Some of Helperbird's features, such as the text highlighting and annotation feature, are not as customizable as I would like. For example, it is not possible to change the color or style of the text highlighting. I love how different fonts can be used to make the text easier on the eyes. I also like the reader method because it helps get rid of images, ads, and other things that can be distracting. Helperbird offers a huge range of different ways to get help, so everyone can use them. Because it combines Apple's US Alex and Microsoft's Immersive Reader, Helperbird is my first choice for processing information online for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Helperbird? This program has been quite successful for me, despite the fact that there have been some difficulties every now and again. That has been of tremendous use to me in my scholastic endeavors. Using this application is something I would recommend to anyone who, like myself, has trouble concentrating. What problems is Helperbird solving and how is that benefiting you? it's a huge help for those like myself who have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and have trouble focusing on long passages of text. Just being able to get rid of all those annoying advertising and graphics is a tremendous improvement. Many of our students, both those with and without dyslexia or other learning impairments, can benefit from this technology. It makes sure that all students get a fair shot at succeeding in school. CANNOT praise this tool enough." 5/5 What do you like best about Helperbird? It's insane what you can do with Helperbird. I felt like it was a text editor for every single website. I have trouble pronouncing some words, so I appreciated the cute menu of tools that actually voices a paragraph in a pleasant female voice. You can also translate the text by automatically pasting it in Google Translate, look up words in the Dictionary and even count the words and characters. My husband who is a little dyslexic really appreciates that you can change colors of the words, change fonts, zoom in, space out the letters, and even emphasize the links with little rainbow underlines. We're especially impressed with the Dyslexia Ruler, where there's a straight line of color overlay over a line of words that is fixed at a certain point on the screen, making reading easy if you're reading a whole block of words. Such a simple thing but it's genius! The overlay of color over text is such a good idea to reduce screen brightness and strain on the eyes. Blue is my preferred color for this. And that's just off the top of my head! This thing has so many features that it even has a feature to USE its features... a shortcut command to scroll down the Chrome extension to your desired adjustment feature. I don't see how anyone wouldn't like it due to its numerous features at a very low price. Wherever you stop reading, you can put a mark. It can save our websites. The auto scroll feature available on the platform makes it wonderful. If there is a policy change or update then there is nothing that can inform users about this which is not really a good thing for many of the users who likes using such a platform. What's most helpful about Helperbird is that it makes viewing webpages online easier. The UI is incredibly intuitive and it's just easy to navigate and adjust according to our preferences. It can be quite buggy on some pages. I think it depends on how old the page is and how its been built which Helperbird can't function with. I love the different use of fonts to customize what works best for your eyes to follow. The extension menu feels a bit clunky, and sometimes when you're on different websites the customized fonts will bleed past the typical margins and you end up scrolling over to see the whole thing.
