Herdwatch is a farm/producer-focused Software-as-a-Service platform, offering a simple solution to reduce farm paperwork, help producers make better decisions and meet environmental and financial challenges.
Herdwatch was founded in 2012 in Ireland - Our software platform is used on over 20,000 farms & ranches, making it the No. 1 farm management software across Ireland & the UK and currently rolling out globally. We offer multiple solutions in one easy to use Herdwatch app - "Cattle & Dairy" for bovine operations, "Sheep & Goats" for ovine and caprine producers (formerly Flockwatch), and "Grass & Crops" to help producers manage their soil, land, grass, crops and ultimately their carbon footprint.
Sustainability is at the core of what we do: 1) Financial sustainability: We want to enable producers to earn a proper living and treat farming like any other business, 2) Social/Human sustainability: Interest in farming is reducing and producers are finding it difficult (and expensive) to recruit, so we enable them to do more using technology, 3) Food Security/Sustainability: Without a financially and socially sustainable farming industry, food security of millions or billions could be compromised, so we need to help producers be more successful, 4) Last but not least, environmental sustainability: Climate change affects all of us, including producers and consumers, so we leverage technology to help them meet that challenge.
We work with many public and private organisations in the agri and agtech industry as well as farmer co-operatives across Ireland and the UK, and are in the process of rolling out our platform globally, including the USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia as well as other E.U. countries.
