I like Auris Payroll because it's quick, easy, and simple to use. I never have any issues with it. The individual time entry grid is particularly useful because it allows me to go into an employee-specific payroll and make easy and quick changes to deductions and earnings. The initial setup was smooth as my sales rep made it very easy by sending over the paperwork, which I reviewed and signed. Setup was completed in seven days, allowing me to run payroll smoothly. It’s extremely basic, without a lot of bells and whistles, so you eventually get the hang of their system. I’ve never had a major issue with downtime or any submission problems. A number of higher-level functions can only be handled by Heartland team members, which is frustrating when you need something done quickly. When you call in, you’re routed to an off-shore call center that, in my experience, is rarely helpful. For legitimate help, I usually have to email them, and I typically get a response within about 24 hours. Reports are also incredibly slow to run—think year-2000 payroll platforms—and that’s the experience I’ve had with Heartland. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. We brought on Heartland Payroll+ along with their Time and Attendance product, but the two systems have had issues syncing with each other. This is a known issue to Heartland, and it has been very frustrating to deal with. Our main goal in choosing them was better integration and simpler processes, but that didn’t happen for us.
