I have been in the construction industry for 21+ years and i have used both HCC Heavybid and Heavyjob throughout my years. They are great systems that not only work well on their own but when used together help organize track and support the contractor from the prebid stage into the post bid stage and throughout the building process, final closeout and recaping your progress allowing to see what your company's strengths and weaknesses are. This is great for data purposes and will ultimately help the estimates and projects in the future. for myself HCSS is an everyday tool and as they say "I wouldnt leave home without it". The support is outstanding and the team is always there to bounce things off of. I am forever learning through the communication with the support team. Also they provide some of the best on-site and conference type teaching and coaching. From small businesses to large corporations. HCSS has you covered! **What do you dislike about HCSS?** I sometimes come across Bid sheets on estimates that have the cost broken out into formats which require some additional work outside of HCSS. I wish there was a better report builder tool that would allow for the user to tailer the report to match the requested breakdown in their bid. I would like to handle the process all in HCSS rather than have to pull from different reports. **What problems is HCSS solving and how is that benefiting you?** HCSS does not solve a problem it is what I would consider "Home base". The response from the customer service team is always prompt. And the resources such as the Heavy Bid Help (F1) and HCSS Community are invaluable. I particularly enjoy creating the databases for materials, activities and codebooks. It makes estimating quicker and easier so you can focus more on the nuances of how you want to build the job rather than "just" entering data. **What do you dislike about HCSS?** I wish the UGM was not so expensive to attend. I use Heavybid daily, or whenever I need to do an estimate big or small. I can complete tasks faster, show more detail, and customize to my specifications. They have incredible support anytime you need, and a network of knowledgeable implementation teams. I particularly enjoy thier community support, training sessions for all levels, and the webinars with upcoming features. **What do you dislike about HCSS?** The implementaion of their software can be time consuming, the more time you spend learning the better. **What problems is HCSS solving and how is that benefiting you?** The amount of time I can put into a bid that is accurate, reviewed, and ready to submit has drastically decreased. I have much more time to strategize, or focus on others tasks. The mulitude of reports and the customizable formats make reviews more comprehensive. Not an answering service or voice mail as many others have where you wait on a return call, you get a real human being on the line who can solve your issue. I have used HCSS since 1994, yes it was the DOS version then, and eventually went to windows and never in that history have we seriously considered another product. Too many imitators who may as well have been made by Mattell, they are toys compared to HCSS. **What do you dislike about HCSS?** My onlu gripe is that as my eyesight get challenging, I am in my sixties, the windows screen have too much grey and the fields run together. The old timers, like me, still like the color contrast in the old DOS Screen fields. Bidding is simple and easy with Heavy Bid and all Estimators use same crews & resources. Time sheets and project reporting is paperless now with Heavy Job and gets submitted daily for PM review. Fueling and equipment repairs/maintenance with E360 and Fueler Plus can be prioritized across 4 mechanics and multiple job sites. We are definitely doing more record keeping using less time and all that data will be useful for tracking and will make us even more efficient. ### 31. Then taper in intensity towards the last day. Whether it is a large scale deployment or for a small to medium sized business, they have the construction features that will support you where your specific scenario. Their customer service is the best I have ever experienced with any company. Any time I have a question about their product, need to update their services, or fix a mistake that I made, they have always been able to help me. Call wait times are low compared to other companies, and the support assistants can remote into your computer/server to do most of the heavy lifting. **What do you dislike about HCSS?** There is not much to dislike about working with HCSS. I have only had one instance where a portion of their software malfunctioned. After a quick phone call with their support team, they had everything fixed and operational. **What problems is HCSS solving and how is that benefiting you?** HCSS does the majority of our materials, personnel, and equipment tracking that our company has.
