How user-friendly it is. It was also easy to learen and understand and teach new agents. I would recommend Hatch to other solar companies as well as other sales organizations

What I like best about Hatch is they are always willing to problem-solve with you and come up with new ideas to improve customer contact.

It is very useful for staying in touch with our current and potential customers without having to consistently be calling. It is extremely efficient especially with the app.

There isn't anything I can think of that I dislike! I do wish when searching a customer in the contacts that the customer popped up first, it seems to show similar options and I have to search within the results for it.

I would highly recommend this product for anyone who needs consistent communication with customers

Staying in touch with customers, communicating with projects that are currently going on, and making our projects much more productive.

I think getting a rapid response to an inquiry is very good for establishing a connection with our customers. It allows us to get our foot in the door first.

Setup can be a little daunting and there needs to be a better integration into the new ServiceTitan API

Decreasing time to contact prospects. Rehashing dormant opportunities. It's helped streamline our inside sales team.

**What do you like best about Hatch?**

I really liked the chat-to-text feature.

**What do you dislike about Hatch?**

The downsides are that this app is faking it until they make it. 
It is a half-baked tool that cannot be configured by the end-user.  Everything from campaigns to workflows has to be done by hatch after going through their many 30-minute, weekly onboarding calls.  

We paid a total of two months ($250/mo) and the only hatch "strategy" that worked was the chat-to-text feature in their "speed to lead" strategy.  After a month of their onboarding, the following strategies were still not up and running: sales follow-up, customer experience, nurture and reviews.  

You cannot demo this app on your own, it is actually done expertly on their demo call. On this call, you get to see all the bells and whistles and I was convinced this would be a great help for our service business....until, the onboarding starts and you immediately get the sense that 1) they are short-staffed 2) customer service reps don't know what their website and knowledgebase state 3) onboarding calls could have been reduced to one call, instead of rushing through 30-minute, weekly calls, before you are scheduled for another call a week down the road.

They state that hatch communicates with getjobber.com (our CRM).  It might work for some, but it never worked for us.  The chats and emails that we were having in hatch never made it back to Jobber, so we had to switch back and forth between apps to make sure we didn't miss any important information.  

By this time, I've paid another month of service ($250/mo) and the campaigns and the workflows are still not up and running and they attempt to schedule a fourth onboarding call.  This is when I stopped caring about hatch and started looking for an alternative.

hatch is not solving any of our problems. It created more work and wasted our time.

I started being more productive when i switched from hatch to Salespype.com...which I highly recommend you check out.

I'd like to be able to plug in a phone number to find a lead. For example, when someone calls a forwarded number we have on file, but leaves no message, it would be nice to find whom it was that tried calling us by entering the phone number into the search area.

It provides an immediate response to an inquiry and we know getting back to the homeowner immdediately is essential.

It does all of the work for you. They send everything automated. It takes the guesswork out of wondering when you should be following up with your customers. It has been the best thing we've added to our company!

The only thing that's a downfall is each board costs extra. So you only have a limit and if you go over that limit they will charge you for each extra board.

No other recommendations other than you need to use it! It works wonders!

The instant response is wonderful. It keeps my leads a priority when I'm out and not able to respond.

The app is garbage. If you get a response in the field, you don't have any contact info at hand and you can't dial out from the app.

If you can be by your computer it will work great - they need to improve the app.

I dislike that there is no way to prevent automated imported contacts from salesforce to not be put in campaign if they were recently put in a campaign

While the product is cool, I would absolutely never recommend anyone use this based off the customer service.

**What do you dislike about Hatch?**

We were dodged by customer service, or flat lied to, for 8 months straight. We asked to end our membership 8 months ago (we were not on a 12-month contract) and are finally pending a refund. However, for 8 months support either lied to us or simply didn't reply to our emails. It's also extremely difficult to find contact information for anyone remotely helpful.

No problems solved, no benefits.

Lots of turnover with the account reps.  Also have some  issues with sending on holidays when we request no holidays.

Make sure you know all its capabilities.  It is very powerful and I feel like we have not utilized it to its full potential.

We don't miss following up with any customers.

My biggest complaint is manually adding customers to a campaign. I wish it were easier to bulk upload into a specific campaign.

**What do you like best about Hatch?**

Reasons we switched from Podium to Hatch:

1.       Online portal is user-friendly with separate, clean, & succinct dashboards for each department and sales consultant.

2.       Multiple phone numbers & chatbot extensions

3.       Phone call features within the system along with call forwarding

4.       Excellent salesforce integration of logging all points of contact with clients through the platform. I know this is now a feature Podium promotes, but it’s a little too late for us.

5.       Ability to setup & ease of use of auto campaigns for instant response to new leads and with integrations to our lead generation sources

6.       Ability to setup & ease of use of auto campaigns for follow up, for canceled appointments to get leads to reschedule, and for appointment reminders to clients

7.       The ability to customize which clients are entered into a select campaign based on certain criteria within salesforce & having the option to add/remove someone manually.

8.       Templates for use outside of campaigns

9.       Text, email, and voicemail drop features

10.   Ease to archive & access archived conversations

11.   Reporting & tracking data features

12.   Ability to schedule individual texts & emails to go out at a future date/time individually to clients

13.   Client profiles to view contact information, past conversations, internal notes, & internal reminders.

14.   Support team & customer success managers are incredibly prompt in response times & resolving issues.

15.   Hatch has other product features, including review generation, but we have not opted into purchasing those yet.

16.   The HATCH platform is already being utilized more effectively by 2/3 of our company’s departments. Service will be the last to make the switch, but service was also the only one who was very active on Podium’s platform.

17.   Ability for the team to opt-in & out of text & email notifications for client responses.

18.   It is mobile-friendly while their app is in development which we’ve been offered to participate in the Beta testing of the app starting within the next month.

19.   Ability to get rid of notifications/mark an incoming message as read and place in a designated column to show someone is working with that person or that they still need to be responded to etc.

20.   All these benefits at a lower price than Podium.

 

The only feature I am aware of that Podium has that Hatch does not offer (& has not stated is on the product future roadmap) is the ability to ask & receive invoice payments. Our team did not utilize this feature enough with Podium to have it affect our decision to switch platforms.

**What do you dislike about Hatch?**

Help desk tickets are not easy to track/ follow up on as of right now. The current system on the customer side is an excessive email chain which can get quite cumbersome and hard to follow on what next steps are or what the current status of a help desk ticket is.

**Recommendations to others considering Hatch:**

Try to get Blair Mumford as your Customer Success Manager.  I would also recommend thinking out as much as possible how many boards you'll have and in what order you'd prefer to have them in because once setup, those boards cannot be rearranged.

**What problems is Hatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were previously using another texting platform that was not user-friendly & messy. Hatch also solved issues with consistent follow-up for our sales consultants. It also solved an issue of logging all contacts with clients in salesforce we were previously experiencing.

Hatch does an excellent job of making sure we follow up with customers - checking on estimates, confirming scheduled dates, and just keeping them informed of progress.  We use it every day to help manage our business.

Sometimes customers get irritated with too much follow-up and believe we are nagging or pestering them
