HelpNDoc is easy to use tool for authoring online-help documentation. It is so simple to start with that anyone can start working on this software on day one itself. Almost all the features are available in the ribbon itself so there is no hassle of searching for the options. I suggest this tool is apt for single users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This tool has a few flaws which I would like to mention here: 1. This doesn't support the WYSIWYG environment (What you see is what you get). The user cannot see the output immediately. For every small change he makes and wants to see the output, he has to generate the output every time. 2. There is no option to design the Skin for the HTML output like other tools. For any addition required, we have to create and add CSS to the output, which is very tedious. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My favorite characteristic of the system is it’s abilitly to convert my documents to a variety of formats including HTML, PDF and it even creates documents that are compatible with Kindle’s Ebooks. I am not the most tech savvy person, so it took some time for me to get the hang of the system and understand it’s full functionality. We store our manuals as HTML in Dropbox. While team members can edit the .hnd file, they cannot generate the HTML files unless they change the path that would be relative to where THEIR dropbox folder is.
