I have used HashiCorp's vagrant and terraform to build, test and deploy infrastructure as code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The fact that the opensource versions of their products are full products. They have found that fine line that allows one to have a viable business model without compromising by cutting down the features of their opensource product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The fact that I need to purchase a separate license for the VMware vagrant plugin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the provider:

You should consider HashiCorp if your budget allows. I have no doubt that you can build something similar to TFE with a local Jenkins installation that executes terraform for example, but it will be a heavily custom solution, not easily transferrable to new projects and basically you'll need to support it on your own. What problems are you solving with the provider? What benefits have you realized?

Deploying Infrastructure as Code and making it immutable at a higher level. Usually people talk about immutable images, but here we can talk about immutable VPCs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use hashicorp terraform and Vault in our infra to deploy cloud resources and to manage secret in our environment, terraform and vault integrates very well and using both the need of CICD can be removed till some extent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The fast feedback and listening to it's customer request, terraform is the defacto for IAAS Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The company is still growing and making changes very fast Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the provider:

If you want fast feedback and want to manage your Infra resources in well managed way then once should checkout terraform, it is the fast best tool for IAAS Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
