For the email and calendar portion of Verse, I love how you can see when other team members are available before scheduling your meeting and keeping the privacy of those other's meetings by blocking them out in gray. Recently, my team and I have been experiencing very buggy problems with Verse. Rescheduling calendar invites rarely get sent to other participants leaving everyone with the original meeting invite and ultimately screwing up people's calendars. What problems is HCL Verse solving and how is that benefiting you? Working from home has been a challenge in itself. Scheduling meetings through Verse and staying up to date with email threads etc. has been relatively straightforward with this application. It has given me the chance to see my day, week, and month at a glance and block out time for events months down the road. The benefit is organization and efficiency for sure. Make sure you are on a team that all use the same platform. Once everyone is on Verse, it is way more valuable to you as a user and the organization of your team. What I like best about HCL Verse is that it can plug into the Lotus Notes database that my company used to use and put it into a light either mobile or browser client that allows me to view the content quickly and browse through it. One of the crucial elements of an email client is being able to find old emails. Often times with verse I do a search for something that might not be that old and the search feature struggles to find what I'm looking for. The search feature also fails to be able to search across different folders so if I'm looking for something in a sent email it will not find the thread within my inbox. I think it works great if you are coming from a legacy lotus note installation, but there are much more modern email and productivity suites out there. Verse gets the information I need to me when I need it via email but only if I keep things as actions and unread emails can I persist data that I need to find in the near future.
