes that take more time. Compared to its competitors the pricing is quite affordable and can be taken in use with less resources. **What do you dislike about HERE Location Services?** The learning to be taken to build an optimized version of location services with an already built application is very complex. When relying on third-party APIs, data and privacy may be a concern because one has to be very careful and responsible while sending customer data or company data. **What problems is HERE Location Services solving and how is that benefiting you?** HERE location has many services like geocoding, routing, traffic data, etc. In my use case, we were creating an automated validation of end users' information authenticity. For example, if a user has entered a location in his virtual form, we send it to the HERE API and validate it if we get the correct response back. These APIs are also easy to use with developer friendly documentations. **What do you dislike about HERE Location Services?** The pricing matrix is a little complex where forecasting the cost at scale becomes difficult. The user / IP throttling could be better with differential pricing options w.r.t. different projects. **What problems is HERE Location Services solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cost to manage location data is quite high so is the updation cost. HERE solves this by continuously updating datasets mainly around the road infrastructure enabling accurate in app integration. Also, making GIS developer friendly is a plus that HERE provides. ### 4. This app allows the user to update any congestion, accident, or police location in real-time. Provides the best alternative route which saves time and money. **What do you dislike about HERE Location Services?** Here location services have just above average UI which is kind of cartoonish which many of us may not like. The app hangs sometimes which makes users frustrated. **What problems is HERE Location Services solving and how is that benefiting you?** As mentioned, this is an alternative to Google Maps with multiple options for users to update real-time situations, which benefits co-drivers, and the update from users will take minimal approval to go live in the application. ### 5. Utilizing their data in self-driving cars is another significant distinction between HERE Maps and competitors, and as a result, it is far more accurate—within a few centimeters of reality. **What do you dislike about HERE Location Services?** The UI/UX isn't as usable as Google or Apple maps, which is the only thing I don't enjoy about it. Since the HERE business model places a premium on accuracy, their attention to usability might grow. I would want to see their maps become easier to use by incorporating user-friendly UI/UX. **What problems is HERE Location Services solving and how is that benefiting you?** The use of their maps without an internet connection is one issue that HERE Location Services is resolving. It has evolved over the years. After the divestment from Nokia, it has gone through a lot of changes. Here offers quite a few datapoints that are either not easily available, or require multiple services to aggregate elsewhere. When the service works as intended, I've been pleased with the results. **What do you dislike about HERE Location Services?** I've used Here.com for countless development projects. Their technical support and customer service options are absolutely abyssal in comparison to their competitors. What would otherwise be a simple recommendation to always utilize their service t urns into a guessing game of whether a particular project can afford the time that may be required for an adequate response. **Recommendations to others considering HERE Location Services:** Do not use any professional or enterprise level services. It's reasonable enough to try any services on the Free plan and expand those to production use. You cannot test any Pro/Enterprise services without first paying, and subsequently not receiving support. **What problems is HERE Location Services solving and how is that benefiting you?** Attempting to solve large scale routing requests, specifically utilizing their large route matrix. We have realized zero benefits, unless paying for a service that is unusable was my intention. ### 12. It's just amazing that ant other competitors regardless of the quality of services. It catches the attention of the users in the first place itself. The people would automatically want to switch to this technology if advertised well. This product is growing in the market & will speed up very soon is what we all are expecting. The market will have a good option or I must mention the first option to choose from the list marketed. **What do you dislike about HERE Location Services?** I dislike the publicity method. Rarely people know about this technology. In spite of having the relevant features, the product isn't working that well in the market because of the poor advertising. Additionally, the technology needs a push in the market to feed people the way they are used to of it nowadays.
